There were issues with the hosting that should have been resolved earlier. There seemed to be a disconnect with the team tasked with building and launching my site. I wish I could have launched sooner than it did. Overall the communication back to me when I asked questions was good.

HostGator was a great hosting company. They may still be good for shared hosting and standard (easy) support problems. But when you get into the dedicated server area be ready for Mr. Toads Wild Ride. Support totally sucks, Phone support is ignorant, lies and you have no choice but to wait on hold an hour or so for a supervisor. Now the fun part. The supervisors can not talk to the dedicated admins. All they can do is submit a support ticket and escalate it. Now you have to just wait and hope for the best. The lack of communication is astonishing and the problem is normally you, not the server even though you may have the same problems going on for months. Even after many support tickets all showing the same problems. It's gotten so bad I got a new dedicated server to migrate everything over to so I can scrap the old one. Sill waiting for it to be setup even though it was supposed to be done by now. But at least my other server has been up now without any problems for 4 hours so far. Really hoping to get everything migrated over before it does down again but not holding my breath.
