I had about 8 receipts around the time they were doing Gymbucks and I wanted to combine them to get my Gymbucks reward and they said NO. The qualifying purchase had to be on one receipt.
Also ordered something in the store online at the cash register and the cashier charged my credit card 3 times. Then said I had to wait 8-10 business days to get a refund!

Canadians stay AWAY
November 9, 2016

After bein charged almost double compared to what I agreed to pay. I was surprised when the items got delivered I paid an extra $70 in taxes. This site is a rip off shame on them for all the hidden fees and surprises. Smh

I have NEVER had a hassle-free shopping experience with Gymboree online, whether there's a huge sale going on or not. The site NEVER works properly while checking out. Just placed about ten items twice in the shopping cart and when I tried checking out, there was nothing in the cart. I always end up spending too much of my precious time just trying to order some clothes. It's so annoying having to deal with this every single time! You also cannot use merchandise credits on their site, how archaic!

Mostly positive for quality of product. Size never seems true to other manufacturers but mostly shipping is way overpriced or SLOW SLOW SLOW... Really? You want me to pay big bucks to ship a shirt for a little kid that already cost 18.96? Does that even seem reasonable? Or I can choose to wait 10 days? Have you EVER told a child to wait?

Same experience as others from Canada. Hope I had read these reviews earlier. The currency doesn't show as USD until you have paid. The custom duties are not mentioned anywhere. Moreover they ship via DHL until Canadian border and then move over to Canada Post which also charged extra $10 for the same!

Absolute crap. Never buying anything from Gymboree!

I would give them 0 stars but I can't. On their site they say they use local currency but do not explain that it is in USD currency so there were extra costs for exchanging CAD dollars to USD dollars. Something I really was not expecting. They also hide the duty charges, even though on their website they said they would be calculated when you check out your cart... I had to contact their customer service department, and that's when they explained everything. Why couldn't they just have it all explained in their FAQs page on international purchasing and shipping instead of misleading and upsetting customers by saying "making international shipping easier because all prices are in local currency"? Definitely not buying Gymboree clothes again.

If there was a_1000 star revises that would be it. Horrible website, hiden charges of duties and taxes if ordering for Canadá. If I were you I would stay away from this horrible 0 start store. They also lost my package and the vostumer service is the worst nightmare. Please do yourself a favor and DO NOT order anything from them.

Terrible website! Prices go up while items are in the cart, check the final total constantly! Price of item went from $5.99 to $10.00 while in my cart I called CS and was told I would get a price adjustment so I made the purchase and after the purchase went through and I got the order details I was actually charged $16.95 for the item! Even though online it was still saying $10.00! Supposedly I might get a price adjustment the CS Rep said... she submitted a request to the Credit Department but she said she won't know the details of what they will do if anything! This is NOT okay! Terrible website and awful CS!

I love all the products of this brand. I buy must off my daughter and son clothing at Gymboree if I ask them to put something on hold they do it if i ask to call me when they get a product they do it to do a phone purchase they always ready to do anything i ask, so in conclution I am not only happy with their product but also with the customer service at the stores in Calgary AB Canada thanks so much

My in laws bought my twins gift card from the Gymboree site they were sent to my home from the Gymboree Corp. When I went to redeem them the one $50 gift card said MY balance was ZERO I called the company they told me well you did not load the card it is zero.
HMMMM well my in laws was charged $100 for two $50 gift cards and they received only one $50 gift card
We have to call CC company and do a charge back and fight these ppl who absently sent out empty gift card but graciously took $50 from us
I would NEVER trust their online e gift cards they are a total thief! And now I have to spend time fighting them for not doing their job!
I have spent tens of thousands of dollars with this company
VERY DISAPPOINTED Closing my Gymboree VISA and never shopping with them again!
Horrible customer service I think they forgot who pays their bills... THE CUSTOMER
Guarantee failure for their future

I just spent over one hour on the phone with Gymboree customer service trying to get money back from them. I had returned two items in the store that I had ordered online and they failed to refund my sales tax. I called the store first and was told she couldn't help me I would have to call customer service. Customer service tried their best to explain how they had refunded it but he was so confused by it and could not even understand it, which made it impossible for him to make me understand it. He kept me on hold while he kept going back to contact the "credit" department. When I asked to speak with them directly I was told they don't talk to customers. BUYERS BEWARE! Gymboree does not refund sales tax or else they double taxed me and for $3.58 they preferred to tell me they don't care if I am a customer anymore. I will be returning all #325.00 worth of merchandise I just purchased in the last 2 weeks and will never set foot in a Gymboree store again. There are plenty of places to shop for my 4 granddaughters!

I tried using Gymbucks worth over $250 on their website, during the designated time period. During checkout the site locked out numerous times over consecutive days, while their customer service number also had long wait times (over 45 minutes each call). On top of it, the email response from their headquarters indicated I should call back for help, in which I again encountered extended wait times while on hold. It was so inconvenient to try to shop online that the Gymbucks expired and their customer service department could not help in any way. This is absolutely a poorly run business.

Placed a order for over $100, had a pair of shorts in my cart that were removed for being "out of stock" but I didn't catch it until after I placed the order... the next morning the shorts are showing in stock in the size I had in my cart... for $7 more than the previous evening. I called Gymboree but they would not honor the price or add to my order PLUS they said if I wanted to return the shirts I had ordered to match the shorts... I would have to pay the return shipping myself or return to the store... the closest store is 1 1/2 hours drive from me. Gymboree should have a better way of letting people know when something's been removed from their cart... or honor the sale price if it turns out not to be out of stock... so not happy :(

Gymboree is a HUGE SCAM and I will NEVER ORDER FROM THEIR WEBSITE AGAIN! I ordered $250 worth of Christmas gifts on Black Friday. Shipping was very cheap and through FedEx. Usually companies that ship with FedEx pre-pay any customs and duties but Gymboree TRANSFERS DUTIES TO THE CUSTOMER and DOUBLE CHARGES SHIPPING. ALL of the fees associated with your package will get charged AGAIN when you pick it up.

On $250 worth of clothes the fees to pick it up were $109! But it gets worse. I refused the shipment, no way I'm paying $350 for $250 of stuff, and Gymboree DID NOT REFUND MY MONEY.

They took back the merchandise AND ROBBED ME OF $250! This company is a bunch of disgusting lowlife THEIVES and I will NEVER EVER SHOP THERE AGAIN.

Since their CSR's suddenly stopped understanding and speaking English, I can only assume this company that used to have high quality products and representatives decided to stupidly outsource their call center and website order fulfillment. Canada customs told me the charges were so high because they're no longer shipping from California. I've only had duties and shipping this high when I ordered from an Asian country... my guess is they moved the whole operation to India or someplace and expected nobody to notice.

Disgusting, theiving, ILLEGAL behavior!

My package was lost by UPS. They refunded the money (my money) to Gymboree. Have already spent an hour and a half on the phone with them trying to get a refund. Finally, I was told I would get the refund. Well, I didn't receive it. Now I'm back on the phone with Gymboree waiting for a supervisor (who I think doesn't exist) - on hold for 20 minutes and counting! STAY AWAY! LEARN FROM MY MISTAKES!

I have shopped this store now for about 8 years and I could continue to do so for a few more years until my kids outgrow the sizes. However, I'm not sure I will be visiting this store as much as I used to. I have really noticed that the quality of the designs has gone down (less embroidery, more screening) as well as most recently the quality of the fabric and stitching. The fabrics always used to be thick and held up wonderfully to my active kids. In the last batch of clothing I bought from Gymboree, I noticed the fabrics of the tops and the leggings are so THIN like I might find at Kohl's or Target. Not that I'm knocking those stores, I shop there also. But if I'm going to pay Gymboree prices, I expect Gymboree quality. I not seeing it and it's worsening. What is going on? I may need to stop shopping here.

I will never order from them online again. They charged me 6.00 to ship it to me which I messed up on the size so had to try to send back. I understood they where going to take the 6.00 out of my refund for postage. I called three times and each time I got a different tale. If you order online from them be extra sure the size is perfect because to ship back 2 pair of size 7 boys pants will cost you 14.25 ups and 11.25 post office both the very cheapest they can send it for to California. Than they also take your 6.00 out of the return. For 29.00 pants too much. I will never buy from them online again.
