I have had an absolutely terrible experience with this company. I ordered two standard size bridesmaid dresses costing £128 which included £23 postage. The dresses arrived within timeframe stated and my girls were so excited to receive them. However, the colour was not as stated and the dresses were made appallingly. My tailor who has over 40 years experience could not believe the bad workmanship. The dresses looked nothing like the picture. When I complained and asked for a refund, Herdress simply replied time and time again for me to take them to a local tailor for "alteration". My tailor commented that the dresses could not be altered to fit my children and that they would need completely taken apart and started again, which defeated the object. Herdress did not offer any return/refund and have refused to answer any communication now. Terrible company and a complete rip off.

Dishonest, purporting to be a UK company but are not.
Purchased a prom dress for my daughter and paid delivery costs on top of the cost of the dress. Dress came which was ok to be honest, not quite like the picture but ok. I emailed them asking about the quality and it took 4 emails before getting a response which just fobbed me off. I now have a TNT bill for customs and excise import duty for £36 which I have to pay as the dress was a "GIFT"? And came from outside the UK.
This company use a. co.uk website address and do not anywhere on thier site state they are outside the UK and the products will attract import duty.
I emailed them to ask why this was and they ignored my emails for over a week. Then just sent a dismissive email stating that some countries could attract taxes... no mention that they themselves were not UK based.
DO NOT USE.

These people are scammers and criminals. They will sell you a terrible product in the wrong size, and refuse to give you a refund under any circumstances.

They have stolen £100 from me. They sent me a dress with different measurements to the ones I ordered, and I sent them proof that they had done so. They refused to refund and gave me no reason, even though they state in their returns policy that this is a legitimate reason for a refund.

Aside from them sending the wrong size, the actual dress is terrible quality and looks nothing like the picture.

This criminal company need to be shut down. AVOID THEM.

They take your order, make a dress however they want, send you it screwed up in a plastic bag which is then forced in to a DHL mail bag thats 10x too small for the dress!
The dress I received was all misshaped, had off colour patches and has not been finished properly.
When contacted they asked for photos, then said that the photos did not prove anything. After many emails backwards and forwards the sent me a 6% yes 6! Refund. Which equivalent to £10.98! Their emails and customer service is downright rude! This company should be shutdown! They are falsely advertising products then do not refund or allow returns.
Their website states that they accept returns of the dress size varies from the stated measurements on their website, however when your dress varies from them, they still dont accept responsibility or returns! Their pictures on their websites are not genuine, they have screenshot dresses from other sites then get their chinese factories to make a dress that looks something similar! (Or not similar at all!)

I bought what I thought was a beautiful white dress with sequins on the bodice, costing me £130 plus 20 odd pounds for delivery and then I had received a message from the delivery company to tell me I owe £21 for taxes. Once the dress had been delivered I quickly opened the parcel as I was really excited as this dress was what I would be wearing to renew my wedding vowels, I was really angry when I opened the parcel the pristine white dress in the photo looked like it had a grey tinge to it, the material was cheap and the design was not the same on the side of the dress with poor sewing. I contacted the company straight away, they sent me an email straight back asking me to send photos, so I did, then they emailed to say they can't see what the problem was, I replied again and they came back with why don't you keep the dress and forget the subtle error of the dress and since all dresses are hand made it is inevitable the tiny differences will be made in the process of tailoring. I emailed back telling them it's not acceptable and I won't just keep something that I'm not happy with, and they haven't responded since. I only wish that I had seen everyone reviews before buying from these conartists.

I have had the same problem. Ordered a dress purposely from a UK based company to avoid any issues and dress is still with the seemstress as it was made for 8 foot lady and as it had an open back it falls off my shoulders every time I lean forward. It was classified on the BAG it came in as a gift which it isn't. Therfore it is subject to import tax and now I also have a bill from TNT of £36.52 to pay. Costumers get mislead to believe that this company is UK based. I'm still digging my heals in and keep trying to contact herdress as I'm not willing to pay for a con. The dresses look lovely online but do not fall for it unless you are prepared to pay extra upon extra. This website does not deserve any stars.

I ordered a prom dress for my daughter. We decided to order using our own measurements. When the dress was due to be delivered I received a text from DHL stating I had to pay import tax as the company from Singapore had not paid this and had put the onus on me to pay. Obviously I had to pay up in order to get the dress delivered and assuming all would be perfect with the made to measure dress... or so I assumed. Here is the reality - The dress arrived in a plastic bag, offering no protection at all. Flaw in the material, right at the front, so highly noticeable. Lining sewn poorly, which makes it ruffled under the main dress. A red bead used by mistake when the dress was supposed to be all silver beads, so this stands out like a sore thumb. I contacted them and was told " we suggest you keep the dress and forget about the subtle error of the dress, since all dresses are hand-made, it is inevitable that some tiny difference will be made during the process of tailoring". Refused to refund. I have lodged a complaint with my bank as fortunately I paid using a credit card. Not sure whether they can claim anything back, I am waiting to find out what happens from here. So be warned and DO NOT RISK IT. Use a reputable, well known UK company unless you want to throw away approx. £150, which is the average cost of dress with delivery.

If the dress you bought looks nothing like what you ordered get a CHARGEBACK with your creditcard.
It is a bit of hassle, you need to provide printed emails with all your complaints to herdress and their responses and then possibly send them links to review sites to bolster your case.

Trustpilot is another site with plenty of disgruntled herdress customers.

Avoid this company like the plague----not to be trusted; their service, customer service-returns and refunds, flexibility, knowledge and accountability DO NOT EXIST. They do not adhere to their own policies and the customer does not matter. They ruin dreams and expect the customer to be grateful for the terrible service they supply.
