So far so good, dismiss any negative hear say, stating that you will have to pay the government back, after tax filing. This is only true, if you lied about your annual income, being much more than you stated during enrollment.and if you get a raise, rasing your annual income, you should call the health market place, and inform them.

I went on the website just to see what I qualify for... I hear with my income I should be covered completely free because I make so little. I used a calculator which required me to enter a phone number and since then I received dozens of calls a day, and texts. I did not agree to be spammed like this! One agent told me that as soon as I entered my info on the calculator it was made public. I'll probably have to change me number now, as I'm already on the National DMV and still getting spammed!

February 1, 2021

They cancelled my dental coverage without my consent and refused to add it on. Told me I needed to wait for open enrollment again (a whole $#*!ing year) which is bull$#*!. They make it to where you can't get dental without it and wouldn't add it in after THEY Took it off. Now I have no health insurance what so ever

Here you need help let us help you get insurance, since now... you have to. Oh then lets take most of your tax refund because we "helped" you get insurance. I would have rather gone with out and taken the ding. This is what happens when you let too much government help (scam) you.

Tried to sign up due to losing my job which was downsized. It is so expensive that I can't afford it and the medicine I am on will only be covered for 50% which is leaving a hefty bill I can't afford. I wanted something to help people not hurt so bad. Can someone who doesn't make over 6 figures please review these amounts so people making normal wages can afford this.

CSC's are very helpful in my experience. But the plans are CRAP! Period! Nothing is paid for unless deductible is met which is $8,500 min. I know of people that are lazy ( choose not to work) and do drugs on these programs and get 100% coverage with no out of pocket cost and ALL FREE top quality medical Free, Free, Free... The gov needs to clean up these programs! BIG FAT JOKE! And why do they have these rating? They dont read them or following up by changing anything. The plans change every week kinda like a gas station changing prices just because they can. Also why in the F*%K do we have the middle man like these to ROB US. We need a programs to pay our bills out right to medical business and quit robbing us like these ins companies!

This is the government portal that was part of the passage of healthcare reform, and it is all I hoped it would be. As Move On says, it's "a new online portal where anyone can go to find insurance options in their state, went live. It's a very handy resource for information that used to be difficult to find. It's available to help millions who need insurance find it, and as a resource for those who want to shop around for new options or find out their new benefits under the new law." Check out Hospital Compare on the site to check the quality and safety records of U. S hospitals.

INFURIATING EXPERIENCE
October 25, 2023

Savings are very beneficial but the process of obtaining healthcare with them is excruciating! Every single time I call in, I get completely differing information and have had to spend HOURS following up on their issues. Not only that, they provide a customer service # within the portal that appears to be their # but is actually HealthSherpa (a for profit private sector company) without disclosing it. This whole process has been infuriating!

Sucks
August 6, 2015

Why do the representatives( of Healthcare. Gov) who take applications not tell the applicants that they will have to pay all of the money back at tax time? Why do they not tell you that you will be automatically enrolled ( without your permission, acknowledgement - or notification)? Ten phone calls over a years time to resolve a simple issue, and they tell me the same thing, "You should receive a call from a case worker, and a letter in the mail." They tell me they sent letters every time, yet I have received no such thing, - so the truth is, that is a lie they tell you. They also told me that their system automatically logs all calls, but, yet - conveniently, the first of my calls never happened. This whole thing in a nutshell - it's the biggest insurance scam in human history. My advice; Do not enroll in the marketplace healthcare system, and find your own insurance provider.

We dread calling because we have never gotten our issues taken care of. I got Lisa Fisher and let me just say that she is the sweetest representative we have spoken to yet. She made sure to make sure we had everything taken care of and treated me like we were friends and not just another phone call. There needs to be more people like her.

Fix your site! Your site is not updated and include a place to make payments to this crappy Insurance that I was told have to go to their site to pay. I think you folks ought to go on Obama Care rather than sitting up their high and mighty in London, KY.
Nobody and read and comprehend let alone have critical thinking skills. Marketplace always need more information but if they would read they already have what they resquest!

Started to receive coverage from new employer. So i terminated my policy on the website since I kept getting disconnected when trying to cancel over the phone. I then realized that the termination date was set for the following month after an automatic payment was deducted from my account. Called to change the cancellation and they said they can not change termination date if it was done online, only if it was done over the phone. Also, said there is no one that can help and no one to transfer me to, was very rude during the process. Spent an extra $512 on coverage I did not need this month. Spent hours on the phone trying to get someone to help, no one knew how to fix this problem, which should have been an easy fix.

Liars!
June 10, 2017

Called because I lost my job 2 Mos ago. Rep said policy was cancelled as of the day of my call. Hot a bill 1 week later. Called and was informed that policy was not cancelled and would take 14 days from today to cancel. Asked the rep to read the notes from my initial call 10 days earlier. Notes clearly stated I was calling to cancel due to loss of income. Asked for a supervisor. Supervisor said he would TRY to retro act the cancellation. Asked if he was able to review the recorded call. Supervisor said 'maybe'. Also imfomed me that if i cancelled, i could not enroll again until Nov and would get a fine for no ins. This place is ridiculous. Every person gives different info. Probably will still get billed for this policy. And good luck with the website. I found it easier to wait on hold for 30 min and talk to idiots and liars.

This is horrible
August 10, 2017

As if health insurance was not difficult enough. The geniuses at the government decided to make the process almost impossible to navigate. There is nothing the government can't make worse by getting involved. This act also went against the will of the people. The only way the Supreme Court could justify its existence was to call this a tax. This is taxation without representation and is not what this country was founded on. Taxation is leagalized theft performed by brainless bought and paid for thugs in congress.

Poor House
November 7, 2021

You've got to be kidding me. The cheapest coverage for me is $800.00 a month. So two weeks of my pay on top of my $900.00 a month rent. So another two weeks of my pay. That leaves me 0 left for my $300.00 a month auto insurance. I am at $2000. 00 a month without paying any bills or putting any food on the table. What the hell is wrong with this country? Who the hell can afford to live anymore? Insurance is out of control! Something has to give soon or we are all in trouble!

Not hard to enroll through the site. But issues after the fact - there is little help to be had. Healtchare.gov has me in one plan. The insurance company has me in another. Insurance company sympathizes, but can do nothing as Healthcare.gov drives all the data. Healthcare.gov can't help. May help in 30 days, but, I am told, it's not their problem. So, if your enrollment goes smoothly, I congratulate and envy you. If you stumble during enrollment, you have my deepest sympathy.

Absolute Joke
November 14, 2017

I haven't had insurance in over a decade because my employers never offer it
(I've always worked with small businesses). So after getting screwed by the penalty two years in a row I finally decide to give it a shot and apply for Health Coverage using HealthCare.gov. What an absolute waste of time. After all the time I spent filling out the information when I finally get to the marketplace I look at the plans and the cheapest plan is nearly HALF MY INCOME. I'm sorry. I'm not about to sell my house and give up paying my mortgage just so I can have health insurance. I thought it was supposed to be AFFORDABLE healthcare!?!? It's a joke. Completely and utterly ridiculous. This is an absolute plague on the American people.

Unbelievable
March 21, 2016

It is impressive how incompetent the customer service is at healthcare.gov. I have made 5 phone calls to get my named spelled correctly on my insurance card, and still is spelled incorrectly. I'm flabbergasted. This is a simple task. I am currently locked out to acess my application, and customer service could not unlock the account even though the website says to call customer service to unlock.
