Wanted to order 50 baskets for friends and clients. Had to submit my order--they said I could submit as a Word attachment--4 times before they found it, and they found it only because I had pasted it in the text of the email. Many errors on the order and they cannot deliver until Dec 22--I submitted the order on Dec 9. Been on hold for 27 minutes to try to fix this. The first time when they did not call me back as promised when I "pressed 1" for a call back should have clued me in not to try to move forward with them. I will go back to Gourmet Baskets.
I ordered 3 gift baskets for delivery to clients. The first item was $99.99 in their catalog, but the online order charged $104.99. The second and third items were the same basket. One charged me correctly at $69.99, the other one charged me $74.99. I called in to talk to customer service and had a 15 minute wait. When I asked the guy for help, he told me he had to get me to another person, and the call was so long I had to wait for a call back. The gal that called me back couldn't help me and only kept asking for my and the recipients information over and over. I asked for a supervisor, was put on hold, and then told I will get a call back later. I tried their online chat system and when it looked like I was finally chatting with a live rep, they disappeared on me and the process started all over. I will never order from this company again.
Ordered cheese cake for my mom for Mother's Day. Was supposed to arrive on Saturday, but wasn't delivered until Monday afternoon. Needless to say, it was no longer even cool. Cheese cakes spoiled and no gift for my mom! Why? No one knows. I'll never order from them again for a special occasion.
I ordered a gift basket on December 16 and got a tracking number from Fed Ex. Then in December 23 rd I received an email stating my order wasn't available and wouldn't be delivered. This order had more than enough lead time for the shipping issues.
I ordered a cake to be sent to my cousin on Friday, April 28th. I specifically stated that date on their online form. They have just informed me that it's arriving on Wednesday, April 26th. I don't understand how they can be so unprofessional. This company doesn't care about customers. This issue is embarrassing because my cousin's cake isn't arriving on his birthday but two days early. I should have read the reviews before ordering with Harry & David. NEVER AGAIN.
I ordered a promotion gift for my manager and found out it couldn't be delivered until 8/24... with $17.99 shipping costs. So called customer service and asked them to find an item that could ship this week. The lady I spoke with said she had a similiar item that would arrive on Thursday with additional $9.99 express shipping. She offered a discount due to the delivery disappointment with the first one. I agreed. My manager received it today... wrong order. I don't recommend this company... you never know what you may end up with.:-(
Their online ordering is a disaster. My Gift List from last year is a joke. They sent me a hard copy in the mail which is nowhere close to what they have for me online. I am adding recipients to this year's list and the list literally changes before my eyes - items I have put in my cart disappear; when I try to add recipients, items I have already put in my cart for other individuals also disappear. I have a list of 29 recipients, all with the same order and there are only 24 items in my cart. Go figure! Not doing this again next year.
I order 5 orders to be shipped to five different people. The orders that contained fruit were universally bad. The fruit was inconsistent in size, soft, mushy, in some cases unripe. Chocolate covered Strawberries were the worst I have seen. Not only were the berries bad but the packaging was subpar and the product was damaged. Customer service was ambivalent and did the absolute minimum only after I contacted them several times.
I purchased two sympathy baskets, using ShopRunner from American Express. The idea was for them to arrive before the funeral so I ordered a week ahead of time. The baskets are now sitting at a FedEx facility and will arrive after the funeral. If I could cancel the order and order from someone else, I would. Also, if I had known when I placed the order that Harry & David had been acquired by 1-800-Flowers, I would never have ordered from them. A horrible, horrible company that failed to deliver the flowers I sent for my grandmother's funeral. Shame on this company for preying on the tragedy and generosity of others.

The food quality is there but the delivery is unreliable. Two gift baskets, both for Sympathy, were embarrassingly late. The first one, we weren't even notified. They don't offer anything for the inconvenience unless you mention it. This is not good customer service. They used to be reliable. I know about covid, snow, etc, but it had already snowed when we ordered, and not a peep when ordering about "anticipated delays."
David and Harry is fantastic. Not many companies have the personal touch with dealing with their customers. Many companies have automated service but Harry and David offer customer service and you get to talk to a live person. It was great and Grace was fantastic. She was able to get answers to my questions. Thank you. I will never order from another site. No one can compete with Harry and David's products or service.

Ordered on mon. Paid 2 day shipping for a gift. I wanted it to arrive by Monday for someone's anniversary. I checked FedEx fri, it was never shipped. I called Harry and David, they said they didn't know what happened & never notified me. If I had been notified I would have ordered elsewhere. Their response was to offer me a 20% off coupon as if I would order from them again.
I will be very cautious before ordering again from this company. I placed an order on 2/3/22 for Valentine's Day for my husband and they guaranteed delivery between February 9th-14th. I chatted with someone on 2/14/22 and they assured me it would deliver by end of day. It is now 2/16/22 and still NO package has been delivered. Their items are expensive so they should do better with the quality of service. I will consider ordering from a different company in the future. They did refund my money but they still can't tell me where my package is... so much for that Valentine's gift!
My son ordered a gift for me for Christmas! It was apparently damaged during delivery so never received. They did not have the curtesy to let him no! He asked if I received and I said "no"! He would not have ever know it had never been delivered. They told him "we will send a replacement but it will be December 30th"!
Well I got it but what they sent was two bottles of bubbly wine which was the cheapest most horrid wine ever! We had to pour it out. Probably worth about $3 bucks! They are the worst on line crap ever!
I ordered Christmas dinner on 12/12 with a delivery date of 12/23. I called them on 12/21 because I had not received a email about be shipped. The person I talked to said it shipped and was on schedule to arrive on time. I 12/23 I talked to them again because my food had not showed up, and after talking to 3 different people I found out that they had lied to me and had not shipped my food until 12/23. The didn't when of if my package was going to be delivered before Christmas. Now the person I talked to said I was going to have to wait until my package was either considered lost or showed up before I could get a refund. I will never shop at this place again.
I placed my order in advance so it would arrive before 02-14-2022. I also placed another order with a different vendor that used FedEx as well. The Harry and David order had incorrect shipping info all through the shipping period. The order did not arrive and then when I contacted Harry and David through their virtual chat portal, no update could be provided as they did not have a tracking number. I requested a refund and then they asked to resend the order. I expressed my disappoint and then the virtual chat responded responded that the customer review will be passed on to their customer which is Harry and David. Next time I will buy a gift from a different vendor.
This is my first time seeing Harry & David. One of my Venders stopped by with the $49.00 dollar stacked boxes. I went through all the boxes with the different treats in them. Not one of the box was empty or have full. I am eating the Premium Mixed Nuts and I'm shocked with how much is in this little pack. Like I said, I never heard of you guys but I will be ordering from you in the future to come. Everything is so good!

I'm outraged that person sending me a gift has been snookered by Harry David. If you pay a premium price then you should receive value in return. I'm of the opinion that Harry and David is not held accountable because much of the sales comes from gifting rather than direct purchase. If you purchase something directly you could see the value in it, if your purchase is delivered to a third party there's no quality control over the value. I complained to the company directly and they offered to send me consolation prize of six p e a r s. I would like to send the basket back to them because the alternative is throwing it in the garbage.
Costumer service sucks! Don't follow their own guarantee or stand by it. My friends & I were very disappointed in the products without satisfaction. Even the supervisor wouldn't even get on the phone.

Answer: In the past this company offered excellent quality products--albeit a bit overpriced. Now the price is the same (or higher) but the quality has definitely gone downhill. Not sure if the company was bought out or what, but... I will never order from them again. They have done permanent damage to their reputation and their customer base is eroding quickly.
Answer: Why do you think any of these reviews have anything to do with Politics? That's pretty crazy assumption. My basket was 2 weeks late and that is not Political. It's facts.

Answer: It isn't difficult to reach them via phone, just be prepared for hold times. I would definitely recommend calling them rather than email, the email correspondence I had with them was hopeless.
