SCAM
March 18, 2020

This site duplicates the hotel website so that the customer thinks he or she is dealing directly with the hotel.
I have stayed at the Harbor House in Galveston many times and I thought I was on their website. Once the
Reservation was made, I learned that I had made a reservation with HotelsOne. I tried to get a refund and I was told there are NO REFUNDS! I will contact the State Attorney General and have these people investigated for deceptive trade practices. Run the other way when you see HotelsOne!

I was supposed to get married. The United States put a government mandated travel ban out. Now, I am being told this is non refundable. People are out of work and this company is poaching vulnerable travelers by not refunding their money.

Never use this company. They are con artists.

DON'T DEAL WITH THEM
March 17, 2020

I have been trying to cancel a nonrefundable reservation due to coronavirus and wedding being cancelled. I have been attempting to get in touch via telephone for last two hours and have had my call dropped four times. Also, attempts to contact via mail have been futile.

This company which I believe is a subsidiary of Expedia, started by presenting their search result on Google made them look like they were the actual hotel being searched for, Their site continued this deception by boldly and in large font showing the hotel name. In much smaller text and in a box the HotelsOne name appeared, but it looked much more like an ad than a site identification. They then listed a rate as "Best Available"which was higher than the rate available on the actual hotel website. Finally, they marked up their actual rate by nearly 70%. Likely making more than the hotel in this transaction. Responses from "CustomerCare" were evasive and not helpful. Avoid this company if you see it creeping into your booking.

Fake web showing
December 5, 2019

Thought I was on the Wyndham website and it was these slimes showing to be Wyndahm to make a sale that gave them a hundred and twenty bucks over the actual cost. Kind of like me putting someone else's name on the side of my work van to kick up sales and make money. Should be illegal, maybe it is.

I, as many others, did not pay adequate attention and thought I was on the actual hotel site and not a third party.
I had a sleepless night pondering if my reservation was actually booked, but it turned out it was. I did not save any money using it, and completely restricted my options because the whole amount is paid up front and not refunded. The purpose of my post is to put others at ease who have used it inadvertently, and fear fraud. It is not fraud. However, if you use it you will have no flexibility in changing anything. Well, you can change, but don't expect reimbursement.

Warning... bad news
October 30, 2019

Booked by phone because site was too buggy. Never got confirmation. Called 5 times, cut off twice mid call. Three times I was assured an emailed confirmation would be sent. Finally customer service person hand inputted confirmation and I stayed on the phone until I got it.
After hanging up, I scrolled down and saw that the charges were in US currency despite being quoted in Canadian funds and using my Cdn Visa card. Called back... AGAIN.
I have used hotels.com. Super service. This is where I thought i was going... these tricksters pop in place of your search. There is no reason to use this service, not with hotels, kayak and trivago out there. Better yet call the hotel directly. They pay a commission to these guys, and therefore you can swing a better deal through upgrade or breakfast included if they don't want to undercut the web sites that do a lot of their bookings...

This website sucks!
September 27, 2019

I needed 1 room for 2 nights, one on the 29th of September and one on the 4th of October. I booked my first room with no problem. The problem started when I tried to book my second room. Their computer kept changing my date from 10/4 back to 9/29. After many tries, I thought I had successfully booked but when I got my confirmation the computer had reverted back to 9/29. Now I had 2 rooms on the 29 and none on 10/4. I called and tried to get through to customer service but there is no one to talk to, just a computer. I repeatedly requested to speak with an agent. All I got was a goodbye from the computer. Stay away from this website! They steal your money!

Cracks in the walls. Hallway was disgusting with spackling all over the carpet. Found a sock left from previous patron on the floor of our room. Afraid to stay for free breakfast as to the conditions.

Crooks
August 18, 2019

Confirmed 3 people during booking, room was for two and hotelsone did nothing about it. We had to pay the extra cost, frustrating and ridiculous situation at the start of an otherwise smooth holiday. Cost me more than if I'd booked 2 rooms in same hotel through different website.

Customer service reasonably polite but admitted they misrepresented the rooms, and ultimately not helpful and not willing to support.

First and last time using them.

I booked 2 rooms through HotelsOne for the Gettysburg Hotel on 7/24/2019 at 910am for the following year 7/25/2020 to attend a wedding near by. I realize their policy is NO REFUNDS however I called back within 10 minutes of placing the reservation to cancel ONLY because I wasn't aware that another family member had placed reservations at another hotel closer to the venue. I booked 2 rooms for 2 nights for a total of $649.89. There is no reason why they cannot make an exception for this innocent error. The reservation is for a YEAR out, it's not like they won't be able to book the room. Now I could understand if I had made my reservation for this month or sooner but it is a year from now. Never have I ever heard of any hotel having this kind of policy for a reservation made a year in advance! DO NOT BOOK THRU HotelsOne or with Gettysburg Hotel because Gettysburg Hotel is aware of this policy & agree to these terms.

I was trying to cancel 2 nights and two rooms at a hotel in Guadalajara, Mex in Feb 2020.
Warning U, if you try to change or cancel a reservation, it takes for ever as their system is down most of the time like 80% per day so they send U a generic e-mail saying sorry but our system in down and next day you might get an answer asking you again to send a memo to them to reconfirm your demand or changes and you are lucky if you get a real answer if not AGAIN the generic message our system is down at the moment!? What is this in 2019. So you get caught in a loop; after more than a week of this ridiculous game of Not Being Efficient at all, they finally put their act together to tell me it's cancelled now so lets see as they says it could take few days to get my credit back, crossing my fingers!

Went directly to a Sandman Inn website to book a room within walking distance of the event I was at redirected to these band of imbeciles. Got to the hotel after the event, no reservation at that hotel but one booked several blocks away (same chain) the clerk at the Sandman Inn said he could take care of that. 2 weeks later check my Visa statement I have been charged for two rooms at the hotel I stayed at plus the room that was incorrectly booked through HotelsOne.com. Visa says talk to Sandman, Sandman says to talk to HotelsOne.com, they cant do anything because of their 50 small page cancellation policy, Sandman cant do anything because it was booked through this crap company. No one is responsible no one is accountable, if you try to contact a hotel directly and it goes to a site like this - find a different hotel chain, this one seems like a total scam for the couple dollars I should have saved I paid $300 for nothing so a bad review for every dollar wasted seems to be fair. Horrible experience horrible customer service NO ACCOUNTABILITY this is a SCAM company
Review $1 of $300!

I called to make a reservation at the Alt Hotel at the Halifax airport. I called a direct line to the hotel but somehow my call was re-routed to Hotelsone.com. I had no idea that I was not speaking to a clerk at the hotel. The operator who answered told me that there were no vacancies at the hotel but that she could arrange another hotel near the airport. I later found out that there were, indeed, vacancies at the hotel that I had originally called. I tried to cancel the reservation that she made for me at the holiday inn but I was told by the desk clerk at that Holiday Inn that they could not cancel it and that I would have to go through hotelsone.com to cancel the reservation. When I tried to do that, I could only reach an automated system that informed me that if I cancelled the reservation, I would lose the full amount of the booking. How in the world my call was rerouted from the actual hotel to this company remains a mystery to me. But I would say that this company is pulling some major scam and is involved in some kind of fraud. The people at Alt Hotel told me that they never use third party companies for bookings. I am going to be forced to stay at the Holiday Inn for the sake of avoiding getting charged for a room I didn't use.

I thought I was dealing with the hotel I was trying to book, directly. I made my reservation and shortly afterward realized the dates were not going to work. I cancelled the reservation and was immediately told I would not receive a refund of my 1990. 00.

I asked to reinstate the reservation and they told me no. I would have to make a nw reservation and pay the amount in full again. NO WAY TO RECOVER almost 2000. 00.

Please don't use this company or website. I have lodged complaints everywhere online that I can, including the BBB (which this company is not endorsed by).

Bad business practices. Rude customer service.

Scam & Fraud
May 13, 2019

They showed and misrepresented the class and size of room for the actual room class. When contacted them about issue was unsupportive.

I reserved a room for the Seton Hotel in NYC a full size bed room. The picture on Hotelsone.com was for a king size room. So to my chagrin and surprise when entered the room. I spoke with the Seton Hotel ad the advised me that Hotelsone posted a pic and they would contact them to change it. Additionally, they stated this issue was the fault of Hotels.one and so they were no corrective action on their part.

The customer service team at Hotelsone.com was unapologetic and rude. They stated nothing could be done compensate me for their misleading info.
