They don't care about their player base, all they want is money! They can't even hand out full divines anymore it's all in stupid "shards"! Gotta spend hundreds just to get a divine worth 10! DISGUSTING!
Several people over the past two months have been karma docked or banned for 'scripting' without any proof. None of these players script. When asked for the evidence the admin team gives blanket statements and refuses to provide anything. The admin team is an absolute joke. They will hand out bans based on what their top customers say. Avoid this game at all costs. Play another horse sim game.
Howrse used to be fun. (Anyone remember the classic yellow background, or is that just me?) It used to be completely free to play, had good forums, and honestly was where I used to spend hours with my pixel ponies. Then it started requiring purchases just to progress. Now, who knows? It is not the same site I fell in love with, and hasn't been for quite some time. The systems keep changing and what once was free has now become a way to scam horse lovers. I've tried going back several times, only to be disappointed repeatedly. Honestly, its sad how boring this game has become. Best save your time and frustration and look elsewhere for an animal game that does care about its players, rather than revenue.
I've always loved horses. The Daily objectives help you get passes, and after I checked my pass history, I found out the game gifted me 1,818 passes. I haven't spent any money yet. I do not recommend anyone to buy HOP, Titan's Challenges, or Golden Fleeces. You'll waste all your passes.
You have to pay real money to actually make any kind of progress, not allowed to voice your own opinions, rude people on the forums, takes a long time to age the horses up much, got bored of game fairly quickly, and you have to keep on logging in to keep your account from getting deleted for said "security reasons" which makes literally no sense whatsoever.
I have played this game on and off for years, it is becoming more and more pay to play. The prizes for doing the mini games have got worse, used to get a decent amount of black market items and now you're lucky if you get 1 or 2. I am fed up of not doing as well in the game just because I can't afford to put hundreds of £ into the game. They have become money grabbing degenerates.
Back in 2010 used to be fun
Wasnt so bad until taxes and pass changes were introduced. Now this game is all money money. Shame, cause it had so much potential. Admin and MOD abuse. Stay away from this game.
So I joined this game quite a few years ago, I was quickly addicted & loved it. I still hold this game dear to my heart for introducing me to other horse games. The forums are not super good, not well organized and do not showcase everything they could.
The events are fun, now if you want an event horse you will probably have to spend real money. But I mostly dont care, and I dont think people should care that much either. Just enjoy the game!
I introduced this game to a lot of my family & friends. I introduced it to my cousin, my gramma, my mom.
The art is beautiful, you have a ton of options and breeding is fun! You can age horses whenever you want, as long as you have enough aging points.
Its very fun! There are many items, passes are pretty easy to earn once you get into the groove.
As a base player, there aren't many things you can actually obtain without spending money. Sure they run events frequent enough where you could potentially win some high end black market items, but for the most part it would take someone a little while saving up equus to purchase a black market item off the exchange from other players. They only offer Divine horses through promotions such as the Horn of Plenty, or Golden Fleece. I refuse to give this company a dime just for the chance to get Divine horses. They should be far more readily available for players who cannot afford to throw hundreds of dollars at this game. I no longer play as a result of their greedy tendencies that have gone on for far too long.
This site has turned into a pay to play site, it's no longer fun to play on.
You can't even go inactive due to health issues with having your account, which you've been playing for 11 years and paid over £2,000 for, close due to "inactivity".
I will NEVER recommend this game, not even to my enemies.
It is to worse game ever!
All they want is your money!
A few years ago, the reserved horses were special divines and only cost £5, now they're at least £10 each and not even that great!
They don't listen to the players, all they care about is their "devs corner" which is absolutely useless.
This game, and it's thieving company, should be shut down!
This is really fun, the only reason it's getting bad reviews is because some players are unkind, (in my experience hard to find) and you can't ride the horse. So in Howrse, you can compete with your horse and take care of it, the way you compete is if your horse has enough energy, you select a competition, which it has to have 5 participants, some are researved for a certain breed. This is mainly a breeding game, it breeds the right color andgenetics, you'll fall in love with this game! With tutorials, it gives very clear instructions,
I began before Ubisoft bought the game, and it was great. You could learn about horses, how to care for them, and there was a lot of social interactions. Now, it's just greed and moneygrubbing, and the latest abomination of the "Great Challenge' is ATROCIOUS. I do NOT recommend this game to ANYONE. I'm ashamed to admit I still play, but this latest crap was the last straw for me. Any criticism results in being banned from commenting, because they have to prop up their lies about being a happy community. If you want to see what's wrong with the world, this game is a prime example. The art contributed by the players is magnificent, but I can't be a part of this any more.
I share my computer with my family. We all play on howrse. We all use different emails. They randomly banned my account without warning saying i had "multiple accounts". I petitioned the claim and they responded with (photo below)
"If you were punished it is because your accounts have been identified as multi-accounts.
This identification is done with effective tools: the punishment is thus justified and will not be reversed. Please do not send further inquiries about this.
Thank you for your understanding.
Kind regards,
The Howrse Team"
This is the best game ever i two horses there names are charlie he looks like the shetland pony when you sign in and my next horse is jewel she is a wild one but she is a qtr horse but looks like the thoroughbred horse too so about the game more just absolutely stunnig horses and i cant say that i have ever played a more amazing game
Bad game. It's a pay-to-win game. It's also very hard to get passes, which you use to buy "fancy" things for your horses to make them immortal and better in other ways. The horses are also very expensive. Divine horses are impossible to get without paying money because you have to buy a LOT of passes to buy them in the reserved sales. And most of them aren't even available in the reserved sales so that means you have to spend even more passes to get it by buying things like golden fleece and two more(i forgot the name.) Two of them costs 200 passes and the other one 100. They give you like 10 fragments each time and you have to get to 1000 to get a divine horse. That's right, 1000! There are way better horse breeding games out there like https://horsereality.com. It's a way better game that is NOT pay-to-win and you can actually breed for color. What I mean is there are color genetics so the coat of your foal will not be randomized.
Entire account, meaning all horses, profile info, and data... including what I paid ACTUAL MONEY for... wiped after just 90 days of inactivity. Pardon me for being an adult with real-world responsibilities. Lesson learned... never again.
Howrse used to be the best game to play, but now not so much.
They really only care about your money.
Just this year there have been there outrageous changes that have made countless riots amongst players. And oh God forbid you disagree with a mod or admin and BAM instant ban hammer and/or karma loss.
I give it a year before it closes down
I had my account for 10 years with howrse. Spent tons of money too. I had rare and divine horses, horses I'd spend literally hours on trying to perfect their skills. It's all gone forever. They completely wipe your account with no warning after 6 months of inactivity. 6 months is not that long for an account that has been around for 10. YEARS. I'm an adult now, of course I can't play every day. I'm just really upset about this because they won't restore anything that I've lost, and they DO NOT KEEP RECORDS. I keep better records than them - I have the original email from when I first signed up. But they haven't kept any information on file so I just can't get anything back. How absolutely dumb. What a nice surprise for a loyal customer of 10 years. Never giving them another penny.
My 7 year old brother was playing on another account on my computer. For some reason they're convinced that I have multiple accounts. I messaged customer service but they were really ignorant about it. I'm done with this game now.
Customer service is a joke. You can "rape" another person's account, be a mod and make threats to other players, be a condescending $#*! hat and that's all fine. Speak out against any of the tyrannical nazi like regime and you get your karma docked, your forum rights removed, and possible banishment from the game.
Kiss their asses and they'll do what ever you want. Have enough of a brain to call them out on their bull$#*!... and your an enemy for life. If I didn't have so much invested in the game I'd gladly and happily send them a great big F* U and quit.
Answer: You can't. There is no customer service number, and administrators don't have the authority or access to deal with most issues. All you can do is send an email to Ubisoft and hope you get a response sometime in the next decade.
Answer: Legit company, but their account recovery and other game features are a joke.
Answer: Howrse WAS a fun, easily advancable website that allowed me to collect certain items in the game that I liked.
Howrse has a rating of 1.9 stars from 105 reviews, indicating that most customers are generally dissatisfied with their purchases. Reviewers dissatisfied with Howrse most frequently mention customer service, multiple accounts and real money. Howrse ranks 781st among Gaming sites.
