I'm trying to set up an account so I can verify my ID with the unemployment department when I went in to use my email address it said that that email address was already associated with an account I need help and I can't find it anywhere every number I call they don't answer this is holding up my unemployment benefits I haven't received a payment since December and I thought I had already sent in my ID verification but evidently not

I logged on to speak with an Id.me referee at 10:30 am it is now 9:15 pm and though an hour ago it said I was an hour away from speaking to someone, now it says I'm an hour and 45 minutes away. I work part time and must wake at 7 am. This site an egregious flaunt of power and is absolutely disgusting.

This has got to be the most atrocious website I've ever had to deal with. First two hours wasted getting kicked out of the queue for not being active on a support chat window that has no activity. The next 10 hours spent actively engaging with chat window every 10 minutes, no meals, no hygiene, now it's 10:20pm and I'm just now finding out that they closed at 3:30pm PST. My queue position is #1, and it's been #1 for the past 2 hours. The whole reason I'm trying to speak with support is because actual live agents are apparently non-existent, wait times say "more than 5 hours" despite literally leaving the window open an entire 24 hours, overnight on the computer. Lo and behold, you are logged out of the website after something like 30-60 minutes so waiting on that window is completely worthless. Basically, this website will never, EVER get around to helping you, if their automatic ID detection methods all fail. You are completely screwed. And yeah, of course this is the website the United States government uses, it doesn't get much more incompetent than this.

So I couldn't get through, wait time always above 5 hours - and finally I decided just to call EDD directly and let them know. I mentioned it was impossible, and I was frustrated because I had all my documents on hand and could show to my worker directly that very moment. He informed me he would make it possible to upload directly to the site. I waited 24 hrs, as directed and low and behold an upload button was in my UI account page, and I was able to upload. Just waiting to here from EDD now. Contact a case worker at DMV and let them know. You'll probably have trouble getting through, but easier that and more likely to get through if you just keep trying with the EDD number, as opposed to ID.ME.

Sucks system
January 16, 2021

Waiting three days for video trust referee to verify identity to continue unemployment benefit. Never get connected. Very frustrated system. How could government uses this garbage system to stop fraud. Beside covid 19, it is the government and this stupid ID.me make us suffer.

NO. DO NOT USE THIS APP. Rather tell your EDD office that you'll verify in person. ID.ME clearly states that it WILL share your identity and information to third parties? WTF? There is no way to contact this company besides chat or email. Both forms of communication will not respond.
THEY TRICK YOU INTO A TAKING A "SELFIE" with your phone which gives back door spyware and facial recognition to a privately held company that shares your info. NO NO NO WAY

Absolute trash

This service is a complete scam and probably collecting everyone's data to sell later. The wait time for a referee is 5+ hours and I've left my computer on for days and it never drops. No matter what method of identification approval I go through, it says it's unable to complete request. It's a complete joke of a service

THIS IS THE WORST COMPANY I"VE EVER HAD TO USE! I WANT TO GIVE THEM NO STARS! You apply with several documents and they ignore you for 8 hours, then with no warning because your not in front of your computer for 8 hours waiting for them... they make you start from scratch and apply again.

I already sent 4 messages today and not 1 reply, only way to get help is either by email (Forget it) or through their chat service, I was on from the minute they opened for chat 11 am Eastern waited in Que for hours and everytime I thought i was 8th or 7th in que i got kicked out had to reconnect, until the last time I tried to reconnect, got a message "Sorry Closed For The Day" try again tomorrow.
I would never recommend this site but I am forced to use their service due to the great state of California's EDD department who asked me to have myself verify my identification in order to receive unemployment insurance benefits.
Good Luck If you live in the State of California to get verified through this website.

ABSOLUTE CRAP
January 14, 2021

I am so unbelievably pissed. After waiting HOURS (3.5 first time around) you get a notification that "documents are being reviewed" THEN you get spit out and it FINALLY decides to tell you "something isn't valid." As I scrambled to get a new document uploaded thinking I will still get to finally speak with someone what does it do: YOU ARE BACK IN LINE WITH ESTIMATED 4.5 HOUR WAIT THIS TIME. This has happened to me 3 d*mn sh*t times. Last time I had uploaded a medical bill and the representative that was reviewing my documents apparently deemed it "not valid." It was a MEDICAL BILL WITH my address, WITH my prescription, WITH my name and everything. Instead of being able to speak with a person to actually see what you need instead it just spits you out and you've lost your place in line. TOUGH LUCK. All i can say is: EFF YOU ID.ME. Ps. I am having to do this because EDD decided my phone number was somehow different than my previous (even though its the exact same #) and flagged it as fraud. FUNNY seeing how I had over 10k stolen from me earlier this year (which I still haven't seen a PENNY from) because someone "forced a pin" on my EDD card yet THEY WERE ABLE TO STEAL ALL MY MONEY WITHOUT THINKING TO FREEZE THE ACCOUNT. Ironic.

I tried to verify my ID iwth this company for my California EDD claim and they do not respond. They're system dos not work. They cannot handle the workload. It's been a month since my EDD Claim was suspended due to Possible fraud and this company was hired to Verify ID's and they are HORRIBLE AT IT!.
I complained to customer service for 2 days and NO Response from ID.me. I had to complain to my Assemblyman and Governor Newsom. DROP THIS COMPANY! THEY DON'T KNOW WHAT THEY'RE DOING!

I have tried unsuccessfully to put in tickets to get into my account, I do not have the log in information for an account I set up years ago, the only way to get into this account is a support ticket, as the chat function just disconnects me after an hour of waiting, this is unacceptable, Unemployment is only giving 10 days to respond to the identity verification, I am on day 5 with no response and no way to contact the California unemployment department.

Site has several issues, none of which have any reliable workaround. It gets hung up on phone numbers, it can't handle any kind of curveball (foreign passport, maiden name), and the wait time for "referee" is basically eternity (nobody can confirm ever actually talking to one). Horrible customer service and basic troubleshooting. Really stupid and incompetent app beginning to end. Only an idiot who likes to burn their money would find this garbage company.

Do not use this service, the system is run by fascists. They try to force people without their consent to facial scanning by tricking them into taking selfies, etc. Refuse to connect via video chat and after waiting 14 hours, yes, 14 hours they hung up on us. This company is a fraud. Do not use this service!

EDD CALIFORNIA CONTRACTED WITH THIS COMPANY TO VERIFY IDENTITY! CALIFORNIA SHOULD GET ITS MONEY BACK AND MORE. IT IS A PAIN! I SPENT 2 DAYS TRYING TO SET UP A VIDEO TRUSTED CALL TO VERIFY MY IDENTITY TO NO AVAIL. CHAT IS ALWAYS 80-90 PEOPLE IN QUEQUE, BY THE TIME YOU GET TO THE 20 PEOPLE LEFT, CHAT GETS DISCONECTED. I SENT 8-10 TICKET REQUEST, 2 OF THEM WERE ANSWER ONLY WITH THE WORD " SOLVED", NO OTHER EXPLANATION GIVEN.

THERE IS NO PHONE NUMBER TO SPEAK TO SOMEONE, EACH TIME YOU HAVE TO GO TO THE SAME PROCESS AGAIN ONLY USELESS CHAT AND USELESS TICKET
