It was easy and good no problems and as long as your connection is good you can always bid.
All auctions have clear instructions and up front cost expectations. Place a bid and let it ride.
Thank you for the great review, Kerry! We’re glad to hear you’ve had a good experience with the auctioneers and appreciate the clear instructions and transparent costs. It’s wonderful to know you’re finding great deals and enjoying the process. Happy bidding!
Great purchases and the auction company was top notch! They were organized and easy to work with.
Thank you for the 5-star review, Sonya! We’re thrilled to hear you had great purchases and found the auction company to be top-notch. It’s wonderful to know they were organized and easy to work with. Your support means a lot to us—happy bidding!
I know that HiBid has no control over the quality of the photos that Sellers post but perhaps you could show them good-excellent-poor photos and provide tips on how to take good photos. I am seeing more and more poor quality photos or those with wrong orientation
Thank you for the 5-star review and for your thoughtful feedback! You’re right—photo quality is determined by the sellers, but your suggestion to provide sellers with tips and examples for better photos is a great idea. We’ll share this with our team to help improve the overall experience. Thanks for being a part of the HiBid community! 😊

Go back to the app. User friendly and quick. Without the app it's annoying
Hi Yolanda, thank you for your feedback! We’re sorry to hear that you’re not having the best experience on mobile. Right now, the mobile browser works better than the app, but we understand your preference for the app’s user-friendliness and speed. We’re continuing to improve the overall experience, and we appreciate your patience. If you have any questions or need assistance, feel free to reach out!
Easy to use but there were a couple of glitches/errors when I was bidding. Just not sure how much I will be able to use it due to the high costs of premiums, fees and shipping. It adds to much to the items.
Thank you for your feedback! We’re glad you found the platform easy to use, but we’re sorry to hear about the glitches and your concerns about costs. Your input is valuable, and we’ll work on improving the experience. If you need assistance or have questions, feel free to reach out to our support team at 844-775-4774.
HiBid would be a much better auction site, if not for two things that keep me from bidding much more with them. Hope these can be corrected, or at least explained better:
1) Any time I "watch" an item, I receive no heads-up or alerts through my email that the item is closing soon when it's near the end if the auction. The only option they seem to have is email promotions for upcoming auctions in certain states, or by certain companies. Might just be missing something, but if there's not a way to alert a bidder when a lot is closing, then that really needs to be added on there.
2) Seems to be that sellers can see a person's Max Bid when they make one. Is there info out there where HiBid can verify if a bidders maximum bid can be seen by the seller? If HiBid is avoiding answering this question publicly, then that's a HUGE problem when it comes to bidders not knowing that they can potentially get shill bid by occasional unscrupulous sellers who use your software. This is the main reason I don't like bidding with HiBid, and many people could potentially lose a good amount of money if your product falls into the "wrong hands" seller-wise. A simple, honest answer to the question of "Can sellers see bidder's Max Bids?" would at least give people a fighting chance going into an auction.
Thank you for your detailed feedback! We truly appreciate you taking the time to share your experience and concerns, as they help us improve the HiBid platform for all users.
Alerts for Watched Items:
We understand how important it is to stay informed about items you’re watching as they approach closing. While HiBid currently does not send email alerts for watched items nearing the end of an auction, we recognize this as a valuable feature suggestion. We’ll share this feedback with our development team to explore how we can enhance the user experience with additional alert options in the future.
Max Bids and Transparency:
Regarding your concern about max bids, we want to clarify that auctioneers using the HiBid platform can see max bids placed by bidders. This visibility is intended to help auctioneers manage their auctions efficiently. However, we take any concerns about misuse or unethical practices, such as shill bidding, very seriously.
We encourage bidders to review auctioneer terms and conditions and to reach out if you suspect any suspicious activity. Additionally, we are always working on improving trust and transparency across our platform, and your feedback reinforces the need to revisit this area to ensure a fair and secure bidding experience.
Your input is invaluable, and we’re grateful you’ve shared your thoughts with us. If you have further questions or concerns, don’t hesitate to reach out directly. We are here to help.

The item wouldn't come up on my screen at all.I try everything to get it up and nothing would happen.
Thank you, Cindy, for your feedback. We’re sorry to hear about the difficulty you had viewing the item. This may have been due to a technical issue or a browser compatibility problem.
We recommend clearing your browser’s cache, trying a different browser, or checking your internet connection. If the issue persists, please reach out to our support team so we can assist you further.
We appreciate your patience and hope your next experience with HiBid is much smoother!

I've been bidding on HiBid for a couple years and it is a superior platform for auctions. Very good bandwidth for the amount of traffic they handle.
Thank you for your 5-star review, Scott! We're thrilled to hear you've had a wonderful experience bidding on HiBid over the years. We appreciate your kind words about the platform's performance and reliability. Happy bidding!
Bid on a few items from Backyard Bargains Shopping 2024 auction, was minutes away from winning, and when I refereshed the page the auction company added 7 more days to the end time. Called HiBid to resove the problem and got a response that that sort of was allowed and there's nothing that could be done about it. I also asked if my bids could be rescinded from that auction, because I'd rather not do business with a auction company that would pull that kind of stunt to which I got a reply that I would have to reach out to the seller, that it would ultimately be up to them, and that they could leave bad feedback against my account if they chose to which would lead to other auctions not allowing me to bid in future sales. The customer service representative I spoke to sounded like she was annoyed I even called and brought it to her attention, as if this wasn't a crooked action by the auction company. No help was given, no options, no explanations as to why something like this is even allowed to happen, nothing. Basically sellers on this site can virtually do anything to you and as a buyer (the ones keeping this whole thing in motion mind you, no buyers = no Hi-Bid) you have to sit back and take it on the chin or you're gone... Absolutely unreal that this behavior is allowed and even crazier that it's defended.
Thank you for sharing your experience, and we apologize for the frustration caused. We understand the importance of a fair and transparent bidding process.
Auctioneers and sellers sometimes adjust timelines due to changes with consignors or business circumstances. While we understand your frustration, these decisions are made based on their needs. We’ll review this situation to ensure our policies are applied consistently.
We’re also sorry that our customer support didn’t meet your expectations. We value your feedback and will work to improve our service. Please reach out again if you have further concerns, and we’ll do our best to assist you.

Thank you for the 5-star review, Larry! We’re thrilled to hear you’re enjoying the experience and getting better at it. The excitement of closing lots can definitely get intense! Thanks for being part of the community—happy bidding!
I use the site often. I collect several specific items and recently remodeled my home. I love to find items in local online auctions for decor.
Thank you for your amazing review! We’re thrilled to hear that HiBid has been a great option for your auctions and that you’re finding unique items for your collection and home decor. It’s wonderful that our platform is helping you discover local treasures to complement your recent remodel. If there’s ever anything we can assist you with, don’t hesitate to reach out. Happy bidding and decorating!
Why does this site allow retail stores to pose as "Auction Houses"? Absolute BS. I was just recently the high bidder on an item that had no minimual bid, which many of their items did, and I just checked and it stated that the bid was "declined". Yes, it was for something that my winning bid would have been less than 50% of retail. WTF. So, now the sellers can just "decline" bids if the high bid didn't meet what they were hoping to get? It's called a freaking auction. Many of these folks are asking way more than retail just as an opening bid, FFS. If you ever see any items from Trigger Shack LLC out of Bucks County, PA, STAY THE F AWAY. What a freaking scam. I used to enjoy this site but for FS, it has turned into just another site for retail stores to try to sell their stuff. I have bought a ton of stuff off this site and been happy with it but there are some that have turned it to crap. BAN opening bids over $5, let the buyers and the market tell them what it's worth.
Thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts and concerns. We understand that an enjoyable auction experience relies on transparency and fairness, and we're sorry to hear that your recent experience did not meet those expectations.
At HiBid, we serve as a marketplace connecting independent auction houses, estate sellers, and yes, some retail sellers, each with their own policies and pricing strategies. While we encourage all sellers to uphold traditional auction practices, including fair bidding practices and reasonable starting bids, ultimately, each seller determines their bidding and pricing approach.
Regarding "declined" bids, some sellers reserve the right to set starting bids or have reserve prices. We know this can sometimes feel contrary to the auction experience, especially when the bidding process seems unclear. We’re actively working to improve communication about these practices to ensure bidders know what to expect before placing bids.
We’ll also pass along your feedback about pricing and starting bids so we can continue refining the HiBid experience. Meanwhile, we encourage you to explore other sellers and listings, as many strive to offer genuine auction experiences with fair, market-driven pricing.
Thank you again for your feedback, and we hope to have the opportunity to restore your confidence in HiBid.
Great Site, good people to work with. Have always had great products to bid on.
Thank you for the 5-star review, Mike! We’re so glad to hear you had a great experience and enjoyed working with the people involved. Your support means a lot to us—happy bidding!
Answer: Licensed auctioneer here- auction law is that if you give notice that you need to retract your bid before the hammer falls (or the auction ends online) that the auctioneer is required to retract the bid. Actual law also dictates that bidding must start over at opening bid, not the next highest bid.
Answer: Very easy. If you dont get someone immediately they do call back. But once again if you have a problem with items contact the auction house not hibid. Hibid doesn't auction they only provide the platform
Answer: Most auctioneer there are scammers, a thrift store would be better option.
Answer: YES! Confirmed by an auctioneer I know. Hibid auctioneers can see your "maximum bid" and in most states it's legal to "shill" an auction or to bid against the public bidders - to "ensure reasonable sale prices" per national auctioneers associations. Also, anyone can set up an identity and bid against you. Although that may get interesting when they have to pay a commission to "buy" their own item!
Answer: "Mechanically challenged" is often a term auctioneers use to indicate that an item might not be functioning properly. It usually means that the piece needs repairs, doesn't operate as intended, or may have some technical issues. It's best to reach out to the seller for a clearer explanation to avoid any surprises. By confirming the exact condition directly with them, you'll have a better understanding of what you're bidding on.
Answer: Yes, if you suspect any fraud, please contact HiBid directly at 844-775-4774. Our team is here to assist you and ensure a safe and secure experience.
Answer: Some auctioneers require credit card verification as part of the bidder registration process. This process involves a temporary authorization charge of $1.00 to ensure the card is valid. In some cases, additional processing fees or taxes might cause the amount to appear slightly higher, such as $1.46. Please rest assured that this is not an actual charge but rather a temporary hold that will be released by your card issuer. Typically, these holds clear within 5-7 business days, depending on your financial institution. If the charge doesn't disappear after this time, we recommend contacting your credit card provider for further assistance.
Answer: Thank you for reaching out regarding your bidder rating and the reasons behind it. Bidder ratings on HiBid are determined by various factors, such as your bidding activity and whether you've been permanently approved or declined by auction companies in the past. Unfortunately, HiBid support and bidders themselves cannot view or access these ratings or the specific reasons behind them, as this information is exclusively available to auctioneers. The best way to gain insight is to contact an auctioneer you have a good relationship with or one whose auctions you'd like to participate in. They may be able to provide some clarity or work with you to address any concerns.
Answer: Thank you for reaching out! We understand how it can be confusing when an item is removed before an auction ends, but please rest assured it's not a scam. Sometimes auctioneers encounter unforeseen issues and may need to cancel or relist items. Keep in mind that auctioneers often work with consignors to ensure items are sold fairly, which can involve reserve prices or other considerations that may or may not be visible on specific listings. We recommend reaching out to the auctioneer directly for more details. If you have any difficulty reaching them, we're here to help facilitate communication.
Answer: Yes, HiBid regularly features a wide selection of motorcycles available for auction.
