I was looking for rates outside of the marketplace and signed up for an emailed report. I did not get my email, but what I HAVE gotten since 4:48pm yesterday is over 100 (yes, one hundred!) phone calls from different numbers. Nobody can take me off the list. I block every number as they call, but they just spoof other numbers to keep trying to get in touch.
I attached screenshots of my calls just from today. This doesn't show that some of these numbers called multiple times. It's abusive.
Scammers! Stay away! I thought it was just the calls that were worrying from reviews but it's not, they completely lie about policies and coax you into signing! Then refuse to do anything about it. DO NOT TRUST them, con artists.
I'm looking for a new health plan, thought this would give me some quotes or plans to review - all it did was take data, send it to God knows whom so in the last 10 minutes I've gotten literally 15 calls and another 10 texts, and I haven't looked at my email box yet -- plus the only data the website gave after all that was links to other people's sites that list plans. Completely useless, worse than useless as provides nothing in exchange for getting spammed out of existence. No box asking permission to send your data elsewhere. Privacy violation, probably illegal since it's personal and medical data. Will report to authorities.
I was looking for cobra or other affordable health insurance plans because I got laid off from my job. A fake agent called and claimed he was from covered California and I gave my credit card info…. And my insurance id number. Then stole $860 saying it was to be refunded the next day so I can be on the wait list. The bank blocked it and sent a text the guy on the phone said to approve it. The charge went through. Nothing was refunded the next day. I asked am I being scammed. The guy hung up and I filed a fraud report immediately with my bank. No insurance plans were sent to me.They need to get shut down and sent to prison. So not cool especially targeting unemployed people. I won't get my money back from the bank for 5-10 business days. I need it immediately and it's inconvenient to deal with.please get robo call blocker to block all the phone calls you will get: the email is definitely fake and will phish your info
I accidentally included my number when I was checking something. I am getting over hundred call in my mobile number. Please don't share your phone number with these people. They sell it to everyone. I don't know how to get rid of all these unwanted calls.
I just called them for a quote - I talked to a Brandon, I believe- I told him that I had to talk with my husband about it and would like to receive an email to read about the plan beforehand. I told him that I will give him a call back later today. He did not want to accept that and I should purchase it right now on the phone. He literally told me "what a waste of time" and hung up on me.
Wow, DO NOT share any of your information with this company. I submitted my contact information this morning and have received literally 13 calls from them in the past 2 hours, from 3-4 different phone numbers. I finally picked up to ask them to remove my information and stop calling me, and the man on the phone said "There is no way to take you off the list." Before I could say anything, he hung up on me. To say that there's no way to take me off the list a lie, and also illegal under CCPA and privacy laws.
I put my contact info in healthplans.com expecting to get a call so I coiuld get health insurance rates. I recieved 44 calls 8 text messages and a couple of emails. All healthplans.com does is sell your info to as many agents it can.
They take too long to process payments - even when made from a bank. Then they charge a $40 late fee - and interest! Beware - pay early if you must use them and read the fine print. It's usury.
I was merely researching while at work. If I wanted to speak with someone I would've called. Hence the online search! The minute I put my number in the calls began and they have not stopped. I've received at least 36 calls in less than 3 hours! Literally a call every few minutes. Here's a photo to prove it. I'm losing my mind with these calls! So I keep sending them emails to remove me and I'll keep doing it until they do
These people have called me 10 times in 2 hours. They claim it is different providers but they all have the same message and most don't sound like they are in a call center but rather at a party or on the street. When i told them to stop calling they got rude and spoke to me like i was stupid.
This site is a scam. They called for 3 days straight several times per hour, including late evening, without any consideration for time of the day. Even after I cancelled my request on the same website, some calls were still coming. Two different people offered me a plan, ensuring it will be covering my specific health care need and the specialty clinic that I am going to. However, when I checked with my clinic - the answer was it does not take that plan. Good thing I did not sign up, and checked first.
They are also reluctant at providing their contact information and especially physical location (they lie about the city/state of their location). One of those callers got really nervous and asked me if I was an FBI agent after I simply asked for his street address of his office; of course he hung up and did not provide the address.
I wonder how those scammers are ok with what they are doing and why they do not want to find a real job? I often do pick up those calls even knowing this is scam, because I enjoy trolling them. They fully deserve it. This, I hope, may encourage some of them to quit their malicious activity.
This site is a scam. You'll receive constant calls and slightly disturbing voicemails. Mostly of people breathing, the sound of mumbling in a far distance, scratching noises and so on. Its never just a normal person talking.
I submitted a request for quote. Now I'm continuously receiving fraud calls. They sell information to the third parties. I called the customer service number on its website and the person who picked up the phone said they don't have a website.
Don't fill out the on-line application! You will get a million phone calls as your phone number is distributed to dozens of partner companies, each of whom will try to call you endlessly, even after you buy a policy.
Call the 800 number at the top of the page. If you don't get a rep you like, hang up and call back. There are scads of them all selling the same thing. The person I used was very knowledgeable and forthcoming. Be prepared to invest time. At least an hour... to ask questions and then go through the screening process. Insurance was reasonably priced and went into effect the next day. The insurance carrier was accepted by all my doctors and was not one of the insurance companies known by doctors as no-pay or slow-pay.
Once you reach a decision, ask to be put on the Do Not Contact list to help slow down the calls. Your agent will call you, but it will stop the endless followup from other call centers.
Called me non-stop for 3 weeks. As I blocked numbers they would just start using number spoofers. Threatened multiple people to be put on a do not call list. Right before the calls stopped I started getting tons and tons of spam that I am still dealing with. I doubt it is a coincidence. Do not waste the headache.
They bombard you with calls, while you're trying to compare plans online. Like annoying pains in the arses. They need to open up their minds and let some damn common sense in. You don't get good customers by bugging the phuck out of them. It actually does the polar opposite...
Answering the calls does *not* take you off the list. They say they will, but if they didn't get any money from you, rest assured they will continue barraging you with calls immediately. There is no single list anyway. Each company they sold your personal info to has their own list, and good luck getting removed from each one. The constant calls from a wide variety of numbers simply does not end. This is a scam site.
They are a broker with a fee. You should never be charged a fee for enrolling in a health insurance program. Plenty of legitimate health insurance companies exist for you to contact directly
You do not need a third party to get health insurance. This company exists solely to give your personal information to anyone who pays them.
It's clear that the agents work for a commission and they don't care about you, they just want money. Classic scam, except a legal one that you accidentally signed up for.
This is not an honest business and if you say you're not interested, the person on the phone will hang up on you and you'll get a call from a new number 5 minutes later. Hundreds of them.
Note that https://new-york-healthplans.com/ (substitute for your own state) is the same people and you'll have the same experience. Be smarter than we were, and stay away.
It was a casual interest in looking for online quotes. They say they won't spam you, but right after I submitted my info, I received 10 phone calls immediately. Don't have anything to say about there services because I wouldn't give them the time of day after being bombarded with phone calls. Not the right approach for getting new customers. From other reviews I see, I guess I'm going to have to deal with them for weeks.
I filled out my application and gave them my card info. If I only knew how horrible their customer service is I would never buy anything from them.
Called customer service and nobody picked up phone and answered my calls. I sent them a message through their web site asking to call me ASAP but have not heard anything back. I DO NOT recommend using them
Answer: YES IT IS A SCAM! All they do is sell your information to various insurance companies that will harass you
