This company sends spams every couple days. Even after you unsubscribe numerous times. And email them to unsubscribe.
Sending commercial emails like that without the receiver's consent violates regulations in many jurisdictions. Like in my jurisdiction, them sending me spams without my consent violates Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation.
Spammers are scammers. This company chronically spamming, despite it violating regulations, tells you all you need to know about them.
I ordered a coffee table from this website. My credit card was charged and I received an email that my table was on the way. We waited at home the date scheduled for delivery, no table. I contact Houzz the next day via email only to find out my table was never shipped. They actually charged my card and did not even have the table in stock! Many, many emails back and forth, I canceled the table but did not receive the credit. When I did finally receive the credit, it was $40 less than what I was charged. I called my credit card company to dispute the charge. Today, I get an email, my table is on the way! I canceled it more than a week ago. This has been going on since mid September. I don't want to deal with them so I blocked them from my credit card so they can't charge me again. All this hassle... for what?! I'm done for good!
I am constantly looking and always hesitant to pull the "buy" trigger, but I'm so glad I did! I've been looking for a midcentury/modern remodel for my son's bedroom. I couldn't be happier with the style and quality of the furniture I bought. The website made helpful recommendations and the furniture is exactly as described and what I was expecting.
Awful. We signed up for the service in January of 2022 and notified HouzzPro in February 2022 (in writing via email) that we were not happy with the service and did not want to continue service. At that time we were told that we still had to pay for the entirety of 2022. Though we disagreed, we accepted it as it was part of the terms of service. However, we were assured that we would not be renewed in December of 2022. On HouzzPro's side of things, the system was never updated and we were charged for services, that we did not agree to, in January and February of 2023. I reported the error and it was corrected in March of 2023 but Houzz has refused to issue us a refund for the charges that should never have happened. I've reached out to my contact at Houzz to get this resolved and I am now being ignored.

DO NOT sell on HOUZZ if you want to make money. They control the money flow and will actually make you take returns 4 months old. They also make the seller pay for original shipping to a customer that returns the product. I find the people at HOUZZ to be very unprofessional and rude. They do not take responsibility for their terrible site and blame the seller for their short-comings. They also take several weeks to make a product live on the front end of their site. Take my warning if you are thinking about selling on HOUZZ.
My order was delayed a week and they shipped me the wrong item. Will NEVER order from Houzz again. Wayfair is MUCH better. Houzz is by far the WORST online home furniture store EVER.
Negative 100 stars.
Hi Virginia,
We're sorry to hear about this experience. Do you have an order number or support ticket number you are able to share so that we may look into this further and reach out to help?

We had Kettle Valley Woodworks from Kelowna B. C. build us a Murphy bed and were very pleased with the result. Wayne took our request by e-mail and 3 weeks later, Daniel and Micheal came to Chase(2 hours from Kelowna) and installed it in about 1 hour. We are very impressed with the final result and definetly recommend this company. Jerry and Cheryl H.
- Arrived damaged, honest mistake, shipping company probably dinged it.
- Asked for replacement parts because only two parts were damaged during shipping.
- Had to follow up a total of 4-6x before I had any type of decent response from Houzz.
- After receiving a response that they'll send the parts, I was informed it would be two weeks which was unacceptable.
- I had to call three additional times to get them to expedite the shipping.
- The replacement parts arrived and I received 1/2 of the parts I needed even though all of the ticket information included pictures, labels, and exact identifiers for what parts were damaged.
- I guess third times a charm?
DO NOT BE FOOLED! Houzz Pro is a scam! They're happy to take your money for NO return on investment - it's a bogus service, but as soon as you request to end the subscription before the term they drop off the face of the earth! I've not had a single email reply to all my requests to cancel when my term comes to an end, so I ended up contacting my bank to stop all future payments after my last annual payment. If you're in the same position, do the same. Cancel with your bank (Note that it's always a repeat card payment not a Direct Debit or Standing Order and your bank simply need to cancel the payment) and report them to the financial ombudsman too!
I am refurnishing an office, recieved confirmation invoice for purchase price over $4000. I contacted them but did not receive a reply for 1 week. On the website they had multiple items of the ones I requested in stock. Finally received email that there were none in stock and would not be available for 2 months. When you go to the website again, it still says in stock. If you do not have it in stock, do not false advertise!
Houzz.com is a homeowner's paradise! I love the photo gallery, accessibility, and local referrals on this site. I also have extensive ideabooks that I refer to when planning renovation work. We have used two local professionals that I found on the site and we have been VERY happy!:-)
I urge anyone that has had an issue with this company to contact the BBB! This is a company that should not be in business. I made a $4,400.99 purchase only to find out that the items were not even in stock with the seller. They place all types of items on their website (only 2 left) and there were none. After calling them 6x and being told they could not reach the seller, I decided to call myself and had no problem reaching them. Hey Houzz, in case you didnt know. IT IS ILLEGAL to do that! I will never purchase from this company again. Thank god the direct seller is able to cancel the order, and I can move forward with them directly. I might have to wait a little longer, but at least they are up-front with me.
I have ordered from Houzz twice. The first time the order was cancelled because apparently the item I bought wasn't actually in stock. I just ordered again and I'm trying to get ahold of their customer service and the line ends up taking me to voicemail and then hanging up on me. I tried to "Submit a Request" yesterday and haven't heard back. They should be able to answer the phone at least!
We recently attempted to use houzz website to purchase two sets of Barcelona chairs and matching ottomans. The websit failed. We phoned Houzz in Irvine and the gal said she could place our four piece request over the phone. She quoted the price and took our visa info. She placed an order for two chairs with no ottomans. Once the two chairs arriveed sans the ottomans we called and Houzz informed us that it was our problem that the order was incorrectly placed. Further, that we could spend an additional grand to get the ottomans and they would give us a 10% discount which would result in an up charge of 700 dollars to us for not buying as a set. Also Houzz does not allow returns if one doesn't have all of the original packaging. I am a landscape architect w/ offices in California and Az. I will never do business with a shabby operation like Houzz has proven to be. Buyer beware. If publicaly traded, SELL!
I ordered a faucet from Houzz. The faucet what shipped in one of Houzz's boxes which was not suitable for shipping products. The box arrived damaged and missing parts. I contacted Houzz to return the item and their response was very disappointing. They basically said the shipped item wasn't their problem and the manufacture of the item would contact me 2-3 business days. If you are the store front and the shipper of the item, then step and take responsibility for the crappy shipping service you provided. If this is how you going to treat your customer and the companies you represent, sooner or later they are going to go leave you for someone else. Fix your shipping issues and fix your customer service issues.
I bought a rug on Houzz less than 6 months ago and it had normal wear and tear (ie walking on it, go figure!). About a month ago the stitching started to loosen and now it has totally fallen apart. The seller wont take it back or refund or credit me or accommodate me in any way. It was extremely difficult even getting them to respond to me. I had to get Houzz involved who helped me to get a response but didnt do anything once the sellers decision was made to do nothing. Why arent they vetting their sellers better? Why arent they offering any accommodation when their sellers dont? They dont have any leverage? Amazon does a way better job with this business model. Stay away.
Houzz is false advertising. I have decided they are too flakey and utilize bait and switch.
Placed an item in shopping cart and watched the price double immediately.
Still advertising the item at lower price but once in shopping cart, price changed and customer service says, 'o-sorry, we have no control over anything at all with regard to your shopping cart and erroneous promotional pricing'.
That's called BAIT AND SWITCH.
I'm reporting them to the BBB because they charged me twice for something I only ordered once, then called me a liar when I told them their website is glitchy. Now they're charging me for the return of that same order I never ordered. Scammers!
I paid $675 a month only to advertise in 3 select cities and had to have a 2 year contract! All the calls we received were only within the first couple of weeks of signing up and then the last couple of weeks after canceling my contract (oh and they require you to pay for 4 addition months to get out of the contract early). Not only that, but none of the inquiries I received were relavent to our business.
Hi David,
We are sorry to hear this! I was not able to locate your profile with only you first name and last initial. Are you able to reply with your business name, so that we can reach out to help?

Just days outside return policy due to extreme health issues ( disable senior) they would not help AT ALL after the chair they sent arrived broken. The box wasn't damaged so it would appear the packer damaged it. Now I'm out $230.00. DONT SHOP HERE
Thank you for sharing your experience. You can find our return policy here: https://www.houzz.com/return-policy

Answer: Good question Maggie. I don't think there is. I think this site is just there to help their vendor and not assist consumers in making informed decisions. I found had a contractor who had defrauded us and changed his business name on Houzz. I posted a review on his profile notifying the public of what he had done to us, and Houzz did not publish the review. I joined Sitejabber to warn the public about Houzz.
Answer: I began as a Pro on Houzz and spent $2000 on Advertising. This was supposedly for a year of top exposure. No one purchased, the couple of calls I received were people wanting to USE my service for ideas. I have since discontinued complimentary initial appointments. These people are the biggest scammers in the world! I'm still one of the Pros just to see if anything bites but I noticed they go into vendors photos and try to find similar product then they sell their products. Great way to sway your client and to steal customers!
Answer: Go straight to the top at Houzz. Ms. Adi Tatarko, CEO, Alon Cohen, Pres. If tha doesn't work, I suggest you file complaint with the Consumer Affairs Division of the California Attorney General's Office.
Answer: The Pros, at least at the beginning, were not in competition with this company (Houzz). They convinced the "Designer" world that the were strictly collecting ideas for the public and to help improve the vendors chances of being hired. Those reviews on the Pros are about the Pros, they come from their clients. About 2-3 years ago, Houzz began selling out from under all the vendors! They are SO low they have gone into the photos of the pros, look for a product they have that might be similar to something they sell and lead them away from the pro. The 1-2 stars you see here are the reviews for "Houzz" and their service but the reviews under a Pro are for that Pro. Don't be fooled... If you want the job done right, call the Pro! Listen to these reviews of Houzz and you won't get burned. Two different animals completely!
Answer: Steer clear. The advertising doesn't work, and although they originally started up as a company that would work alongside the vendors, they are now selling out from under most of them, especially the interiors decorators! They are SO low they have actually tagged products inside some of the photos of interior designers and tabbed out similar products to stay the customer away from the Pro and to purchase through them directly!
Answer: Do yourself a huge favor and find it somewhere else. Houzz contracts with third party sellers and their freight companies, they're just a middle man. What a nightmare this has been.
The company's reputation is mixed, with notable strengths in product quality and delivery efficiency, as many customers express satisfaction with their purchases and the overall aesthetic appeal of items. However, significant concerns arise regarding customer service, particularly in handling issues related to delivery options, billing disputes, and product defects. Customers frequently report difficulties in reaching support and receiving timely resolutions, leading to frustration. While some patrons appreciate the extensive product selection and smooth purchasing experience, the inconsistency in service responsiveness and problem resolution highlights areas for improvement in their customer service approach.
