Never use Hopper! They take money out of your account so quickly, even before you book! No refunds. I wanted to just go further in the appt to see if they'd allow room selection because it said they did. But did not allow. I couldn't select type of room I wanted. They gave me a room with a king bed for 3 people. No way to change! Also said there would be an option at the end to book now and pay later and No there wasn't, had to pay in full! Soooo disappointed. No way to call and talk to someone. Awful company, with no customer service. DO NOT USE!

US Review
We booked a Budget vehicle through Hopper in our home state (USA). It was about $50 less than the same on Priceline.
After a 19-hour journey to our destination, we were told by Budget that the booking was not valid because it was made with a "GB" in the reservation number (should've been a "US" apparently).
We paid $9 to talk to an agent in India, who was as helpful as could be. But, after an exhausting and frustrating 2 hours on the phone, with our hopes raised and dashed numerous times, the answer remained that there was nothing that could be done.
Finally, the Hopper booking was charged for (as by now we were past pickup time) PLUS we had to pay over $1000 more for a regular 4-day Budget booking, because it was last minute.
Over a week later, we're still unravelling the mess.
A golden Hopper promise is worth nothing in reality
We will be sticking to Priceline in future!

I booked my flight,they are delaying my flight twice, and when I cancelled my flight,they give me credit point but when I want to rebook my ticket again with credit point, application is not working and customer service took two days to answer it.even there customer service charges is$56 cad.I have to book my ticket without using previous ticket points. It's totally waste.

I work in the service industry.
For the last 6 months I've been working for the hotel.
Not one single Prepaid reservation from Hopper has been approved.
Irritates the guest and the only thing the hotel can do is match the rate so the guest can pay double and try to get their money back from Hopper for the declined reservation due to no payment.

On Friday my reservation that I had I was supported to get a refund due to the room had roaches LOT'S I arrived at midnight and took a shower and there were roaches all over the bed and just got my stuff and went to the lobby to let the manager know that I was leaving bc there's too many roaches and he told me that the refund will be done to Hopper so they can refund me for the room $114.18. I need a follow up about this matter. So far nothing from Hopper nor Super 8 about my refund its almost a week and I havent heard anything from either. Thanks Hopper

One of the worst company. I had a very bad experience. Let me explain. I booked the hotel through Hopper. When I reached to hotel registration desk. My booking was not there and they asked me to connect to Hopper. I started the chat around 8PM and keep chatting for the next 4 hours. Since it almost midnight, the kids were sleeping in the hotel lobby. After having the 4-hour conversation, they canceled my reservation without letting me know. I had to book the same hotel room much higher price. I will NEVER recommend Hopper again.

There basic support is totally useless.
I just wanted information about date change for my stay. They would not respond to me despite multiple tries for a week. I had to finally give up and pay the $25 to upgrade to VIP support to get an answer.
Remove the basic support option from your website if there is no support.

I prepaid a rental car with this company. My flight got delayed and they told me I could still pickup the rental car that had a pickup time of two O'Clock at anytime before they close. I got to my destination the rental car company and they said that they had a two hour window on the pickup time my light was delayed for six hours I could not get there and hopper would not help me get a rental car or help at all with the situation. I would say that this company is a scam artist. If I was you I would tell everyone I know not to use hopper you will just be out your money at the end of the day.

I have been looking at flights for weeks, yesterday they were $75, went back on today and they were $103 - hopper says buy now, hopper hasn't seen prices this low in 10 months! Not true.price was lower yesterday and has been jumping back and forth for weeks. Not trustworthy.

Don't waste your time buying the VIP support because you're given zero support. I purchased a roundtrip flight on this website for the first time with all the bells and whistles, my flight was cancelled and I tried for 4+ hours to reach supposed to get on another flight per the protection I bought. When the finally responded was to tell me they were forwarding my request to the protection plan department and that someone would be with me shortly. Suffice to say I don't think these people even know what shortly means. I asked how long is shortly and never got a response to that question.
I would recommend not using this website because it's all smoke and mirrors and you certainly get no support, in retrospect I saved nothing and overall I probably saved a $100 on the initial booking or so I thought. I've used other sites before but this one is the worst.

I used this raggedy app for the first time. I must have chosen no refund and chose a roach motel! The fact that they would offer that to me is unfathomable and then not be able to assist is beyond me!

I reach out to them about 1 month in advanced but still getting the same answer saying " we are doing our best to solve this waiting for the airline response" I called the airline ask them if I could do a name change they said it can only change by the agent you bought the ticket and now hopper said the airline denied. My grandma just passed away recently and they couldn't even do the smallest kindness to the customer. Really bad app no sympathy for the customer.

I booked a flight for June 15th - June 20th. I had to change the departure date to June 17th while the return date stayed the same. First, Hopper told me to contact the airline to make changes. Then the airline told me to contact Hopper for the changes. First red flag. I emailed Hopper support and an agent confirmed my new departure date of June 17th and said my return flight was the same. I go to check in for my return flight, and it doesn't let me. The airline agent said I didn't have a ticket and needed to contact the travel agency that booked my flight. To contact Hopper directly on the phone, I had to pay another $25. They said that when they reissued my departure flight, they didn't do it for my return. I asked Hopper to clarify who made the mistake: the airline or Hopper? The Hopper employee confirmed that it was Hopper's mistake. I waited for 3 hours at the airport for Hopper to get back to me / get me on another flight. They couldn't get me on another flight. I was stuck in NYC with nowhere to go and Hopper didn't offer any help at all. I literally Googled "flights to ORD" and I find one from LGA right away. So, I had to take a cab from JFK to LGA. I'm able to get home after spending an additional $280 on a new flight & cab ride with NO help from Hopper. I asked for a refund of my money from Hopper since I had paid them for a round trip ticket that they failed to actually provide me, and then I had to incur all of these additional expenses for a new flight and cab AFTER their mistake. They literally REFUSED to give me any of my money back. Instead, they literally offered my money back as a VOUCHER on their app that was only valid for 180 days. I'm not joking. It took a week of back and forth (over email because it's impossible to actually call and talk to someone) and me threatening legal action / quoting business laws to get them to issue me an actual refund. And then, they're saying they can't actually refund my card - they have to do it through PayPal. I'm still waiting for my refund. Do NOT book from them. Even if they're the ones who make a mistake and ruin your trip, you'll be left alone to fix it yourself and they'll keep your money.

2019 excited to travel the world, thought I found something amazing with an app that was super easy.
2020 February
It all started, the pandemic. Me realizing this company doesn't have a customer service and the message helper would tell me stuff like wait for 7 business days to only have it never load so that I lost all value of my flights because it TOOK 2 months for the request to never process. I then reached out to my credit card company trying to explain the app was a scam to only have them tell me it wasn't.
Skyscanner or my favorite Expedia is the way to go people.

On June 9,2023 I was researching flights to Washington DC on the Hopper App. In order to see the prices and discounts you have to enter your credit card information. I was not ready to purchase anything. I was researching. While completing my research I accidentally clicked on the wrong button and ended up purchasing tickets. I immediately contacted Spirit Airlines and Hopper to ask for a refund. I explained the situation and Hopper told me that they would not be able to refund my money but give me a Hopper credit which is only good for one year after that I lose my money. I have been going back and forth with them about this and they keep telling me they are investigating and trying to work it out but until this day they still have not done anything. They have very unclear policies and procedures and are very misleading. They only communicate through emails and refuse to talk on the phone. I was only researching the flights because I have an 81 year old mother and was looking for the best accommodations for her. I have explained this to them several times. It is unfair that their policies are not clear and they do not return customers' money. As I look at their reviews there are several customers that this has happened to and they are upset as well. I WILL NOT pay for these unfair charges to my credit card and if necessary I will sue them and report them to the BBB for unfair practices and keeping people's money.

Answer: File a claim with your bank. They charged me An additional 2 nights after hopper said they would refund my money. Instead they went without my consent n charged me an additional 2 nights. I was robbed for a total of 3 nights. Without being able to contact any support. A total Scam!
Answer: No they are about polar opposite of trustworthy. Run don't walk away from this company. My lesson cost $1435 dollars. If you require customer service look elsewhere they have none. Not even a phone number which is the first red flag.
