This is a very fast and easy experience. So long as you follow the instructions and you have what they are asking for, there's no reason why it shouldn't work.
My experience was a thorough, 3-step authentication process. It consisted of biometrics, documentation and a live personnel who completed its verification.
Site was easy to navigate. The 1st initial setup take a little but, I'm ok with that for my identity to be secure. Now when using different sites it's so quick and easy and Hassel free.
Truth is:
I found it very easy to take photographs of my identification submit them to the designated site and then quickly received a phone call from a live human being which was very important and we spoke for a brief moment 7 minutes 10 at the most maybe as little as five she was very nice and personable and friendly and smart and did a great job and should be paid more regardless of what she makes now I think it's a good thing if only whoever designed your website did the Department of Employment Opportunity ( DEO) nowthat website is a mess seriously

It was very simple to upload your information and take picture,and in about 10 minutes after done. You get email saying that you id is set up
While being easy it was very secure. I wasn't redirected multiple times or asked repeated questions. Very straightforward. I would highly recommend this to anyone looking for past taxes.
Kept getting errors logging into ID.me. Help personnel walked me through how to do this. I should have used Chrome instead of Firefox, then I wouldn't have the problems.
To access my IRS account I was forced into creating an id.me account which accessed my computer and collected biometric information about me. Avoid using this at all costs.
I hope my experience can help others. I too had waited over 60 hours and the wait time freezes. DO NOT USE ANDROID PHONE. I had been using my ANDROID PHONE. I borrowed a neighbors Kindle Fire with Silk browser. In the middle of the day, countdown worked and I got a video call in about 3 hours. You have to refresh the page frequently. YOU CANNOT REFRESH ON AN ANDROID PHONE. Hope this helps.

I SENT DRIVER'S LICENCE, PASSPORT, A SELFIE AND SOCIAL SECURITY NUMBER AS REQUIRED. I'VE BEEN WORKING ON THIS FOR OVER 2 WEEKS. I GET APOLOGY EMAILS FOR THEM TAKING SO LONG. AFTER REPEATEDLY SIGNING IN, I ALWAYS GET A MESSAGE; WE'LL SEND YOU AN EMAIL WITH A LINK TO RESUME YOUR VERIFICATION PROCESS. I HAVE NEVER RECEIVED THIS EMAIL LINK. ID.me IS A JOKE. With tons of info the site "could not verify me". This went on for two days. Finally offered a video chat and with the same info everything was completed.
The young lady came on the video chat on time. She was professional, patient and caring. I cannot imagine how she could do better. She's a keeper for sure.
Next man she was good it didn't take that long. Everything was pretty much cut and dry right to the point. And I really appreciate the service thank you
