I am a senior. I would give ID.me a rating of minus 25! As an example, which star is 1 -who knows, some manager too stupid to have caught that. Taught programming in my career, too. Whoever designed this site is on drugs. No prompts. NO PHONE TO CALL FOR HELP. The virtual assistant is as worthless as many government employees. Been trying to get into my IRS account for A DAMN MONTH. But you have to go through ID.me. Talk about a goat rope. Pathetic. No help whatsoever. Instructions--non existent. The govt, both IRS and this stupid ID.me site wasted my time. After a month, still have not gotten into my site. Tried calling the IRS. Awful. The damn recording says we have higher call traffic than usual, call back later. Really? Same rediculous recording for past 30 days! No one to get tech help from. Makes me wonder whether there is any human at the IRS an ID.me who has a functioning brain to begin with.
Very good, felt protected, I felt safe, very pleased with the response time, it was simple and not complicated.

Could not get it done by myself so I went to the local VA office and had a rep there help me. Look like we had accomplished what ID me and VA we're asking of me as far as banking information, but when I return home I seen I had a email that said what we had just submitted to have been rejected.
I was very difficult to navigate the website and to upload the documents needed took more than 35 minutes just finally upload the things being asked

I was able to get my ID.me using my iPhone over home wifi from Overseas location. Was a straightforward process. I was able to upload my documents and get it verified. I waited about 20 minutes for a video call to verify my identity and documents. The whole process went smoothly with no intubation. Rep was very professional and pleasant.

Using either Login.gov or ID.me to get to my SSA was a horrendous process. Login.gov was easy to get into but the authentication process was torture. They would not recognize my cell number even though it's been the only number I've used in years and the number they listed for me was an old house line that hasn't worked for years. This required waiting for a secret code to come in the mail (10 days). After getting and entering the code, I fought the picture verification process having exhausted the allotted attempts for weeks, then after finagling getting an acceptance, the screen time had expired and kicked me out without saving any prior data, so I had to keep trying again for days. Then after using the secret code it kept rejecting my cell number, after which a real person updated it for me into the system (taking another week to get entered into the system). I was advised by another individual to try the ID.me as some people seem the find that more agreeable. However, the link would never open, then another individual suggested I try a different search engine (ie. Google Chrome). After numerous attempts at the "OK" button to no avail and numerous attempts at the link itself, I finally got to the data verification tabs which worked fine. However, even after finally getting into my SSA account (which I have had since 2017), I still have difficulty with the link locking up every time I try to access my account.
ID me has an old number on file that now belongs to someone else, but they won't remove it. Complete failure.
Site is repetitive & time consuming. But forced to use this ID verification by National Archives& Records to get my deceased husband's military records. But when site errors occur (not users fault) the "request help" process was arduous with incomplete "options". Spent almost 3 hours jumping through online hoops trying to get "help" ie having my confirmed "your are verified " authorization actually sent. But I only received 2 emails: a frustrating reply from "Roy" => an AI "virtual agent" … and this feedback evaluation of their site. How about sending my ID verification to its destination- ie that's your purpose- PLEASE!
Once you go thru the process of applying for ID.me you literally have it so much easier when you log on to other sites. IRS. DNV. PASSPORT OFFICE.
