Guest Reservations advertised a specific room type at a particular location, secured payment for this room and location and then was completely unwilling to cancel the reservation without penalty after learning that the room they advertised and secured payment for was not available. Strongly recommend against doing business with this company, as they are engaged in fraud.
Purposely make their website appear to be that of the hotel you are trying to book with. Once you hit submit you see that you're charged an exorbitant fee that wasn't disclosed prior to booking. Then when I tried to cancel the reservation ten minutes after making it so I could book directly through the hotel, they were going to keep one full day's worth of the hotel stay (~$200). Kept the reservation as is. Stay the hell away from Guest Reservations as if they have the plague. Total garbage company, nothing but scammers and bottom feeders.

My review is simply an echo of all the others! How do we get these people out of business? Website looks like hotel website. Booked room and then was charged 40% in taxes and fees which can't be seen! Feel like total idiot! Then tried to cxl and was told non- refundable. ZERO customer service! 76 years old and one of worst experiences of my life!
I agreed to a 200$ charge over the…
I agreed to a 200$ charge over the phone (including taxes and surcharges). They got my email wrong, so I never got a confirmation of the cost. The Thursday following my stay I was charged 40$ over the amount they told me, which equates to 70$$ in surcharges! Why would anyone agree to a "low rate" hotel room and then get charged the equivalent of another night stay. Garbage customer service, they just out source their billing to another company who won't do a thing about it because its not there fault.
I erroneously booked a hotel room for a traveling nurse through Guest Reservations and in addition to up charging the room, I had to displeasure of contacting their customer service line to cancel the room due to the nurse becoming ill. I had to wait on hold for an abnormally long time and had to defend my case vigorously just to get the room cancelled and a refund. Please avoid this company at all cost and book through the hotel directly or use a more reputable company.
This hotel booking site is a complete scam. They do everything they can to try to fool customers into thinking you are booking with the hotel - you are not! The so-called reservations are bogus. What's worse is when this fly-by-night company requests a credit card number to "hold the reservation", they immediately charge for the entire booking - even in my case where the reservation was for 6 months away. If you've gone this far, you're too late! They will not refund the charge even if you try to cancel the reservation. When you call them to discuss and if you are lucky enough to get someone who speaks English, it's of no use. They will simply lie, cheat, and steal. Just try asking to speak to a supervisor and they will hang up on you. Bottom line is if you see anywhere on the site the name "Guest Reservations" with a logo that looks like a call bell - RUN AWAY!

I made a reservation for me an my husband I hay to cancel the reservation and I did in a 24 hour window. I called to find out when the mine was going to be refunded. They said that they can not refund. Please be careful.
Bella, we’re sorry you had that experience. Customer satisfaction is our priority, and we would like to help. To keep your information secure, please DM us your reservation # and we will respond with the next steps. Thank you.
I am so disapointed that I have to pay extra charges that was not clear in booking. Is this really legal?
NEVER use them - and please warn others about them.
They should really be ashamed of their criminal behavior!
Watch out for the $150 service charge! This is not made clear when booking. Honestly I don't know how these people sleep at night. They also display the currency in tiny font in the top right corner of the page, so you might think it is showing local currency for the hotel (and the price quoted looks right for that currency) when actually its your home currency, which is how I ended up paying twice what it would have cost to book directly with the hotel. They cancelled my booking but then refused to refund me and I had to book again (and pay again) directly with the hotel. I can't believe I was scammed so badly, I'm normally pretty careful. Avoid this company!
I wouldn't give them any stars except you cannot post this without it. I hope this deters people from having the same poor experience I did... lesson learned... read hotel sites very carefully as this looked like it was a hotel service! It is nothing more than a scam. They tell you to respond to an email that they don't send. They do not follow up on changes as they say they will. They say they cannot get through to the hotel.
They do know how to charge your card though... they appear legit but certainly are giving hotels a bad name.
I would not recommend Guest Reservations for anything! I made a reservation for a hotel but when it was confirmed it was wrong. I immediately tried (by Chat) to contact the company…. Not to get a refund but to add the missing date on the confirmation. The company promised to respond within 24 hours. 30 hours later I tried to call the listed number since I had gotten no response. The recorded message told me my "wait time" to talk to an agent was under two minutes. 38 minutes later I hung up and called again. One hour and 4 minutes later I hung up. Now, 2 days later I still have confirmation of the wrong dates for my hotel. $371 down the tube!

I made a reservation through their website and they charged me for a service of 50 euros when the room cost 130 euros almost 40%. On the hotel website as well as in the booking there was only a cost of city tax of 2 euros per night. I feel robbed. I certainly did not order from them again and I also suggest you do not order from this site
I booked a hotel reservation on what appeared to be the hotel website. Found a reservation for $134/night and only upon submitting did I see another $100 charged to my account for "fees". I immediately called/emailed the company to cancel within minutes of reserving only to be told it's non-refundable, no cancellation.
Frustrated, I knew I was scammed. A few weeks later, I needed to modify the reservation by 1 day, moving from Fri-Sun to Sat-Sun. After back and forth with both the hotel and this awful company neither could assist me. It is a complete scam and terrible customer service. DO NOT USE. Book directly with the hotel website and look carefully to make sure it's not this deceitful company.
guestreservations.com is a continuation of the old hotelvalues rip-off site. They were too stupid to change their email return address. DO NOT USE. They don't allow cancellations and sneak fees of 40% a night onto the bill. How they get away with it is beyond me. Avoid.
Hi Virgil, we are sorry you had this experience. Just like when you book through a hotel directly, Guest Reservations must charge its customers for all applicable taxes, including any hotel taxes. Additionally, by charging a service fee for all of its reservations, we are able to offer 24/7 customer support and operate as an independent travel network. Guest Reservations conspicuously discloses all fees and taxes on its checkout summary webpage, asking customers to check a box acknowledging these before they enter their payment information. Despite our transparency, we remain concerned about your experience. Please provide us your reservation # and the email address used at purchase and we will respond with the next steps. Thank you.
This website leads you to believe you are booking through the hotel website. They offer a very competitive rate, then after you agree to the terms and conditions and go to check out the bill nearly doubles. I booked a room for $84 and you don't see the total until after you pay. My grand total was $133... they state tax, service fee etc... when I went directly to the hotel website for the same room my grand total was $90. I then went to cancel my reservation and of course, it was non refundable per the terms and agreements you have to click to get to the checkout. This is a total scam and they hide everything making you believe you are booking directly through the hotel. There are several BBB complaints siting the same issue. Do yourself a favor and STAY AWAY!
I reserved a room for $57 and got charged an extra $27 in taxes and fees without warning until the reservation was complete. The lady at the desk T Days Inn Barstow CA said "yes we have a warning on our computer saying guestreservations.com is a scam".
I booked a hotel with Guest Reservations, thinking I was on the official Holiday Inn Express site. It has similar logos, photos, etc. After entering my credit card information, I clicked the button labeled "complete registration" right below the card information and it immediately processed the payment. I expected a page that would allow me to actually complete the registration. According to their payment terms, the credit card will be charged after "submitting the reservation request ". I did not submit a reservation request, but was charged anyway. Instead, a $142 fee was added to the $278 hotel cost, for a total of $421. I called immediately and was told there are no refunds. After calming down, I called back and canceled the reservation. I've now been told that the reservation can't be reinstated and the $421 won't be refunded. I've paid $421 and get absolutely nothing. Not sure how this is legal. It's certainly dishonest. What kind of company takes $421 from a customer and provides absolutely nothing. This company is based in the Philippines and goes by guest reservations, get-a-room and Priceline. They said that the hotel will not refund the money. After talking directly to the hotel manager, they haven't been paid anything, so they can't refund a payment they haven't received. The actual hotel policy is to refund up to 24 hours from check in. This company lies, cheats, and steals. They intend to keep 100% of the $421 fee, not just the $142 in taxes. Do not use these crooks under any circumstances.

SCAM COMPANY. If I could give 0 stars, I would. In an emergency-stay situation, called the number that was listed alongside a Super 8 online entry as the number for reservations. After a LOT of fast talk, with me repeating back what I understood, I booked one night at $117 supposedly. THIS was the number I repeated and had confirmed by the agent The amount charged was double that, with the room price listed as $169, the rest in service charges. The online listed fee for the type of room at this property is/was $99. TOTAL RIPOFF. Filed a case with them... after followup from me-- never contacted by them-- they said they would issue a 10% refund. Not nearly the amount of the overcharge but apparently meant to appease. I am still awaiting that refund--they said it could take up to five days. We shall see. SCAM

I just stayed this last week in Carmel, Indiana. I felt safe and received excellent customer service through the entire week, especially from Katina, Tracy, and Wayne. Thank you! Kelly

This website is an absolute scam. I needed to change the dates of my trip due to my handicapped Dad not having enough medication to keep him alive during the trip. I called one week before the booking date, and they told me the hotels cancellation policy was a week and a half and they would not be able to refund me. So I call the hotel directly, that is absolutely not true, they have a 24 hour cancellation policy. The worst part about this - is they asked for my Dad's prescriptions as proof that he was indeed ill. This man has had two strokes and a heart attack. They still refused to refund me after lying about the hotels cancellation policy and basically refused to let me speak to anyone else. I'm not a Karen but this is probably the most asinine request I've ever heard of. On top of all that, they charge about $80 in random service fees that are complete BS. Save yourself time, money, and a headache and book with the hotel directly DO NOT BOOK WITH THIS SERVICE!
