I just hate the commercials when you are paying for the service. Besides that it would be five stars.

Why does it take 3:15 to watch a program that is 1:40 long? It keeps freezing. Very, very annoying. NEVER have this on Netflix or Amazon.
C'mon HULU – with a approx. Net Worth of $2 billion – I think you can afford to put a TRAILER of the movies on your channel! Oh, and a better description of what the movie really is about!
Who though 144 Point fonts, constantly changing colors, poor listing order, and so many other problems, was a good idea? I thought Hulu had WAY better UX designers than that!
Hulu is not horrible but free offerings are slim pickings. Crackle has original programming and more. Go Crackle!
I tried Hulu but shortly after cancelled bc my internet provider offered me a great TV deal. Nothing wrong with Hulu itself but the customer service is RUDE! I was charged after I cancelled (no biggie) so I contact Hulu via chat. FIRST I was asked my birthdate - um that's not normal for any customer service chat line. SECOND he never asked me any questions other than email/birthdate. I sat on the line waiting for him to ask "how can I assist you" or something. I finally asked him how do I get that charge back and double check the account was cancelled. His reply was "i already cancelled and refunded" so I asked how long will it take to see refund... his reply "check email what else do you need?" Hmmmmmmmmmm well ok then. So I in turn asked if he was a customer serivce rep bc most ask questions - HELL they apologize for the issue. I GOT NOTHING!
Maybe he was having bad day but I didn't want to take that survey without letting him know I was not impressed with his customer service skills and I told him to have a good day.

I sign up for the trial period. You are asked to choose what types of movies or shows that interest you/or NOT. I chose only three British, Korean and one other. Then you are asked to rate films and shows if you are interested or NOT. Well after all this, and thinking this will be a great customized experience. A JOKE list of TOP PICKS FOR ME. All the shows I chose I DON NOT LIKE come up. I wasted all that time. Very little of the three choices of what I did like came up. So its basically POINTLESS to even waste your time with this "feature' that will help you to find shows you like. So that was annoying. And worse of all. When you are watching a show and the commercials come, 1/2 the time after the commercials there is a black screen for several minutes, then maybe about 1/4 of the times this happens. You get to watch the show, and maybe it will just stay on the black screen. Or give you "Playback Failure" and you press the 'OK' button given on screen, and again several minutes maybe another playback failure or you may get to watch the commercials you just did AGAIN, and another several minutes of black screen. And if you are thinking, after many minutes of black, this isnt working. I will start again. You can start alll over, finding your show again and. Starting FROM THE START of the show. Well DONT TRY and fast forward, because you think you have past to the part you left off... and it will take you to the commercials. Again. AND guess what happens then? Black screen. THis is not a network problem on my end. This service is not worth my time and frustrations if it were FOR FREE.
For the past week streaming live stops. Can not get in touch with support. When it works it is great. Getting tired of the pauses.
We have a 6 year old large screen Sony TV and hulu no longer supports it. They act like it is 20 years old. Horrible!
The show's are good but my god can they chill with commercials!? Every 5 minutes I'm not kidding EVERY FIVE MINUTES. And even if you pay extra you still have commercials! Not worth it.
Hulu reminds me of what it was like to download, or buffer, in the late 1990's. It's not worth the membership fee or my time.
As much as I hate to hand out a 2 star rating to any kind of service I have no choice but to give it to Hulu. If it weren't for the quality of the content I'd give it a 1 star rating.
After the app was updated to the new interface I have experience an extreme amount of lost connections while viewing Hulu programs. My Roku TV is hard-wired to my router with a download speed of 120mbps which is plenty fast enough for anything I want to watch. All ethernet ports on the router produce the same result of dropped connections with Hulu, while all other apps (Sling, Netflix, Amazon, Plex) function flwlessly. Switching ports does not make anything better or worse. Currently I am 19 minutes in to an episode of one of your original programs and it's lost connection 10 times.
Secondly, the interface is quite beautiful, but ultimately it's hard to navigate. As a fan of windows 10 and the "Metro" interface I was excited to see this revision to the app, however this is somewhat difficult to navigate. By "somewhat" I mean it's terrible. Not sure how they can fix this since I'm not an interface expert, but it needs to be done.
The biggest problem is the connection issue. Resetting the TV and reinstalling the ap fresh has made no difference.

Answer: Happened to me. Stay away from hulu. My systems is high speed and works great with YouTube 4k and Netflix 4K HDR. Hulu obviously is bandwidth limited which might work for customers who watch old movies but their technology is not good for 1080P and modern technology.

I love Hulu Live & was so tired of Dish for a few reasons. You should just try it. You get the first seven days free & can cancel anytime. No contracts, equipment or bullshit. All you need is a good strong internet signal which most of us have today. My monthly bill was $100 with Dish. My new Hulu Live bill is $80, but that includes no commercials & an extended cloud DVR where you can fast forward through commercials on recorded shows. You also get access to their whole Hulu library.
