I've had international orders arrive much earlier! Customer service is useless! This is food, people, and it ain't cheap! Do NOT waste you time, money, or compromise your relationship with friends with whom you are attempting a nice gesture. Stick to flowers delivered by USPS - they'll be dead when the get there, but they will eventually get there. This is strike three with this business, so no more orders from this family.
They obviously don't care about the customers. For all the one star reviews they receive they've made no changes on their products, customer service and egregious business practices. Why they haven't been shut down or gone bankrupt is beyond me. Avoid at all costs.
Ordered a gift for Mother's day 2 weeks in advance, never even shipped, then I was told it would definitely be there 5/14, still no tracking and no shipping. No contact on a substitution, or any other solutions.
I placed an order for Christmas gifts for my staff and family on 12/2, to be delivered a couple weeks later, at least one week before Christmas. I received several email confirmations about the order since then... until today 12/18 when I got an apology email notifying me that they didn't have the product i ordered and replaced it with a totally inferior product without asking me first. I attempted to email and call customer service to get answers. It took over an hour to get a call back from some useless person in the Caribbean, who then transferred me to a "supervisor" with a promise of an immediate answer. After waiting on hold for over 30 minutes, my phone was disconnected on their end. A total joke and very disheartening that my hard working employees will not be receiving my expression of gratitude. Don't do business with this company. Worst I've ever experienced.
H & D have contracted out customer service to people in the Caribbean. Unfortunately, they cannot understand English. They refuse to transfer me to a supervisor and play a game of putting me on hold, pretending to try to find a supervisor, coming back after a minute or so and saying no one is available.
This used to be a Five Star company. I'm not sure what happened. You can't even reach corporate.
I think 2 stars are generous. I will not even try to order from H&D ever again.

Family member sent me Harry & David Cushman's Honeywell's for Christmas 2022. Ten of the 18 oranges were rotten. Soft and rotting. They are being replaced but Harry and David need to do better. Shame on you!
Gift from friend... First photo is what is shown on web site. Second is what was delivered. "proudly packed" by Maria... wouldn't have put that little card in there if I packed this disgusting mess! Nuff said
As a Passport member I placed an order via their website (logged into my account) and Harry & David still charged me the full shipping cost! They were unable to refund the $20.98 shipping/service charge. I had to call back the next day to get it refunded. I asked for a manager, they Care rep said he was not able to transfer the call to a manager. There must be thousands of orders of people being incorrectly charged for shipping when they are Passport members. If I was a lawyer I'd file a Class Action Lawsuit against them. Any lawyers out there?
Would give Harry & David a zero if I could. Have placed three separate orders with them in the last month for gifts for family, friends and ourselves. There was a delivery issue with each one. Customer service doesn't care. They gave me false information two days in a row by email, as I was trying to track down an order that should already have arrived. When I finally spoke with someone in customer service, he said he didn't know where the other representative got their information, nor could he tell me the status of my order. They've lost my trust and my business.
Terrible company with terrible customer service. Purchased a Thanksgiving feast with premium shipping 3 months in advance. Day of delivery arrived and went, they just never shipped it. No email, no communication whatsoever. I called and they indicated that the warehouse was having issues. A courtesy email to let me know would have been appropriate. Avoid at all costs and purchase from a more reputable company. They are owned by 1800 flowers, which has terrible customer service as well.
Ordered a couple very expensive wreaths for Thanksgiving gifts. Website said they would be delivered before TG. Still haven't shipped the day after TG. Customer service stinks, lied to to protect their mistake. Please don't waste your money with these people. I had ordered 10+ gifts a year with them, no more!
So disappointed with this company. They never give you an accurate delivery date anymore. I know times are difficult now, but just be honest if you can't do it, and please don't just add to the cost. Adding an additional delivery fee and then still not meeting your end of the bargain is so upsetting.
I ordered a gift basket for my customer on 12/16, the confirmed it would be delivered by 12/22. Then they sent me an email saying they have issues with carriers, which was completely false as the called me to tell me the item was sold out on 12/27, way past initial date of delivery. Post that I picked another item which was going to be delivered by 12/29. Today is 1/2/2022 and guess what item was sold out again. No follow up from them. Why would pick up orders if they didnt have items in stock, they could have just let customers go to other options instead of falsely advertising products which they dont have.
What the heck? Why would you want to send gifts going to the same person in separate shipping boxes arriving at different times? That makes absolutely no sense and completely ruins the gifting for the recipient!
Get it together, Harry and David.

I get a least one gift a year from unimaginative family/friends. Not much effort to do and looks and tastes like no one cares. The fruit is always bruised and rotten. I just got pears and thought I could salvage some for a pear tart, nope, bad all the way through. I contacted Harry & David and guess what? They will replace the order with more rotten pears. They can send and resend because it's overpriced and don't lose any money by replacing.
I ordered a gift for my daughter's birthday on May 19. First, I never received a confirmation email. Second, as of today, May 25, the gift still hasn't shipped, a full six days after placing the order - there's still no tracking number. Third, I used the feedback icon to lodge a complaint and got zero - zip - nada response. This is the most arrogant, disgusting company I've ever seen. I'll never order from them again!
I've used Harry and David for years and was always satisfied with their products and service. This year was different. I ordered three gifts baskets. One was delivered a month earlier than I expected. When I called customer service, I could hardly hear the agent's voice and her knowledge of English was minimal. The I asked to speak to her supervisor, she said they'd call me back. I'm still waiting. From my order form it looks like the other two gift baskets are going to be delivered three weeks earlier than I wanted. Very disappointing service. I certainly don't plan to order from H & D again.
I have to start out with the fact that Harry & David do offer great gifts, Here is my problem, my mother passed a little over a year ago, and I just got an email for me to order her a gift. This would not have caused an issue except they used her name.
How sad this made me. Please make sure the person is still living before you use their name.

My daughter got me a basket with some dark cherries and two small bags of nuts. There was nothing wrong with the items, except I priced them at our local grocery for a total of $18 and she paid $72! Their profit margin must be tremendous. Will go to the grocery in the future!
This customer service is the worst I have ever come across. I love their pears but other companies have similar enough fruit and gifts, use them. This way if you need to contact their customer service you won't cringe knowing you are about to waste an hour of your life... and no matter what don't take the call back option, that is a black hole. Hopefully, if you wait long enough, you won't be hung up on or your able find someone who actually knows what they are doing. Just don't order their stuff anymore and save yourself the aggravation.

Answer: In the past this company offered excellent quality products--albeit a bit overpriced. Now the price is the same (or higher) but the quality has definitely gone downhill. Not sure if the company was bought out or what, but... I will never order from them again. They have done permanent damage to their reputation and their customer base is eroding quickly.
Answer: Why do you think any of these reviews have anything to do with Politics? That's pretty crazy assumption. My basket was 2 weeks late and that is not Political. It's facts.

Answer: It isn't difficult to reach them via phone, just be prepared for hold times. I would definitely recommend calling them rather than email, the email correspondence I had with them was hopeless.
