The company has established a reputation for providing a user-friendly online auction platform, with many customers appreciating the ease of bidding and tracking items. Positive feedback highlights the quality of products and efficient transaction processes. However, significant concerns arise regarding website performance, excessive shipping charges, and insufficient customer support, particularly in resolving issues related to missing items and unclear invoicing. Overall, while the platform is favored for its convenience and product variety, improvements in customer service responsiveness and transparency in seller charges are necessary to enhance the overall customer experience.

My brother in law went to pickup my winnings. I won a motorcycle lift but they gave him a lawnmower lift. The lawnmower lift sold for much more so I guess I came out ahead on the deal but the auction house is not very organized.
No hazzles, set your max bid and let the system bid for you. If at the end you want to top your bid it is still posdible with the soft close bidfing
Very nice experience. Marchandise was as in super condition. Pictures matches reality. Cant wait to win ( or buy) again!
They were closing many lot numbers at same time. If you were bidding on several lots, it was hard to keep up. Need to close one item at a time before going to next item.
Hi Donna,
Thank you for your feedback. It's essential to be mindful when bidding, as our platform is set up to ensure all bidders have ample time to bid on all lots. If you encountered a specific issue with an auctioneer or auction lot item, please let us know. We're here to help resolve any issues you may have experienced.
Best regards,
The HiBid Team
Can't find auction lots I have won from the past. There is no archive of won auction lots just a list of auction lots I have bid on. Would be nice to see a list of all the won lots. (similar to what E-bay has)
We apologize for the delayed response, Christopher, and appreciate your feedback. HiBid does offer a way to view past bids, including won lots. If you click on your name in the top left corner of the site, then go to Past Bids, you should be able to see a list of all your previous auction activity. We hope this helps! If you need further assistance, please reach out to our support team at 844-775-4774. Thank you for your input!
Late at night, I stayed up to bid on a few wrist watches. As I normally do, I registered 5 min prior to my watched items ending. I registered, received an email that I was registered, then placed a bid on the first watch. It went pending. Within a few minutes, my winning bid was rejected. I contacted the auctioneer and he stated "you didn't bother to register in time". Minutes later I bid and won two other watches. The auctioneer didn't respond to my next message and hasn't yet sent an invoice because "HiBid had problems and he needs to confirm things…" I won the watches at very good prices. I wish to purchase them.
We apologize for the delayed response, Collin, and understand your frustration. Sometimes bids can go into a pending status, and in these cases, the auctioneer needs to approve them before they are finalized. If you haven’t received your invoice yet, we recommend reaching out directly to the auctioneer for confirmation. If you're having trouble contacting them or need further assistance, please feel free to reach out to our support team at 844-775-4774, and we’ll help facilitate communication. We appreciate your feedback and hope to resolve this issue for you as soon as possible.
An online auction is so convenient instead of traveling to an auction. The website is easy to use which is great for older people.
I expected a fairly prompt notice of my winning bids, along with a paid invoice and instructions for arranging shipping. Auction ended on Thursday and it is now Saturday. No emails. No texts. No phone calls. Crickets. Guess I will have to complain to Customer Service and hope for the best.
We apologize for the delayed response, Pennie, and understand your frustration. Auctioneers are responsible for sending invoices and shipping information, and it’s unfortunate that you haven’t received those yet. We recommend reaching out directly to the auctioneer for clarification on your payment and shipping details. If you're still not getting a response or need assistance, please contact our support team at 844-775-4774, and we’ll help facilitate communication. We appreciate your feedback and hope your issue is resolved promptly.
I like having access to auctions across the nation. Unfortunately, bidders are secretly rated by auction houses. If negative remarks are made about you other auction houses will not allow you to bid on their items. There is also a scoring system which is negatively impacted every time an auction house declines you.
Central Florida Auction was able to place negative reviews against me. I never placed a successful bid with these people. Now other auction houses believe I am a non-paying bidder. This is not true.
I contacted HiBid and was told a) reach out to the auction house and b) get new account because my score was too low.
As a bidder I was unaware of this secret review and score. Bidders should be able to see what auction houses are saying about them. Bidders should also be able to rate the auction houses.
We apologize for the delayed response, Jamie, and appreciate your feedback. We understand how frustrating it can be to feel unfairly rated or to have your ability to bid impacted by reviews you were unaware of. HiBid does allow auctioneers to review bidders, but we agree that transparency and communication are important. We recommend reaching out to the auctioneer directly to address any concerns regarding your rating. If you need assistance or have further questions, please contact our support team at 844-775-4774, and we’ll help facilitate communication. We appreciate your input and are committed to improving the bidding experience for all users.
In the past I been overall satisfied with Hibid, I recently got new phone and number so I set up a new account and downloaded the app, I never used the app before. And honestly I not impressed really with it. I most of the time don't use it and go via website
The app glitches out and shuts down, especially when scrolling, the time is way off from the watch list to actual life time, that sucks especially when you are bidding on a few items at once and they are close together and getting bid up. Both these issues cost me some of tens I really wanted
Them you have the fact the app is missing so many features I use. Looking for an auction is next to impossible, as the map won't leg me narrow down Then looking for a product is a chore. If you want to look at an item you viewed and didn't put in watch list You have to scroll entitle page. On the web you' can skip via going to page xxx Then if you saved the item in watch. You can't go see items around it. Often items are sectioned together. So you have to scroll sometime forever to find it Via app. Web you can skip ahead in catalog at least but both need a look at next item on the watch item list Also search auctions by zip code needed for the app. Or by city.
Hi bid really needs to clampdown on those with outrageous postage fees. Lots of chatter online about this. I am surprised that auctions are still doing it., the the fact that a lot of auctions are unaware how to charge the correct sales tax. Or even know if they are a state that charge via destination or shipped from.
Well that's my thoughts. Cheers
We apologize for the delayed response, Matthew, and appreciate your detailed feedback. We understand the frustration you’ve encountered with the app’s glitches, time discrepancies, and missing features. As an alternative, we recommend using the web browser on your mobile device instead of the app, as it tends to offer a smoother experience. Regarding postage fees and sales tax, we recommend reaching out to the auctioneer directly to discuss any concerns. Your suggestions for improving HiBid’s overall functionality are valuable, and we’ll pass them along to our team. If you continue to have issues or need assistance, please contact our support team at 844-775-4774. Thank you for your input, and we’re committed to improving the experience for all users.
Went as it should if another is close to me I will bid again
We apologize for the delayed response, Gary, and appreciate your feedback. We understand how challenging it can be to navigate the auction when items start closing. The auction layout can sometimes be a bit overwhelming, especially as time runs out on multiple items. If you have any further concerns or need assistance, please contact our support team at 844-775-4774. Thank you for your input, and we’re committed to improving your experience.
First time with this company. The setup of items was easy to view, and the process of bidding was simple as well. Definitely look forward to future auctions.
I've bought many things through hibid and the process of registering and bidding is simple and easy.
We usually participate frequently with Mishler's Auction Services. We have always been satisfied and even held an auction with them….
I guess I was too late to bid on more than one item. When I tried to bid on anything else it kept saying that it was ending soon and I couldn't make another offer.
We apologize for the delayed response, Alaina, and understand your frustration. It sounds like the auction was nearing its closing time, which may have prevented you from placing additional bids. Sometimes, simply refreshing the page before bidding can resolve this issue. If you continue to experience problems, please contact our support team at 844-775-4774, and we’ll assist you further. Thank you for your feedback, and we hope your next experience is smoother!
Answer: Licensed auctioneer here- auction law is that if you give notice that you need to retract your bid before the hammer falls (or the auction ends online) that the auctioneer is required to retract the bid. Actual law also dictates that bidding must start over at opening bid, not the next highest bid.
Answer: Very easy. If you dont get someone immediately they do call back. But once again if you have a problem with items contact the auction house not hibid. Hibid doesn't auction they only provide the platform
Answer: Most auctioneer there are scammers, a thrift store would be better option.
Answer: YES! Confirmed by an auctioneer I know. Hibid auctioneers can see your "maximum bid" and in most states it's legal to "shill" an auction or to bid against the public bidders - to "ensure reasonable sale prices" per national auctioneers associations. Also, anyone can set up an identity and bid against you. Although that may get interesting when they have to pay a commission to "buy" their own item!
Answer: "Mechanically challenged" is often a term auctioneers use to indicate that an item might not be functioning properly. It usually means that the piece needs repairs, doesn't operate as intended, or may have some technical issues. It's best to reach out to the seller for a clearer explanation to avoid any surprises. By confirming the exact condition directly with them, you'll have a better understanding of what you're bidding on.
Answer: Yes, if you suspect any fraud, please contact HiBid directly at 844-775-4774. Our team is here to assist you and ensure a safe and secure experience.
Answer: Some auctioneers require credit card verification as part of the bidder registration process. This process involves a temporary authorization charge of $1.00 to ensure the card is valid. In some cases, additional processing fees or taxes might cause the amount to appear slightly higher, such as $1.46. Please rest assured that this is not an actual charge but rather a temporary hold that will be released by your card issuer. Typically, these holds clear within 5-7 business days, depending on your financial institution. If the charge doesn't disappear after this time, we recommend contacting your credit card provider for further assistance.
Answer: Thank you for reaching out regarding your bidder rating and the reasons behind it. Bidder ratings on HiBid are determined by various factors, such as your bidding activity and whether you've been permanently approved or declined by auction companies in the past. Unfortunately, HiBid support and bidders themselves cannot view or access these ratings or the specific reasons behind them, as this information is exclusively available to auctioneers. The best way to gain insight is to contact an auctioneer you have a good relationship with or one whose auctions you'd like to participate in. They may be able to provide some clarity or work with you to address any concerns.
Answer: Thank you for reaching out! We understand how it can be confusing when an item is removed before an auction ends, but please rest assured it's not a scam. Sometimes auctioneers encounter unforeseen issues and may need to cancel or relist items. Keep in mind that auctioneers often work with consignors to ensure items are sold fairly, which can involve reserve prices or other considerations that may or may not be visible on specific listings. We recommend reaching out to the auctioneer directly for more details. If you have any difficulty reaching them, we're here to help facilitate communication.
Answer: Yes, HiBid regularly features a wide selection of motorcycles available for auction.
We apologize for the delayed response, Ed, and appreciate your feedback. We're glad to hear you ended up with a better item, but we understand how frustrating it must have been to receive the wrong product initially. Auction houses are responsible for ensuring accuracy in pickups, and we encourage you to reach out to them directly to address any concerns. If you ever need assistance or help reaching the auctioneer, please contact our support team at 844-775-4774. We appreciate your positive review and are here to help!
