The company has established a reputation for providing a user-friendly online auction platform, with many customers appreciating the ease of bidding and tracking items. Positive feedback highlights the quality of products and efficient transaction processes. However, significant concerns arise regarding website performance, excessive shipping charges, and insufficient customer support, particularly in resolving issues related to missing items and unclear invoicing. Overall, while the platform is favored for its convenience and product variety, improvements in customer service responsiveness and transparency in seller charges are necessary to enhance the overall customer experience.

The program worked well for me. This was my first usage of this program.
Bidding is quick and easy! I enjoy listening and being part of the live auctions!
Very easy to bid on the auction site. Enjoyed the count down at the end of auction. Contacted Mike and he was very helpful and answered my questions. Looking forward to another auction.
I would suggest in order to get better prices for the items shown, auctioneer should take pictures with the measurements of that item or the size.
If not, at least put it in the description of item.
I would have bid on more items if I knew the dimensions of it or the size of clothes, jackets, shoes.
We have no way of knowing from the pictures.
Think about it!
HiBid's easy to use format makes participating in online auctions both fun and easy. Once you have registered and have a payment source on file, biding on items whether a week in advance or in the last minute is a simplistic process. You can browse nearby auctions or consider taking a leisurely drive to retrieve won lots, as they give the option of searching by both zip code and mileage. HiBid is actually easier than using Ebay and PayPal, as you only have to log into one program to participate. Notifications about you item's status are promptly sent when outbid and contacting the seller with questions is an added option I've had success with previously. Summaries of your purchase and pick-up location are promptly sent upon closure of the auction.
I love the hi bid auctions easy to see what's available in my area. Reminders, easy bidding
Good descriptions
Easy to use and gives confidence to use again. I like the fact that I can trust this system to place bids fairly.
User friendly and easy to navigate. Bids are easy to access.
Auction companies can share reviews of the buyer with other auction companies throughout the Hibid platform. Therefore other auction companies can ban a buyer they choose without response/explanation from the buyer. The buyer, however, has no recourse with a bad auction company and can't leave reviews on Hibid. If you complain to the auction company, they ban you and leave a bad review even though it was their fault.
A+ transaction! Will buy from again and recommend to others. Thank you.
Just don't care for the soft close put a hard close on your auctions.
Most lots i was able to bid fine. There were a couple lots that i was not able to raise my bid on and the lot closed and i was unable to raise my bid, so i missed out on those lots. I clicked to raise my bid but the system did not respond. Also i don't like that some lots close below the screen i'm bidding on and i miss increasing my bids on those lots as well.
We apologize for the delayed response, Jeremy, and appreciate your feedback. We understand how frustrating it can be when you’re unable to place a bid or miss out on items. Sometimes bids can go into a pending status, and in those cases, you may need to contact the seller to get them approved. Additionally, we understand that the layout of the bidding page can sometimes be challenging. If you continue to experience these issues or need assistance, please contact our support team at 844-775-4774. We appreciate your input and are committed to improving the bidding experience.
This online auction was not the best experience.
At the end, it was very confusing if I had the high bid or not. Which made it equally confusing to know if I had one or not.
The communication between the auctioneer and the bidders Could have been better in my opinion.
I called the auctioneer and he was helpful.
We apologize for the delayed response, Debra, and appreciate your feedback. We understand how confusing it can be to track your bid status, especially when the communication from the auctioneer is unclear. We’re glad to hear the auctioneer was helpful when you reached out. If you continue to experience issues or need further assistance, please contact our support team at 844-775-4774. We value your input and will continue working to improve the bidding experience for all users.
Encore auctions are scammers. They list items with lead descriptions that do not state truthful information.
A few hours before closing they change the description and you are stuck with buying something that was not advertised. They will change the description to missing parts and then after bidding closes and you are stuck with a broken useless item they then change the lead description to FINAL Sale I was stuck buying a recliner chair that had started out as a recliner and by the end of closing I was stuck with a parts missing final sale piece of crap
BEWARE of buying anything from this place
We apologize for the delayed response, Joanne, and are sorry to hear about your experience with Encore Auctions. Auctioneers are responsible for their listings and descriptions, and we understand how frustrating it can be when descriptions are changed after bidding has started. We recommend reaching out directly to the auctioneer to address this issue. If you need assistance contacting them or navigating the site, please feel free to reach out to our support team at 844-775-4774. We appreciate your feedback and take concerns like this seriously.
When an item goes to LIVE BID, it brings up ALL of the items in live bid. I finally get to the one I am bidding on and an ad comes up instead of my item. I try again and the screen just circles. I missed out on bidding in an item I really really really wanted because by the time I got to it, the bidding was closed.
We apologize for the delayed response, Joanne, and we’re sorry to hear about your experience. It sounds like there may have been an internet or connectivity issue that caused delays and prevented you from placing a bid. If you continue to experience these types of problems, please reach out to our support team at 844-775-4774, and we can assist with troubleshooting. We appreciate your feedback and hope your future bidding experiences go more smoothly.
No hassle experience every time I use it. The auctions are easy to follow, and the pictures offer a unique way of really analyzing the coins.
I had a wonderful experience and knowledge of how auction take online
I suspect a LOT of shill bidding…my own suspicion, based on my own experiences. Not cool.
Website doesn't allow me to make address changes because the email on it, that I've used for years, isn't "valid". It is.
My watch list recently disappeared. After years of using, it's gone.? And there's been no reply from CS to help. It's frustrating, to say the least.
We apologize for the delayed response, L E., and understand your frustration. We take concerns about shill bidding very seriously, and we encourage you to report any suspicious activity directly to the auctioneer. Regarding your issues with address changes and the missing watchlist, we recommend reaching out to our support team at 844-775-4774 for assistance with both. If you haven’t received a response from customer service, we’ll do our best to help resolve these issues. We appreciate your feedback and are committed to improving your experience.
Answer: Licensed auctioneer here- auction law is that if you give notice that you need to retract your bid before the hammer falls (or the auction ends online) that the auctioneer is required to retract the bid. Actual law also dictates that bidding must start over at opening bid, not the next highest bid.
Answer: Very easy. If you dont get someone immediately they do call back. But once again if you have a problem with items contact the auction house not hibid. Hibid doesn't auction they only provide the platform
Answer: Most auctioneer there are scammers, a thrift store would be better option.
Answer: YES! Confirmed by an auctioneer I know. Hibid auctioneers can see your "maximum bid" and in most states it's legal to "shill" an auction or to bid against the public bidders - to "ensure reasonable sale prices" per national auctioneers associations. Also, anyone can set up an identity and bid against you. Although that may get interesting when they have to pay a commission to "buy" their own item!
Answer: "Mechanically challenged" is often a term auctioneers use to indicate that an item might not be functioning properly. It usually means that the piece needs repairs, doesn't operate as intended, or may have some technical issues. It's best to reach out to the seller for a clearer explanation to avoid any surprises. By confirming the exact condition directly with them, you'll have a better understanding of what you're bidding on.
Answer: Yes, if you suspect any fraud, please contact HiBid directly at 844-775-4774. Our team is here to assist you and ensure a safe and secure experience.
Answer: Some auctioneers require credit card verification as part of the bidder registration process. This process involves a temporary authorization charge of $1.00 to ensure the card is valid. In some cases, additional processing fees or taxes might cause the amount to appear slightly higher, such as $1.46. Please rest assured that this is not an actual charge but rather a temporary hold that will be released by your card issuer. Typically, these holds clear within 5-7 business days, depending on your financial institution. If the charge doesn't disappear after this time, we recommend contacting your credit card provider for further assistance.
Answer: Thank you for reaching out regarding your bidder rating and the reasons behind it. Bidder ratings on HiBid are determined by various factors, such as your bidding activity and whether you've been permanently approved or declined by auction companies in the past. Unfortunately, HiBid support and bidders themselves cannot view or access these ratings or the specific reasons behind them, as this information is exclusively available to auctioneers. The best way to gain insight is to contact an auctioneer you have a good relationship with or one whose auctions you'd like to participate in. They may be able to provide some clarity or work with you to address any concerns.
Answer: Thank you for reaching out! We understand how it can be confusing when an item is removed before an auction ends, but please rest assured it's not a scam. Sometimes auctioneers encounter unforeseen issues and may need to cancel or relist items. Keep in mind that auctioneers often work with consignors to ensure items are sold fairly, which can involve reserve prices or other considerations that may or may not be visible on specific listings. We recommend reaching out to the auctioneer directly for more details. If you have any difficulty reaching them, we're here to help facilitate communication.
Answer: Yes, HiBid regularly features a wide selection of motorcycles available for auction.
We apologize for the delayed response, Richard, and appreciate your feedback. We understand that the soft close feature isn’t ideal for everyone. The goal of the soft close is to extend the bidding time by a few minutes if a new bid is placed in the final moments, allowing all bidders a fair chance to participate. Auctioneers set their own rules, but if you prefer a hard close, we recommend reaching out to the auctioneer directly to inquire about their bidding policies. If you need help contacting them or have any other questions, feel free to contact our support team at 844-775-4774. Thank you for your input!
