Howrse is a amazing game, which I used to like alot myself.
So around yesterday, I sold 3 horses to someone. Then when I came back home after going to my horse riding lesson, I find out that I got banned. I sent them a mail, and everything they told me was that "my account is potential of having multi accounts". Not helpful at all, and I spent over 300 euro's on this game.
This means I need to wait 9 MONTHS to get back to how I was before yesterday.
The picture I attached down there, is in Dutch, let me translate it for you.
Hello.,
Thanks for your message.
Having multiple accounts (called multi-accounts) is strictly prohibited on Howrse. This is reported on several pages in the game.
Multi-account usage means that a player creates more than one account per server, or that several players play on a single account. So it has nothing to do with the sale of horses to another player, but with sharing your account (not through co-management) or creating additional accounts.
Your account was detected during a check. We use special software for this. We consider the punishment justified and we will not remove it.
Further messages will not change the answer. When the penalty is over you can continue playing on one account.
Sincerely,
The Howrse Team
I never shared my account with ANYONE, and never made a multi account. I started playing this game in 2014, and seeing howrse just accusing me of something that didn't even happen is even more sad.
This games used to be a lot of fun to play but it seems to have all gone downhill now and to top it off my account got deleted :/ I've been playing for many years now, 500+ seniority, horses with retired coats, bewitched pumpkins, diamond apples, rare custom companions, divines etc. and after I took a little while away from the game at the start of college they deleted my account along with all of my horses and hard work. There are also a load of new, ridiculous rules that had me losing karma points left and right every time I left the game for a while despite not doing anything intentionally 'bad'. Not going to be making a new account.
Ever since they came out the love divines were in a HOP offer every Valentine's. Guess what, now they're in the reserved sales for 2 000 $#*!ing passes and the new one is in the Golden Fleeces. It's not the first nor the last slight we'll receive from them. This game is run by greedy bastards and it deserves to crash and burn to the ground. I spent years and years on this game and like many others I put thousands of hours of work into it only for them to mock and screw us over at every occasion they get.
Unfortunately, the majority of reviews here are from people not experienced with the game. As someone who has been playing this game for 5+ years, I've never once encountered a problem.
A lot of people are complaining about the customer support, especially about sharing your passwords with others, even if they are your family. It clearly states in the game rules (that you are encouraged to read) that, under no circumstances, are you allowed to share your account log in details. As such, customer support doesn't need to help you, as you are at fault, not them.
Yes, people do loose karma and they do delete accounts without notice. But no one has accually listed the good points. Howrse is an oppurtunity to be creative, and have fun. You can enter your own GA and RC coats that go to voting and can become part of the game, and you can create your own Helios rays (backgrounds for the horses). The passes problem is not a problem for me. I am, and always will be, a non pass buyer. I earn my passes through daily objectives, which can give you up to 30 passes every day. The promos are hard to win, but they are most certainly not impossible, I mean, they can't just hand everything over to you. It is a fun game, but it does has a few issues. Players get to test new events, which is very fun, and help howrse find any bugs and/or glitches.
I am not saying you must get howrse now, this is just my personal experience. I have had a good experience (and no, I am not one of those 'snobby' high ranked teams. I am accually pretty low in the rankings). I hope a lot of others have the same experience I didn't, but hey, you win some you loose some.
I play on the Australian server under river bend stables. I started the account in 2012, still have it now in 2016. I find the game very well thought out, and well constructed. The AU server has a lovely community and the mods are very good. Graphics, ect are amazing, I love the auctions and direct sales. The ONLY problem I have with this game is the money side of it. When I started in 2012 (one year after the AU server was released) passes weren't really necessary. I was high up in the rankings and having a bit of fun. I was only 12. Someone co-managed my account for 2 years and when I logged back on, everyone was spending thousands of dollars and all their time on being up the top. Though this game is free and fun, be warned that almost EVERYTHING is money orientated. Very few promotions don't require passes to do well in. At the moment it's costing people hundreds of dollars to collect divines. Even higher ranked players are complaining. There's an argument that if you play the game strategically you'll be able to earn these things, but I you want a life (eg, a job, education.) you literally will find that impossible. The game is extremely good at getting money out of you. I've spent $20 of my own money, and the $40 I also spent was in gift vouchers I got for Christmas. The passes were handy to have, but I couldn't do anything very productive with them unless I had hundreds. I collected horses, that's it. I'm ranked in the 130th range, and still struggle to maintain that. Howrse has turned into a money sucking business that is not at all considerate, and I doubt that'll change.
In conclusion: it's fun, I love the community on my server, people are lovely, but do NOT expect to do well unless you want to pay money. Sad but it's the truth. Try it and you'll get what I mean.
So I have family members who share the same computer as me. Today, they banned me for 'multi accounting'. There was no warnings nor any emails and this was a huge shock. I find this stupid as me and my family members all have different emails as well. So horse lovers, stay away- or just don't let the rest of your family members even touch the computer. And don't tell me I'm just another stupid kid. I've been playing for over 500 days and was successful. I suppose having the same IP address may have confused them, but they could have simply questioned me instead of locking me out without warning.
I played howrse for some years then they banned me for 2 months supposedly for multiple accounts which is not true. I emailed customer service to tell them there was an error and received no reply. They have an event all the time to make money. They're greedy and not very customer friendly if they treat members like this.
I joined Howrse.com as a child in 2007. I loved it. I spent HOURS on it. Now, the game is unrecognizable. It is no fun and completely impossible if you don't want to spend real money. Final straw for me was the pass currency change and the loss of pass horses. They used to give you 1 pass if a horse died in your care over the age of 30. I'm a retired coat collector. Small scale. I'd earn enough Equus to buy a few pass horses a month and would save for coats. They took that away from me, and I refuse to pay $15 for passes to buy a retired coat horse. This game has been going down hill for YEARS, but it total trash now.
First off, I have played this game on both servers, International and USA. The game is full of greedy people who like to scam you of your hard work. The game itself can be very unfair to its users and I believe their goal is money, not the well being of their users. The game doesn't allow multi-accounts but allows people of the same "family" to have accounts when in reality it is not that hard to say you're family and then be multi-accounting. I have seen and heard many issues of Howrse wrongly accusing people who have worked hard and then deleted their accounts. The game itself is poorly created and is full of greedy people. I do NOT recommend this game as young players get taken advantage of the Promos always make you pay real money, and for young players it is very unfair. I will not be returning to this game by any means or recommending it at all.
When it comes to certain situations, via having to share one laptop with your family, Howrse will overlook this as "multi-accounting" with their "effective tools" that detect such things. Top ranked people with lots of money/equus, seem to be ignored. Whether they multi-account, horse traffick. Anything! They are pure as can be in Howrse's eyes and don't get 60 day bans like me and my 2 sisters do. SUCH a disappointment. You will have little players in the upcoming year Howrse!
Pay to play even though it's avertized as free. Customer service is by far the worst I've ever seen. Supposedly family friendly but mods and adimins punish you for having multiple family members play with their own accounts. Developers are just money hungry and do not care nor support their clientele.
Horrible website. Would give it no stars if I could. I used to believe it was a nice website. It was pretty fun, taking care of virtual horses, competing in special promotions to win special "divine" horses that gave you perks to help with your game. BUT three days ago I tried to log in, only to be told I have been banned for a month because I have multiple accounts. This IS NOT true. I only have ONE account. Now I do have family members who have accounts, and who help me out with my game every now and then. Despite me telling them this multiple times, they keep telling me that having multiple accounts is against the rules, and that they won't remove the ban. So it appears that I'm going to have to endure a punishment for something I DID NOT do.
So if you choose to join this website, though I strongly caution you not to, be warned.
I have played this game a couple of times and its very disappointing. The older howrse was a little better but I'm so disappointed with the new howrse. You can barely do anything even when you first start. Honestly just a waste of time. I'm going to keep playing to get to know the game a lot more which may change my mind. But I can only do this when I can actually log in.
I don't think they know what they're doing, me and my sisters got banned without warning because they thought that one person was behind all three of them. I emailed about their misunderstanding but they wouldn't even discuss or consider to lift the ban. They say people learn from their mistakes, but the howrse team don't give you the chance.
This online game Howrse is horrible because if you forgot to login in about 90 days, they will delete your account. They will delete accounts no matter if you paid them real money or not. I had a huge success playing this game that required a lot of time spent and efforts, but unfortunately they decided to delete it because I didn't log in in 90 days due to real life circumstances. I contacted them and they won't do anything about deleted accounts. This has happened to a lot of people, so I suggest all of you guys not waste your time or money playing this game.
My kids and i joined... each with separate accounts. I spent money on each person's account. We were doing it as a family fun thing. Within 4 days they blocked all of out claiming that i had multiple accounts. NO. I appealed and explained that the 4 accounts were for myself and my three children. Separate people, separate accounts, separate emails, separate computers/tablets. They refused to reinstate our accounts and ignored my request to refund my money. Basically they called me a liar. I don't know how their "sophisticated technology" works but it screwed up for us and I have to wonder how many others this has happened to. Seriously ticked off. I called my credit card company and they said I have no grounds to dispute it because I have one ip address and one method of payment so Howrse see it as one user. Next time I guess I should have my kids move out and use their own credit cards? Kind of hard as they are all too young. Ridiculous. Infuriating.
They never listen to complaints or concerns. If you feel if another player is being rude to u they will side in their favour so long as they didnt curse or use black listed words. They're making it harder to get passes too. They recently added a new feature that literally every player said no to when they put it on the test server. They also recently to me accidentally deposited a large sum of money into my bank account. They did not tell me about it at all, and 3 days later when they realized this happened without my consent they withdrew that money from my bank. It was their finds to begin with yes but they just made the withdrawal without telling me or asking for consent, thus I feel they completely violated my privacy. And what do they do when I SHOW them what happened? $#*! all. And they try to tell me it was delayed charges. I used to love the game and still love the overall gameplay, but their managment has me feeling completely violated of my privacy
I've had a horrible experience on here, my account was hacked passes spent, they don't recoup you for it at all either. Then one other time i purchased passes and my card got double charged and i didn't receive the passes. I will not support the site at all.
This is the best game I've played, the community is nice, it's easy to get passes. I don't know what the other reivews are talking about, 30 passes a day if you do your daily objectives!
Answer: You can't. There is no customer service number, and administrators don't have the authority or access to deal with most issues. All you can do is send an email to Ubisoft and hope you get a response sometime in the next decade.
Answer: Legit company, but their account recovery and other game features are a joke.
Answer: Howrse WAS a fun, easily advancable website that allowed me to collect certain items in the game that I liked.
