Placed an order on line and 5 days later they drop the price. Called customer service to do price adjustment as any other store will do BUT they refused!
I ordered two dresses online from gymboree. I waited for the order only to receive one dress. I called customer service and the woman Amanda told me that unfortunately the warehouse made a mistake and only shipped out one item and that the item is no longer available. This is ridiculous! It's also bad for business! I doubt I'll be dealing with this company anymore. I've never had a problem with any other companies when ordering online.
I've been using this site for my kids, and here is my advice for getting the biggest savings: 1) If this is your first order you can get 25% on your order. Click this link to shop Gymboree and get 25% off! 2) You will be eligible for free shipping. Crazy Deals up to 70%! By the way the shipping speed and customer service are both excellent. In the year that I have been using them I have never had a problem that they have not resolved to my satisfaction. http://share-gymboree.com/x/ggGTtQ
I had a very disappointing experience with Gymboree. I placed an order and cancelled it on line immediately since it never registered on my iphone and I assumed it didn't go through. Ten minutes later, after I re-ordered on my laptop, the confirmation for both orders appeared! I called the next morning to reconfirm my phone cancellation for the first order and I was assured that this had been done. Two weeks and several unproductive emails later, I unexpectedly received an email saying that my order HAD NOT been cancelled. The charges for the original iphone order had already posted but the order had not yet appeared. Cancelled? Not cancelled? The whole experience was a real waste of time and I still don't have trustworthy information about the order. The lesson for me is never deal with Gymboree again. Customer service representatives are ill- trained and and all that this implies. With so many other well-run children's clothing businesses why bother patronizing Gymboree.
I have been a customer of Gymboree for 15 years and have been extremely pleased with the level of service and the style and quality of clothing for in store purchases. With the addition of twin boys this Spring we decided to make purchase online as we thought it would be easier than taking all our family shopping and would be easier to pick up two of everything!
Our online shopping experience has been less that satisfying! We cannot reach anyone either by phone or online after making attempts for over a week regarding a purchase that has not been delivered to us. Unfortunately the purchase was for Christmas clothing and this is time sensitive. We had a photo shoot scheduled and of course the clothing did not arrive.
I stayed on the line for over 40 minutes one day trying to reach someone... not easy when you have twin boys only 6 months old. Clothing stores that cater to young families should keep in mind the demands and needs of their clients... this company has not. Not being able to reach anyone to speak to has been incredibly frustrating. When a mistake happens you should be able to reach customer service to resolve the matter. It works that way with pottery barn, RH baby and kids... pretty much any company I have ordered from... NOT this company.
I would not recommend their online store to anyone. After this experience I don't think I even want to walk into their stores!
I have 4 children and all of my kids have grown up in Gymboree. I have always loved the wonderful quality I received when I bought their products. My kids could even have hand me downs from my oldest to youngest because the quality and material would hold up so well. Over the last 2 years, their quality has gone from excellent to poor. They used to embroider majority of their clothing. Now they use screen print like you would find at Walmart or Target and (those places have better looking quality compared to this) and the clothing falls apart after one wash even on the gentlest cycle! I do not and will not buy from them until they change their manufacturer. Their products stink right now! I do buy their older (vintage) clothing online now for my kids on multiple sites. Those are the clothes that I grew to love and will always cherish!
Gymboree used to put out really cute and GREAT quality clothing. The quality has really gone down hill along with the style. Almost everything is now screen print opposed to where they used to embroider things. The shirts are always white, no color anymore for girls/little girls. I love this store and keeping holding my breath hoping for an improvement to the way they used to make things but it just seems to get worse and myself and many of my other friends find ourselves shopping other places now.
I used to swear by Gymboree clothes. I have children, age 7-2. Gymboree almost consistently has styles that are age appropriate for my kids, but the quality in recent months has not been what I would expect. Graphic t-shirts, especially for my girls, are sometimes very tight. The fabric has no give and wears poorly. Other times the shirts are beautiful and wear well.
The biggest disappointment has been their boy's uniform pants with nanotek reinforced knees. I have had several pair rip just below the knee. I bought 3 pair around Christmas time and by the end of February they all were ripped.
I was a loyal Gymboree customer since my son was born in 2007. I have spent thousands of dollars on clothing for my 2 kids and pretty much was a Gymboree addict. I would shop every season and try and earn and spend Gymbucks like crazy. The quality was superb and the clothing was the cutest around... until about 2 years ago. :( What was once high quality, soft 100% cotton knits has recently been replaced with stiff and cheap cotton blends. I was once so impressed with the details such as velvety soft appliques and embroidery. Now most things are screen printed with some kind of glittery cheap paint. In addition, the sizing is very inconsistent and has been changed drastically. Most things fit more narrow and long these days. So if you have a very thin and tall toddler it might work for you. But for my average sized children, the tops are tighter and sleeves are too long, which is not great since the material is now stiff and pretty much has no give to it. I know for a fact that sizing has changed because I have received hand me downs from friends and family, as well as purchased older lines on Ebay. Those all fit my kids and are true to size. Within the past 2 years, I have purchased from Gymboree in hopes that their quality would go back to what it once was. About 80% of the time I have just ended up disappointed and had to return the items I purchased. In a nutshell, one should expect more trendy, but lower quality items when purchasing from Gymboree these days. Think Walmart, Old Navy, or The Children's Place at Gap prices. If you are looking for more high quality, comfortable cotton items that will last, I would suggest places such as Carter's, Mini Boden, Hanna Anderson, or The Gap.
My little miss always looks so cute in this clothing line. It's not that expensive. We've purchased items in size newborn to 3T thus far. I'm not usually into some of the themed clothing Gymboree offers, but every once in a while I find something oh so cute.
