Learning experience, I have never done this before. It wasn't time consuming, all the questions needed short and simple answers. Very helpful and informative from respectfully people. Who made the questions easy to understand.
Had multiple valid proof identification, still needed to do a video call, alright fine, had to wait 30 minutes only to have audio errors on the agents end and he didn't know how to fix so he ended the call, waited another 25 minutes for another agent and finally we got the ball rolling only for her to look over the same information that was already displayed. A complete waste of time.

If you have recently moved to a different address or another state than what your drivers license shows, don't waste your time. You'll go through the whole process and then it will reject you and say that it's an error to verify your identity.
How can we possibly know our data is secure? Are the latest protocols employing the latest and most robust state of the art technology, etc. in place to protect us? Of course they will tell us our data is safe. But being that so much personal data is being stored on such a platform, we should at the very least be skeptical. Nothing is 100% impermeable.

So, has anyone noticed that prior to computers, Identity theft was not even a thing? It's a fool's game to think that anything that can be transmitted in digital format is secure. I am over 60 years old and remember when things worked just fine before they were even used in daily life. Trust me... it was better.
I have used this service multiple times and have no problems being able to log in to check account information or change information the government agency allows to be changed. If anything, this service/program works better than some of the agencies' websites it enables access to.
You have no other choice. Own a smartphone w/ a good camera and lots of spare memory space to download Zoom or whatever app this for profit agency are pushing at the time. Jump thru hoops to prove that you are worthy or be unable to access government services. This is just a barrier to access basic services.
This is a difficult ask for older individuals who only use a phone for calls or texts. I didn't know how to use the camera and never took a selfie so was very distraught to even understand what was needed and had to call a family member to explain it. Same with Video calls as I have never made or received one. There should be another way for older people to do this without creating undue stress and anxiety
Horrid. Quirky software on even something as simple as an Apple 6e smart phone. Got lost in finding tabs and heaven only knows what else. Ironically, even though I got lost after gymnastics to get ID. Me's face recognition to work, I was admitted to the IRS site. Spooky and not confidence inspiring as more than a way to allow the government (over which I have absolutely no influence) to enrich ID. Me.
I have used ID. Me before when shopping through tractor supply or other places to get qualified for a military discount (spouse) so that I may have funds during this tough time to feed my husband and I's dogs and cat and birds. We use it for a lot to be able to use it through the social security office so I was able to secure my personal information and get a replacement social security card was even better. I really love being able to use this system so easily! The steps and prompts are made so simple for you on the screen.

As I explained already on a short survey. ID. Me gave me a sense of feeling safe with my information. For the fact that my identity has been stolen and hacked. The call was simple just had my two documents ready to show the agent and answer a few questions. I videoed in with agent and he was knowledgeable about the situation yet friendly so it went very quickly
