I have been on this game for years... and i mean easily 5-8 years. I worked so hard to build up passes, and horses, and breeds, and build up an equestrian center and games within this game to have a pretty awesome set up. I was thoroughly dissapointed when my personal life changed a bit and after having to take some time of from the game i login to see MY ACCOUNT HAD BEEN DELETED... my email wasn't even associated with the game anymore. YEARS and so much time of work and real money was WASTED on this game. Only to have my account deleted without notice, without warning, just GONE... I'm so heart broken and disapointed in the game. I don't even want to take the time to start over after spending so much time investing myself into this game... so upset.

Though the game can be fun after you unlock all pages and gain some experience and items, the customer support they offer is terrible. At one point, someone I didn't know somehow got into my account and changed the password and email, so I was unable to gain my account back. So I contacted customer support (keep in mind I had bought many passes and spent tons of money on the game before) and told them what had happened. They told me I had shared my password (which I hadn't) therefore I had to face my own consequences. After explaining that I hadn't shared my information, they told me to tell them my last pass transaction ID (from the last purchase) but because I had chose to pay through mobile bill the whole time, my phone had deleted the "junk" messages a while back. I told the support that and they refused to help anymore. They hadn't even bothered to change the account email back to the previous one so I can reset my password (which was what I suggested, and I can see why they didn't do so for security's sake), but through their emails, it was quite evident that they didn't bother to look into each issue they received thoroughly.

Where to begin, the rules change constantly, the game is all about favorites, if you are a favorite you can get away with murder, if not they will ban you without warning. Costs too much money anymore to stay afloat, they claim it as a free site but make it nearly impossible to do anything without spending a LOT of money. I have played the game for years, have a top 100 ranked account and literally have bought 2k passes over the years, and I recently got banned for sticking up for someone whose account was stolen, and the management was going to sweep it under the rug, yet the mods can curse you out and you can't say anything because you are censored. Lots of childish drama, and fighting, and general not nice atmosphere anymore. Ubisoft needs to come in and clean house and fire a lot of its moderator staff, and don't even think about using contact us. if you have to use it they give you a cookie cutter answer and ignore you, they wont fix anything, even if its Their fault, and if you need something refunded better go get a lottery ticket, because it's NOT happening. Lots of better games out there, stay away

Perhaps one of the the worst games to exist. Incompetent administration, corrupt moderations and a gaggle of players who can do no wrong.

There is no free speech on this website called howrse.con. Any complaints about the company will get you docked karma (their magical system for silencing players) and they will restrict your gameplay functions. Anything said MUST be sugarcoated or the admin or one of their brainwashed moderators will target you for the rest of your game.

Their "contact us" is the WORST. Administration do not have provide proof for any of their actions, citing "privacy reasons". I'm pretty sure that's illegal or something, but since Howrse is an obscure game, they can skirt these regulations. Their behavior is also hilarious. Replies seem to be automated, and there is no consideration of the human behind the screen. You have no rights on this game, and admin can and WILL sanction you and ban you.

Their game rules are not "exhaustive", which means if they don't like you, they will find a way to make a rule so that you can be sanctioned. They must be getting pay rises for banning the players honestly. Just a power hungry corrupt team of incompetent "people".

Now, the game isn't sucky at all. It's quite addicting, with a handful of decent players. But do I recommend it? No! You'll be screwed over sooner or later.

This game and the company that manages it has got to be one of the most misleading things I've ever seen. They did a "economic overhaul" and all players who sell horses have to be taxed on the sale price. The 10% of funds go to a "community piggy bank" where you can buy special items for easily obtained "equus" instead of store bought "passes". The thing that makes me, and a lot of other players, mad is that there is no announcement of the "community piggy bank" opening to buy the items. They send out other almost worthless emails about the game, but can't bother to send out a notification that players put their earned time into happening? They also implemented this feature for the sake of curving "item and pass trafficking". Bogus.

There are also more and more reports of accounts that have had hundreds, if not thousands, of real dollars put into being hacked. Howrse's website is a very simple, hackable script. And their security features are so simple it's very easy to hack other player's accounts. Howrse, your players out TIME, MONEY, ENERGY and FAITH in you and your game. Step up and be held accountable to your actions! Offering a player who spent hundreds of dollars into your company an almost worthless starting pack after her account and hundreds of literally irreplaceable horses are lost is ABSOLUTELY OBSURD! This is what turns long time players off of putting more money into your game!

OK... I have a TON of issues with the way this game is run as many other reviewers had mentioned. BUT I would like to share something in concerns of free passes through Woobi offers. I was banned from my Howrse account recently after receiving free passes through Woobi offers. Apparently Woobi gave me 9 passes that I had earned doing surveys etc. THEN tried to take the 9 passes I earned, back from my Howrse account after they had already been spent. Resulting in -9 passes altogether on my account, and a ban until I could pay back all 9 passes. I felt like I was scammed here in this moment with owlient. The worst part about all of this was i was originally banned only for -2 passes to begin with, then after about 3 months of not logging on to my account after being pissed from being banned in the fist place is when I saw my -2 passes had become -9. I was irate. Customer service didn't do $#*! as usual. Never have I heard of people being banned for this $#*!. Put a god damn warning about woobi offers! Can't believe that they can give u passes and take them from your account. Joke was on Howrse though, I literally paid back all my -pass debt with more free offers. Unbanned but still very pissed off and NEVER will I use WOOBI offers again. Complete crock of $#*!. Free offers my $#*!.

I logged in a month ago to find half of my 'in game' money removed, all the 'social' aspects of the game locked to me and unable to obtain passes, even the free way. There was no email warning or explaining why, no indication of what I had done wrong. I finally had to contact the company and ask for an explanation. To which they replied that they had 'sophisticated' tools to detect cheating, and therefore the punishment was fair and non-negotiable. The topic was then locked to prevent further reply from me.

(Which, apparently I was cheating, but I did not know. After reading through the terms multiple times, and running word searches that came up empty, I thought it was ok. I STILL do not understand why it would be considered cheating.)

They consistently 'make up' rules on the spot. Not all of these so-called rules are written down. (Such as 'not being allowed to write opinion posts on the forums. Or Don't Rant on the Forums. NOWHERE are these so-called rules posted, yet if you dare do it, your karma will be docked.) The written rules are inconsistent (Ie, some show up on the karma page in simplified form, a lot do not) and their 'terms' page is verbose and Hard to find answers to a simple topic. Yet the company does not care. You should just 'know' these things.

Their moderation and customer support is extremely rude.

The game is fun enough - if you can slide under their radar. But you will still run into issues in their unfair platform which allows relatively small groups of players to gain, and hold top spots with little chance of newer players EVER reaching the top spots, winning in the Prix or holding an above average horse. Just heard about howrse and started this month? Well, enjoy your lowly status. You'll be there until you quit.

In 2013 I started my first profile, I was 13. For the first year I was getting the hang of it and trying to work my way through this adult and older person dominated game. This account lasted till early 2015. Along the way I got bullied enough for "not being good enough". Then the mods started stalking me! All because I had an opinion and stood up for myself. Countless karma losses and a while later I swapped profiles. That day I started a new profile, bought 2 passes and a business key and sold my original horses to my new profile and deleted my old one. Less than 24hrs later I got suspended for multi accounting, so I sold my horses to an amazing friend and deleted my account and made a new one. I got suicidal messages from someone saying I was a horrible person and that I maie them want to kill themselves. I pride myself on not being a "dibber dobber" so I told them to not make suicidal threats at me and they reported me. I lost 1 karma point. Then people were writing things about me in the forums, I asked them to stop publicly. BAM! Another point gone. Now I currently have a 1 month ban and 2 karma points for "multiaccounting" again not that I was. I spent near $100 throughout my game and this is how I get treated?

Freedom of speech DOES NOT exist on howrse. Don't stand up for yourself or anyone else. Don't have an opinion. Don't even tell someone to stop making suicidal threats! Just shut up, buy passes and keep those bastards employed and in a job while we suffer in silence

I have played on Howrse for over 10 years now and I have seen some unfairness when playing, but now I can see how one sided it is; I and another player were warned simply for standing up for ourselves to a person that decided to belittle and bully with their high-and-mighty attitude of "you have no life because you play differently to me". It seems unless you pat Howrse's backside you are enemy number 1, which makes you a target.
While I will not be one of those that goes "Howrse is a game only for the rich" as I know from experience you can play by in game means, but having one side that is allowed to bully another is sickening and makes for an insanely bad atmosphere.
Contact us is beyond useless and is all hush hush when it comes to telling us things and will never admit fault, even when they were not clear and it cost you to lose out as a result, something which happened to myself and several others during a promo that happened last year.
Some of the mods are so far up their backside that it is quite clear they are just kissing Howrse's backside or are just too far up their own high horse to care that they are insulting a lot of people and just being rude. That said, there are some lovely mods that are beyond kind and helpful and will do whatever they can to help you, but there are more good than bad.
10 years of loyalty and I have finally opened my eyes to the abuse and one sidedness that goes on on this game.
Don't dare voice your dislike, as otherwise you will get the Howrse kiss-ups on your backside and will become a target.
Shame that a once great game is going down the pan due to the failures running it.

I HATE howrse! I had had ONE account on this for YEARS, and had even started my own breeding farm, and it WAS POPULAR. It took YEARS TO START, and WITHOUT ANY WARRNING they deleted my account! Years of my life waisted because they randomly decided to ban me from their site. I hat hate hate howrse. It is a horrible site and sends random junk mail to you that clogs up your computer. This has happened to me twice (the accound deleting) with in a two year span and I would not hate anyone enogh to subject them to this game. Plus it makes you pay for essential things. WTF?

I have played howrse for almost 10 yrs. Just recently my daughter who turned 10 this year asked if she could join. I told her of course she could. Now my daughter is bright for her age and is used to setting up her own accounts for a lot of her online games and media things like Music. Ly. So she set her account up on her own laptop, created her own account using her own email address. That was in May 2018. Since she spends the summer at her dads house almost 1100 miles away her account was not very active. Though she did pop on from time to time and we sent an occasional message to her. That being said, she was a different inter net provider using the isp from her laptop that I dont use. She does not have my password and I do not know hers and could not have possibly been in two different states almost 1100 miles apart at the same time or within hours of out log ins. She earned the money for passes doing chores but since she is only ten, I used my card to get her passes that she earned. My account has never gained passes from her account, we have traded a few horses here and there but so do the top breeding players on countless levels on a daily basis! But I guess Howrse and Owlient see this as multi accounting and banned my account for 30 days! And my daughters as well. Almost ten years of loyalty and a lot of hard earned money and I was met with an abrasive generic response with no actual proof of multi accounting. What myself and my daughter did is no different than the top teams do between their players selling horses to each other and trading BMI items on a daily basis. The only difference is that my horses and my daughters horses can not even make a dent in the top gp breeding teams therefore no advantage could possibly be made for myself or my daughter.
My advice save your money and your time, to much politics and too many higher ups who don't give a crap for any of the people who play. Howrse is not the same game it used to be. If you are fanatic horse lovers like myself and my daughter, invest in Star Stable accounts! Way more fun and so much nicer and better to play. We have so much fun being able to see each other in game and to race and compete together, train horses together, do the story quest together! A much better venue for quality game time with my daughter!
