I paid extra for a delivery to occur by a date certain. The delivery did not occur. I contacted Harry and David to find out why the package was not delivered on time and when it would be delivered. The customer service representative told me it would be delivered the next day. As a courtesy she said she would refund my money. I told her I did not want the delivery cancelled. I was told it would still be delivered. Today, I called to find out that the delivery was cancelled. I know must scramble to find another present for a presentation that is to take place today. Do not count on Harry and David.
Harry and David pears are delicious. Some have been on the small side but still my favorite fruit of the holiday season. Stay away from the baskets with cookies. The one we received had all different kinds of Christmas cookies along with the pears. All of the cookies were "hard tack" stale. They were pretty bad. Just stick with the fruit.
We ordered a smoked turkey, cheesecake, and street corn, stuffing, and baked potatoes for Thanksgiving. Only the smoked turkey and cheesecake came, and the Turkey was undercooked. The cheesecake wasn't bad, only because they probably didn't make it. Then they gave me c&*p about a refund. These people should be called the Fleece brothers instead of Harry and David.
Their prices are way too high. Their shipping & service is very slow & poor. The Quality of their Products is Horrible - Very old & dried out. Do Not buy from this Vendor! I would give 0 Stars if I could. This is the Truth.
My daughter sent the miniature rose with pitcher as a Mother's Day gift. The chocolates were completely melted as to the state of being liquified, and the miniature rose was unacceptably wilted. I will certainly notify my daughter concerning the disapproval rating of this product.
I ordered a gift basket mid November. It was shipped FEDEX. It has been at delivery points since 12-1. I know it's FedEx problem but they won't investigate with FedEx what's wrong. The basket had pershible goods. It will be a total disaster.
Will never order from Harry and David again... very disappointing. My order to my daughter and grandson was never delivered... just a plain candy delivery. My grandson lost his job so sent him a box of candy hoping to make him feel better. No delivery made unfortunately.
Just to be clear, my review is not about Harry & David products, but rather an awful website and purchasing experience. I tried to send a box of cookies to my former mother in law for her birthday. I went to the website, pulled up the order from last year and opted to send it again to the same recipient. When I went to checkout, it didn't reload the recipient information and so I had to re-enter it all. Okay, not a huge deal but inconvenient. Then it wouldn't accept my payment information. After a frustrating 20 minutes of checking and re-entering information I gave up and went to Amazon.
I place an order on January 14,2023 and my bank account was debited for $330.46. On January 14,2023 my account was debited again for $357.91. I called several times and was told my account was only debited once. I had to open a fraud case with my bank. Please be careful when placing an order with this company. I should have checked the reviews before I place an order
First time customer. I placed and offer and was offered a discount as a first time customer of 15%. They did not apply the discount. Called customer service and they said there was nothing they could do with that order because it was already placed I had just placed the order 2 minutes ago. Very sad they did not honor their advertisement. Will not use them again.
Item was supposed to be delivered before Christmas. I paid extra for shipping. Item is now showing to arrive more than a week after Christmas. Since the item has not shipped, I requested a cancelation and refund. They refused.
I ordered several bbq sauces as gifts for family. There was a mix up and I got some sauces I didn't order and didn't get some sauces I did. Customer service was on it, though, very quickly and made everything right in fast time. Very appreciative of their professionalism and the sauces are amazing.
Cannot cancel Passport! Do not sign up. What a ripoff! IT AUTO RENEWS EVERY YEAR! Sitting on hold for 20 minutes and still no one answers phone. Cannot cancel online! UGH! I will never order from them again!
I placed several Christmas box orders 3 days ago. I understood gifts would arrive with Merry Christmas card in the 2-3 weeks before Christmas. Today I got email saying my gifts had shipped and would arrive 11/11/21. WTF. A week before Thanksgiving! I called customer service and got young agent in Costa Rica with 1-800-Flowers, the sister company. No speak English well. Got transferred to agent in Philappines. Long story short. Gifts are on the way now but another box will be sent before Christmas.
I placed my order of Triple Treat Deluxe Summer Fruit ($97.69) on July 31st. It was delivered on August 25th. I contacted customer service on 8/26 about half of my peaches having mold on them and the others were tasteless. Out of the 3 fruit ordered, only the nectarines were edible. Customer service offered me a 20% discount on my next order and some preserves. (blank stare) Like, you can't seriously think that I'll order from you again! Also, I still haven't received the preserves!
I ordered something from them two years ago. They signed me up for some annual membership. I called and cancelled and they refunded me. Two years later I get charged again (I haven't order anything from them since the last debacle). Now I have to fight with them to get this refunded.
Ordered Easter Dinners to be delivered to 3 different family members that was suppose to be delivered today 2 days before Easter. I just happened to look to check on the delivery to find out they were never shipped. I spent over $700.00 and Harry and David didn't even have the respect to notify me that they did not ship the order. So now I had to announce to the family members what a bunch of nitwits Harry and David are and how rude and unprofessionally and apologize now they have to go out last moment during a pandemic to get their own Easter dinner. Will never ever use them again and will scream from the rooftops about their incompetence.
Bought a package of Moose Munch. My wife started eating it and felt something in her mouth. Spit it out and found a small package of absorbent material was packaged with the food product. The small package of absorbent is clearly marked DO NOT EAT but it is so small you don't see it when mixed in the popcorn. I called Harry & David and they said they put that in many of their products although we have never found one before. If we had given this to our grandson he might have ingested it not knowing it was not to be eaten. Their customer service response was that we shouldn't worry about it and they would pass my comments up the line. If they need this stuff for freshness it should be put in a bigger package that can be easily seen and removed. Warnig look out for foreign objects in Harry and David Products.
I was to have been issued a refund from December 2021, here it is March, 2022, and no refund. I have written MANY times and told a different story on when it is to be issues, that is has been issued and attitude in the emails. I will be taking steps to make this known and to have it resolved by an outside source. I have been ordering form the for several years. NEVER AGAIN. It was their mistake to top it off.
Ordered a gift basket. Promo said order $30 more for no shipping costs. So I ordered $30 more and they billed me in two separate invoices-one for products one for shipping. I called customer service twice. They said they didn't charge me for shipping, said I ordered two gifts not the three I ordered, repeatedly put me on hold, wouldn't get a supervisor, and after over an hour on the phone they finally agreed I was right but one of the orders was from a duster company which voided the promotion. No indication on my printed receipt that it was all from Harry and David. Total bill was $25 over listed price.

Answer: In the past this company offered excellent quality products--albeit a bit overpriced. Now the price is the same (or higher) but the quality has definitely gone downhill. Not sure if the company was bought out or what, but... I will never order from them again. They have done permanent damage to their reputation and their customer base is eroding quickly.

Answer: It isn't difficult to reach them via phone, just be prepared for hold times. I would definitely recommend calling them rather than email, the email correspondence I had with them was hopeless.
