I just tried to watch Mr. Robot on Hulu, for which I have an account.
However, after literally 15 minutes of having to fill out "surveys' ranging from Kohls to Cars to other mindless products, each of which asked for more and more personal information and never ended, I finally realized that Hulu had become what South Park in it's latest Politically Correct Whole Foods Fiasco season warned us about, which was mainly. ADS become self aware and taking over the whole Internet, and eventually managing our lives.
Well friends, it seems like Hulu is already there. So as much as I loved Mr. Robot, it's obvious that The Borg like entity that controls Hulu is not going to allow anyone to watch Mr. Robot on their website, at least not until they surrender every little drop of data about them, their families etc, to th ruling elite masters of the Ads. I guess I'll just have to pass.
If I could give a negative infinity rating I would
I pay for a subscription and anytime I watch this app the show or movie is constantly paused or being reset. This is ridiculous. Hulu you are a dd's an streaming service and you cant keep up with all the others. Recognize, grow a pair and fix your $#*!. Me and many others are over it and done waiting for your app to reload. Byyyye.

Whatever the $#*! the means. I'm trying to tell you your streaming app for Hulu is $#*!. Absolutely sjit if the app cant even load any of their content its annoying and a waist of everyone's time. FIX IT you $#*!ing lazy $#*! nerds.
As a subscriber to Netflix, Amazon Video, CBS All-Access and HULU, I would have to say that when it came time to cut back, I chose to cut out HULU (there was a new Survivor season... I had to see it) because I saw the most use out of my other 3 subscriptions. When I got charged again, randomly, after being inactive for half a year, I went to the online help, and talked to a lovely helpdesk assistant, Melinda L. Who was attentive, helpful and efficient. Typically, its like pulling teeth to get help with subscriptions like this, but she did a fantastic job assisting me and giving me a full refund (which I didn't ask for!).
Hulu gets a lot of crap for not being as wonderful as Netflix or Amazon, but one thing I appreciate about this site is their help. I may have to consider going back!
Hulu cancels your account for the month you'd ALREADY PAID FOR. Be careful, it's a rip off. It's the kind of thing that should be reported to the better business bureau because it's a rip off.
Edit: They fixed it, same day. But I still had to get in touch with them to do that. They also seem to have done a whole month's worth of a subscription rather than just give me back the remainder left on mine.
Nice plotting there, they know I'll pick up "The Dropout" and will subscribe for another month.
Dang it Hulu, I would have paid to watch the show voluntarily, no need for shady business practices like this. Plus I'm getting back Disney Plus for Moon Knight and would have been interested in bundling (I just don't watch ESPN).
In all seriousness though, I don't need "a free subscription", it's not expensive, and I'm okay with the Ads since some of them actually are nice.
I would love Hulu if they didn't force me to watch advertisements every few minutes. I could understand that if I didn't PAY for Hulu, but I do... so Hulu is just being extremely greedy and wants to have revenue streams from the customers and advertisers.
I have been trying Hulu for 2 days (thankfully for free) and I gave up. Here is my experience:
1. Commercials, commercials, commercials! Why pay good money for commercials? That's the main reason I gave up cable TV in the first place! No commercials on Netflix for the same money. Or Amazon if you prefer.
2. Streaming crashed 1-4 times per 50 minutes episode! Never crashed during a commercial and every time without fail when restarting, it goes to... guess what, commercials! Either the same or new.
3. On my Samsung wifi bluray the app would not display my Queue or Favorites and it wouldn't even remember what I was watching! So every time it crashed I had to do a search for the title.
So I won't even use my free month subscription, my blood pressure can't handle it.
I got hulu beacause I didn't want to wait for the new season of my show on netflix. I think I'll just wait! Hulu takes too long to load episodes, freezes every few minites, & the ads... way too many! I signed up for the free week trial and am cancelling before the trials up that's how much it sucks, so don't bother folks!
I have never received Hulu, yet unauthorizes charges were made to my bank account, by a person or address that did match my account number! I called and was told, unfortunately, this happens all of the time. I asked the customer service rep (Michelle) why do they accept an account card that does NOT match the person requesting service. I received no response, other than... sorry! I the spoke to a supervisor (Jarrod), and all he could say that he wishes Hulu's policy was different, but they will accept a card, even though the person's identification does NOT match the card!
My roku account was hacked and a bunch of unauthorized charges were taken from my checking account. I called Roku and they refunded everything except Hulu advising that I need to call Hulu to get refunded. Keep in mind I cancelled Hulu more than 3 months ago. Someone ordered Hulu through a Roku account that isn't mine but somehow got my debit card info. I called Hulu and they will not refund ANY of my money as I am not able to give them the information from the "FAKE" account. If I got hacked then how in the world would I know that info? I even asked them to take off my credit card and I can verify the card number and they still wouldn't help. This company doesn't care about people...just money. They don't care if it's fraud as long as they are making money. Unreal...
When you buy the top of the line with limited commercials you would think there would be a couple per episode. This Is A Lie. The commercials are getting worse and worse by the week longer and longer. Crooked greed just like regular cable
I have Roku's at my home and business and now I can only watch Hulu at one location or the other. What does it matter since only one tv can stream at a time anyway? On to the next guy. You're a stinker Hulu
You cannot beat this site for good quality streaming free movies. There is hulu plus, however there is so much on the regular hulu website to avail free movies, in high quality high definition streaming, you will never be bored. If nothing is on tv, check out hulu for free. Have fun
First hulu is free, awesome! Then I have to pay 8 bucks to see my favorite shows, ok I have eight bucks. But I have been watching Mr. Robot from day one and now all of a sudden I have to link my hulu up to a tv provider I don't have because I watch my tv on hulu! So idiotic. The whole point of hulu is defeated. If I can watch my TV shows with hulu plus, $#*! the company. I don't have a tv provider and I am not going to pay eight bucks or hulu and even more for an tv provider. If I had eighty bucks to spend on cable why would I bother paying eight for hulu.
I tried to renew my subscription. Every time I tried to do the payment. It said can not process. I looked at my account and it was on my account twice. And paid for. A week ago I was told it would take 3-5 days for it to be refunded. Talked to them today. And it's being reviewed. So they have a $150 of my money. And I can't get into the app to watch TV. They said they would call me today. 10 hours later still waiting for that phone call.
Hulu is forcing us Christians, and God fearing people to watch gay commercials. We see enough of that I'm movies and tv, but why should we be forced to see this? That is wrong and so inconsiderate. I have kids around and they unfortunately have to see that and I'm not ready to explain that. People should have a choice on what they see not you to decide for ya. You need to remove that forceful approach. It's distasteful and disrespectful.
I got a coupon to get 45 days free service. I attempted to redeem it and could not find the location to enter the code.
I spent over 30 minutes trying to look for it. I found the customer service phone number (which is not conveniently posted). I got the "long wait" msg and decided to put in the star for callback to my phone.
Nearly an hour later, I received a call back from an agent named Bethany. I started to tell her my issue and 15 seconds into the call the phone disconnected.
I immediately called back customer service and got the same "long wait" msg.
Well... HULU... YOU can have a long wait in perdition before I ever consider your service again.
After reading many of the reviews here, I feel I dodged a bullet. Thank you..
I had Hulu for about one year. I cut the cord after being fed up with DirecTV; a great company ruined by AT&T. Hulu turned out to be very buggy, it would freeze up and make the TV completely reboot at least once a day. Also, and this was the most aggravating, even after paying the extra bucks for "commercial free viewing," the programming is full of annoying commercials - even the shows recorded to DVR. Get YouTube TV, there is absolutely no comparison to the quality: the software is solid and, guess what, there are very few, if any, commercials - and I didn't even have to pay extra!
I Hate Hulu! Avoid Hulu!
Avoid Hulu! Terrible service - dropped streaming multiple times during viewing. I have the absolute best internet available and don't have problems with any other streaming service. Biggest concern is Multiple outrageous charges on credit card. My service charges last month were $98 and I'm not supposed to have ads- I cannot count the ads that play. I hate Hulu! I tell everyone I know!
I love hulu live product! I think it is amazing and it saves me money on watching tv and moves! It's really really easy to setup and it is affordable! I give it the highest possible rating ever!

If I am paying for a service, why do I have to watch commercials? Sure, I get to watch the shows the day after they air (which is nice), but I don't like paying for something and being subjected to advertisements
Answer: Not worth it since they updated their interface into an unusable mess. Customer service is awful, stay far away.
Answer: Happened to me. Stay away from hulu. My systems is high speed and works great with YouTube 4k and Netflix 4K HDR. Hulu obviously is bandwidth limited which might work for customers who watch old movies but their technology is not good for 1080P and modern technology.
Answer: It's hulu yet clearing the cashe every time before starting Hulu is substandard there overloaded
Answer: Yes & with Hulu Live you get all of the local channels like CBS, NBC, Fox & ABC. The shows are clearer too because of the way they come in from their On Demand libraries. I love Hulu Live & was so tired of Dish for a few reasons. You should just try it. You get the first seven days free & can cancel anytime. No contracts, equipment or bullshit. All you need is a good strong internet signal which most of us have today. My monthly bill was $100 with Dish. My new Hulu Live bill is $80, but that includes no commercials & an extended cloud DVR where you can fast forward through commercials on recorded shows. You also get access to their whole Hulu library.
Hulu's reputation is marked by a diverse content library and the appeal of timely access to popular TV shows and movies, which many customers appreciate. However, significant concerns have emerged regarding technical performance, including frequent buffering, app freezes, and navigation difficulties, leading to frustration among users. Additionally, issues with customer service, such as unresponsive support and billing discrepancies, have been highlighted. The overall sentiment indicates that while Hulu offers valuable content, persistent operational problems and a growing dissatisfaction with ad frequency may push customers toward alternative streaming services.
