I chose white cabinets which have to be assembled. The cabinets are a good construction and went together easily. Then, the nightmare started. The cabinet boxes are birch on all sides so after assembling, you have to pay for and screw on 5/8" thick
Panels to match the white doors. Then, you must attach white adhesive edging on all the front surfaces of the boxes. Edging is terrible and falls off after an hour. No help!

Bad site
April 30, 2018

I have shopped Home Decorators over many years, recommended the site to friends. I just went on the site to shop for some new items. The new site is hard to navigate, doesn't load in a timely manner, and the selection of merchandise leaves much to be desired. Not shopping here anymore.

Shady and rude people. After you purchase your items on their website, they send you an email later that its not available. When you buy on amazon from them, they ship you 6 instead of 8, and when called, they say that its discontinued and i should make do with 6. Getting a refund for missing items is a nightmare. They keep telling me to ship items back and then reorder from them. Yeah, right. They are selling stuff that they do not have and they have no intentions of shipping it.Its a robbery, stay away from them and let everyone know

Horrible quality
October 27, 2016

I ordered a blue leather sofa from Home Decorators in July 2012. About 2 years later I noticed the blue wore off in one spot. Thought maybe one of the family scarred accidentally. Within the last year the blue is wearing off everywhere. I do not have animals or small children. It is a total mess and I paid $1000 for it. After contacting Home Decorators.com they told me they would send me a certificate for $50.00! I wouldn't spend another penny with their company. The quality is the worst!

Home Depot is the WORST!
September 2, 2017

I live in a rural area, several hours from a Home Depot. I ordered 2 Home Decorators bookcases to be shipped to a store which is 2 hours away. A large uncontained forest fire has broken out between us so I phoned HomeDepot to try and redirect to a store I can get to. Was on hold for 25 minutes then my call was dropped. Phoned back and was told that all I could do was cancel the original order, but only AFTER it shipped. The bookcases are still in the warehouse but they can't change the destination. I was then told that I had to call back again on Tuesday to see if the cancellation went through. Home Decorators, you are now in league with morons. Too bad, half my furnishings have come from your catalogue. I am done with Home Depot!

Bad move Home Depot. I've been ordering from homedecorators.com for many years and am perplexed as to why the on-line store was discontinued. They had excellent quality and selection. HomeDepot is a home improvement store not a home decorating store. The HD inventory doesn't come close to what homedecorators.com always had. A huge loss to the customers!

I would give them a ZERO if I could. Their return policy for a furniture store is terrible. You have to pay for return shipping. So when you're returning an item that ways almost 100 pounds you'll have to pay over $100 just to return the piece to them. Ridiculous! I will never order from them again.

I hired Amy Jameson from Jameson Interiors to remodel my home. She had really good references so I thought I was going to be very happy. She was outlandish in her quotes for jobs to be done and sent me a bill for minimal work that was $6k! Wow! Some of the items were double billed. Very disappointed. K

I have shopped at Home Decorators for years. I could always find "that" right piece I was looking for. The new site is HORRIBLE to navigate. The inventory seems to have changed from great eclectic pieces to "blah." I get that Home Depot is trying to create a connection, but this ain't working. Want the old site back!

I ordered all new semi-custom cabinetry about a year ago for my kitchen, but I ordered the top cabinets only. I had no problems and was satisfied with the quality. Recently, I finally ordered all my bottom cabinets and they shipped over a week later than promised. I dont know if they were shipped damaged or it happened during shipping (thin cardboard protection only). The cabinets were coming apart by the time I received them. I notified the company and they manufactured and sent replacements. Same thing. The back is coming off the cabinet. Their workmanship has declined horribly. I am keeping the damaged cabinet this time because I just want to be done with this mess. I would NOT recommend buying anything from this company.

Stay away
October 3, 2015

Ordered two rugs. Shipping was very slow for both. Weeks. One I kept but the other didn't look like the photo in the catalog so I needed to return it. Had to pay return shipping which was 1/4 the price of the rug. Two weeks later I checked to see if it had been credited to my Home depot account. It hadn't so I called, gave them the tracking number and said it had been received over a week prior. They said that when I mailed it I should have given them the tracking number because otherwise they don't know when the manufacturer received it. There is no communication between them and the manufacturer for returns?! Unbelievable. Since I called they said they'd issue a credit and it would show on my account in 5 to 7 days. A week later, still no credit. They sent me a voucher for a credit on a future purchase but I'll never buy here again. If Home Depot has them as affiliates on their website customers should be able to return at the store and be credited immediately.

If you are not a part of Home Depot, I will have to find someplace else to shop! I have recently moved and was counting on Home Decorators where I could find your interesting products at a fair price. No more! The new web site was impossible to use and the products are not the same! Disappointed!

Not sure to laugh or cry. Update from previous review. Just received email to let me know new ship date is July 28th! This is just for a bench cushion mind you. Yep. I will be canceling this order and back to my search for the cushions before summer is over.

Worst change ever
July 20, 2017

I have a masters degree in interior architecture- which is to say I should be able to navigate my way around... My firm designs boutique hotels, restaurants and luxury residential properties... Home Decorators was always a great place to find a last minute random whatnot. The site was easy to use and almost always had up-to-date information on products... the merged site with Home Depot (the parent company) is a total disaster! We cannot fine ANYTHING on this new site and are just not willing to WASTE our time with this piece of crap! PLEASE Home Depot, spin the site back off and help a designer out!

So it's true...

I am now a "former customer". I was wondering where Home Decorators went and now I can see it's gone. Bad decision Home Depot... add to that your self checkouts in your stores... another bad decision to which makes me avoid Home Depot. No machine will ever replace a properly trained customer service representative at your checkstand.

BUYER BEWARE! AWFUL
January 6, 2017

I purchased a cabinet in which I have yet to receive from this company. First they shipped it to the wrong address. I called them right away and told them to have it picked up and send to the correct address. I also requested they refund me the money I spent for shipping. Although the lady on the phone said they will have the item picked up and sent to the correct address, I still have yet to receive it. Nor do I have the money for shipping put back into my account. This is the second time I tried ordering from them and have dealt with a severe headache. If I do not have the pricey item I purchased by Monday them I will even need to get an attorney involved to get my money returned.

Bad move

I bought an entry table from Home Decorators (before Home Depot bought them) - back in 2006. Went to buy another one and can't find it on Home Depot. I a shame when a big store buys out a smaller one and ruins it in the process.

Fraudulent Website

Fraudulent Website - Homedecorators guarantees 100% customer satisfaction or your money refunded. I ordered a dining nook and was dissatisfied with it, it was very unconfortable to sit on. So I returned it within the 45 days for a guaranteed refund. Homedecorators has informed me that the furniture was returned damaged, but they are having a problem telling me what was damaged, because obviously there wasn't any damage, Homedecorators doesn't want to refund my money! Please warn the public about this fraudulent website.

Home Decorators Collection and now I need custom outdoor furniture cushions,
But the Home Depot site is horrible! I am so disappointed. I will have to move on
To another Furniture and decorating website now.

No items ever arrived

I have ordered twice from this company and I never received either item. First was a rug they said was back ordered. For 3 months. I eventually cancelled the order when I got tired of waiting. Gave them the benefit of the doubt, decided to try another order because they claimed to have the chair cushions I wanted in stock. Waited 2 months, made several frustrating phone calls, then eventually got an email saying that they had cancelled the order because they were not sure they had the item. I called to ask the, to reinstate the order because I wanted to see if they would ever actually produce any merchandise, and they said they could not reinstate but I could re-order the chair cushions. Wtf? I can place a new order for this item you don't have? Save yourself the jump in blood pressure and do not order from this company, their practices are fraudulent and nefarious.
