Do not waste your money here. I was initially very excited thinking I was getting a great deal on some cute clothing for my daughter. One of the rompers (Item no. *******) I got (A size bigger than my daughter is) is WAY too small AND is not easy to operate for a 4 year old. It has buttons in the back and no elasticity or slack to pull down to use the restroom. Gymboree wanted $7 to ship it back to get a "refund" on a romper that cost $8.79. I could "go to the store" to return it, but the nearest Gymboree to me is a 35 minute drive there and another 35 back, not including the hassle of being at a mall. An hour and 10 minute drive isn't worth the "refund" either. No other large company operates this way. It's not my fault that their sizing is off and their design is horrendously flawed. I am not normally one to complain, but I am not happy about this and will not be shopping at Gymboree again.
Apparently the Gymboree website wanted me to place a second order 18 hours after my first. It was only for one item (thankfully!) but none the less, they charged my card a second time. I placed my order 6/16/17 and received confirmation right away, awesome! Woke up 6/17/17 to yet ANOTHER confirmation number with a different order number and another charge to my account. I tried calling right away to no avail since they are west coast and I'm on the east coast so I sent an email. They told me that even if I did call when I woke up, it would not have mattered as it enters the shipping stage within an hour after placing an order. The order was supposedly placed at 5 am my time meaning 2 am on the west coast and they didn't open until 10 am my time. Thanks Gymboree for charging my card a second time without my permission!
I went into a Gymboree store in Canada one time to buy something for my newborn baby. They asked me if I wanted to sign up for emails and promotions for their store. I said sure, I have a baby now, sounds like a good idea! Emails come CONSTANTLY. I UNSUBSCRIBE so many times without effect. I FINALLY decide to buy some things online since they are 50% off for spring. Little did I know, this website ad the email deals were ALL American (useless to me), said I got free shipping if I spent a certain amount (so I did), upon checkout said I owed shipping price (so I grunted and paid it) THEN when it arrives am asked to pay ANOTHER $25 for shipping! He sale isn't even worth it anymore! I'm not even picking up the crap. I'm so mad.
My goodness where do I start! Bought 3 pair of lined pants and ripped with in a few weeks, i went back to the store and the rediculous lady in Natick ma mall goes oh it looks like worn out well hello 5 and 6 year old wore what do you expect? It's supposed to be good material that's why it's so enpendive right. Well NEVER EVER will I spend a dime there again and will pass on for gifts of my 3 kids I'll tell everyone not to buy there. Do yourself a favor and go to
Crazy 8 or children's place way better quality!
Let me tell you that the Gymboree website its a total DISASTER, I have never been more disappointed at this company like what I am now. I don't understand what's the point of announcing sales that clients can't get, since I'd been trying to purchase clothes for my kids for over two weeks! Every time I add items to my bag, and every time they disappear from my bag! I'm aware that I'm not the only one with this problem because I went to the store and other two ladies were complaining about it too! What an awful service online a complete waist of time to even look at anything on your Gymboree website!
I ordered baby clothes on December 13th to use as a Christmas gift, and paid an absurd $21 USD in express shipping costs just to ensure that they arrived on time. Well the items didn't even ship until after Christmas despite their guarantee. I emailed them several times to check on the order with no response until January, and tried calling but could not even get through. I finally got them and shipped them back for a refund and had to pay my own shipping fees even though it was their fault. And now I just received a $30 Fedex bill ($30!) for duties on the items they shipped to me, even though their website states in 3 different sections that the duties are already included and there will be NO additional landing costs. What a scam. Now I'm out $40 and wasted 1.5 months sorting this crap out.
I bought leggings at the outlet store and realized when I got home that the legs were very uneven... by more than 2 inches. I contacted costumer service and was told that they were unwilling to replace the pants via mail, nor could I exchange them at my local retail store, but that I had to drive BACK to the outlet to ask for an exchange. That's over an hour away and not a trip I'm willing to make with three kids to exchange one pair of leggings.
I emailed with three separate representative, Monica, Cecilia, and Mary Ann, and instead of addressing the questions I was asking (ie, can I get a refund? Can I get a store credit or gift card in the amount that I paid? Can I have another pair of leggings in the same size sent to me?), each representative only cut and paste what the previous person had said: that exchanges can only be made in the Gymboree Outlet Store. I understand that, which is why I was providing alternative resolutions. I suppose I was expected to examine the pants while I was at the store to ensure the legs were the same length? Is this something responsible shoppers typically do, with children in tow, no less? I guess I will just ask my daughter to walk lopsided. Thanks for your help, Gymboree.
We placed an order on 12/12 and paid for "express" shipping. Their express shipping is 5 days which is ridiculous. But what makes it worse I called on the 20th since it still hadn't received our order... I waited over 45 minutes to talk to someone. Their response was we just processed your order and that's why it hasn't been received. What was suppose to be my 2 year old daughters Christmas present now won't be here until the 29th maybe! This place is a piece of s**t and will NEVER order from here again and will definitely not recommend any to order from here.
I placed an order 12/10 for Christmas gifts. I checked the status on 12/19 because every other package I ordered online had already arrived, including one from England. The site said my order was still "processing". Since it was after hours, I sent an email as their site instructed. Now it is 11 days since I placed the order, and it still says "processing". I just called and waited 25 minutes listening to their recording to no avail. I can't even get a response!
Please, if you are even thinking about ordering online from Gymboree, Janie and Jack or Crazy 8's all owned by the same horrific company DON"T! You will regret it! You will never receive your items, you may receive wrong items and your card may be charged numerous times to boot! Ha, what a joke of a once stellar company. Obviously, everything has changed.
Ordered two items on 12/13/16 because their site was still advertising guaranteed delivery before Christmas. So I figured they would ship my items right away... nope. Just received an email yesterday that my items shipped... 7 days after I ordered. Tracking information shows delivery date of 12/27. Thanks Gymboree! Might want to either re-evaluate your shipping department or don't offer guaranteed deliveries before Christmas if you can't keep your promise. Never shopping here again.
I ordered on Dec. 1st and my order took almost two weeks to ship. I emails many times regarding the order and they never responded. Their customer service line never answers. I sent an email on Dec. 10th to cancel my order. They shipped my order on Dec. 13, and responded to my email on Dec. 14th stating it was too late to cancel because the order has shipped. Tracked the order that was stated to arrive Dec. 14th... it is now Dec. 16th and I still do not have my order!
My mother-in-law purchased a $100 gift card for my daughter's first birthday. The card was misplaced and after some back and forth, Gymboree committed to reissuing the card - we were told my mother-in-law should expect the reissue by email within 10 days. Alas, after a month of radio silence, I called back and after waiting on hold for 42 minutes, was told the card now cannot be reissued. If you want good customer service, go elsewhere!
Wanted to check on an order that was place over 2 weeks ago, have been waiting on hold for 49 minutes. Will never shop here again
The customer service is the worst I have ever seen in my life. I was a really faithful costumer as I do think that they have some cute things specially for boys, which sometimes is hard to find. But is not worth the hassle. I placed an order on Nov 25th, I even rushed as they state on their webpage that orders before noon EST will be placed 1-2 business days. Well... that's a LIE. It's been a week and the order hasn't left the warehouse. Customer service doesn't reply my emails. They only replied the first one pretty much stating oh well. Deal with it. This is holidays delayed.
Also I reviewed one of their products that I didn't like. Guess what. As it was one star, they didn't publish it and I got an email saying that it had to be moderate. Really shady company. Too sad.
Gymboree is my favorite store for baby clothing! They're adorable! Love!
I am fed up with this company. They customer service is 0. And all you can here from them I AM SORRY but we can't do anything. At the store it's no better they are horrible with kids. I place an other and Nov 25 and it's still not process. Why have online special and you can't meet up with your shipping. Don't do sale if it's too much to handle
Based on many reviews and on my own experience we, customers, left to do only one thing: DO NOT buy from Gymboree. Lets spend our money at other stores until they wake up.
Here my experience: On 11/17/2016 I ordered an e-card that should be delivered instantly via e-mail for my grandson's birthday.
When I checked my order online on 11/18 (actual birthday date) and noticed status Submitted, I called customer service hoping that they will be able to push order through. I asked if anything is wrong with my order.
Representative talked like robot saying we are sorry for your inconvenience many times without able to do anything. He just told me to wait for verification that might take another day.
When on 11/19 e-card did not arrived and status was still Submitted, I called again. I got to talk to different robot this time, but with the same result. I tried hard to get any human response and understand what I might did wrong, but I did not hear anything new and was told to waiting for this mysterious verification process.
On 11/21 I got an e-mail: We regret to inform you that our system experienced difficulty completing your recent order #******* and it has been cancelled.
On my next call I got to talk to a supervisor, but all she was able to offer me for my inconvenience (not getting a gift for my first grandson- is more than inconvenience) is to place another order for a traditional gift card with waived ship fee.
Well, I would not have to pay this fee anyway if they would process and order correctly. She did not show any interest in keeping me as customer (I told her that I have 3 grand-kids) and did not give me any explanation why they could not fix the issue after my first or second call.
So, now my grand-kids will have their presents from other stores.
And one more thing: notice that there are no responses from Gymboree to complains on this site. They are really do not care.
I made an order and every time I went back to my shopping cart the sizes were wrong so I had to do it over and over again till it finally got it right, and they still messed up my order, wrong quantity and sizes and the one that they got the size wrong they sent me two of, and I have to pay for their mistake, I could send them back but the shipping cost just as much as the shirts, so I ended up paying for items that I didn't even order, plus taxes and duties on things that I didn't even order and the only thing that they could do for me is waive my shipping fee for the next order. The only reason that they are getting even 1 is I can't give them a zero
Not only did I have to pay duty (which is understandable from US) when I picked it up from the post office, it also had an additional administration fee from DHL for collecting the duty. There is no mention of either fee on their website.
So when you get that great deal, be prepared to be scammed and add an additional 40% on your bill. Not such a great deal is It?
I won't be ordering ever again.
