Be prepared to wait a long time for a refund if you need to return an item. Within minutes of an email confirmation I tried to cancel an order and I was told that u would have to wait to get the item and then return it to get my money back, which I was told could take up to 3-4 weeks! Very poor Customer Service. Unable to reach anyone by phone to discuss. I would not/ will not recommend Groupon to anyone
The chat is horrible and the experience. I used to live on Groupon and recommend to so many. The last few years I have just used for travel. I will no longer use nor recommend for either. Find deals locally direct!
Maybe all of the complaints have made a difference in their customer service because I ordered a blouse on Monday, 7/19 and recieved it Thursday, 7/22. This was my first purchase and I love the blouse.
I would advise everyone NOT to use this website. This is due to the fact that their customer service is appalling. I bought a great deal which was a coupon to buy an item and then I had to pay the company supplying the product, the postage fees. I did not receive the item! After many attempts to contact and email both the company and Groupon, I was forced to dispute both payments on Paypal. The other company refunded the postage to me straight away and Groupon is still ignoring my emails and has not refunded the money to me yet. (it has been 5 weeks already)
Purchased a massage through Groupon and had trouble getting hold of the merchant to schedule my massage. Tried 4-5 times over a 5 month period. Got Groupon involved and they could not get merchant to respond. Groupon's answer? They gave me 24 hours to use a credit for the amount I purchased the massage for. I was not available and didn't get my email until 24 hours had lapsed. Then Groupon would not respond to my email.
Addictive. Great deals. I have ordered several items from groupon and only one of those i waited for several weeks to ship even though i paid for 2-3 day shipping. So i waiting a good ttwomonths before contacting groupon themselves. But as soon as i did within 24 hours i got responses asking whats going on and if i would like for them to contact seller or refund my money or asking did i want a credit. As soon as i told them my preferred method my credit was on my groupon account within 72 hours. The only thing i do have to say though is to make sure you read everything when it comes to false advertisements on jewelry. Alot do say gold or silver then you click on link and read about it and it is only just plated. But the website itself is fantastic i give it 4 out of 4 stars. Great deals. Lots of great offers. Ive even gone on vacation with groupon offers and had no problems at all. Also very easy to redeem
Had multiple problems with receiving groupon that you can use at the vendor. Can't get in touch with anybody. So deleted the app and protested the charges on my checking account. Get your act togeather Groupon.
Worst website/company ever. You can never get a hold of them. They have no way on contacting them via phone. You can only email them and they never ever ever help resolve any issues. All they say is "sorry we can't help." I ordered 2 separate packages on 2 separate occasions. Both having nothing to do with the other and they both never got to me. Not only did I never receive the package, GROUPON STOLE MY MONEY! They charged me and I never got the product. And their answer to me, was to dispute the charge on my credit card... they are $#*!ing horrible. Plus their products are so cheap. It's never the same as the products you buy at the actual store or the actual retail website. DONT USE THEM EVER.
Okay, well my experience is a little different. I have used Groupon about a dozen times, mostly for restaurant deals. I have been satisfied every time, and I did not hear any gripes or experience any "upselling" from the restaurants. I did have a problem once with a one-night hotel stay I bought - basically the hotel had no availability for the Groupon deal for any night I tried to reserve - so I finally called Groupon. They were very helpful - they gave me a refund, though only in Groupon bucks. I didn't mind that, since a bit of time had passed since I bought the deal and since I do buy regularly from Groupon. I have had occasion to call Groupon a couple of times, and they have always been prompt, courteous and helpful. Now as for Living Social, that is a total nightmare - stay away!
Groupon.com or. Ca is not worth your savings when you buy them you usually don't use them or the location is far away from your area... you will never get you money back its already gone to the stockbrokers.
Ordered 2 pair of swim trunks, 1 pair was listed at $8.00, the 2nd pair listed as free when you pay for shipping. My bill total was $15.23, plus $5.99 shipping. I received order and got one pair of swim trunks. The invoice showing 2 pair disappeared. The pair I received came from China and quality wise, probably worth $2.00. Please be careful ordering from Groupon goods. There is no live customer service to speak of. Stay away from Groupon!
Absolutely horrible! I will never shop again on this site. I shop mostly on internet, and this site is the worst I've bought from. Bought two dresses, both were eligible for return for 14 days since the day they were shipped. Dresses were shipped on the 17th of february, I got them on the 22nd. When I tried to initiate a return it said that the dresses were no longer eligible for that! I don't believe there are 14 days between 17th and the 22nd of february! Wrote number of emails, and NO response!
On another occasion, I've ordered a cardigan, and they sent me a sweater instead! When I contacted customer service via email I got no response again. Today I ordered shoes, when I went to pay for them, suddenly my shopping cart became empty, and now it shows that they all reserved. How is it possible?! I will never shop again on this site, and would never again recommend it to anybody. What a shame.

Groupon is good until you have a customer service issue. Then they just like to talk in circles and never solve the issue. They sound like robots reading a screen and unwilling to actually work towards resolving the issue.
I love me some Groupon but seriously, read ALL the fine print and ask questions before you buy. If you do you should have no issues. I've gotten some awesome deals with Groupon and I love the local feature.
I purchased an SD card that was defective and since the 14 days had passed they refused a return. I understand a regular return but if a product is defective that may not always be apparent within 14 days.
Bought a laptop from group on... its been 20 days still no laptop... and it said it was shipped and delivered. So I contacted seller... and she never answered... Total emails 3 and I got an email asking how are we doing... they never answered me... so I looked in my group on box and it is not even available yet... wtf... and come to find out its from 3rd party which is NOT in the fine print... asked for refund NO response... They had a box down below for similar laptop. But they are more expensive than the one I paid for... wtf... I dont think so... first and last time user... lost money on a laptop I will never receive...
I ordered tickets to see Beauty and the Beast in Clearwater FL. After 2 days I called to say I had not received vouchers. I was told by their rep that they had run out of tickets before my card processed too bad so sad. I checked my card had not been charged I was angry, but what could I do Now in my expired vouchers are 4 tickets to Beauty and the Beast. I called and emailed and all I get is the same old robot response that they were only refundable on day of performance. Since I was told I had no ticket, how could I refund them? I asked for credit with groupon same robot response. They act as though they can't read the part that states your agent told me I had no ticket.
I ordered some items since Dec 28th and they were to be shipped by Jan 7th. The website now shows pending shipment. I sent emails, I tried the live chat 3 times during the weekend and each time, I get to the front of the line, a message comes up that there is no one to talk to. This is such a disappointment. It is my first and last time ordering from them.
I bought a Dyson on Groupon. Groupon told me to go through the warranty I got with it. I only had 14 days to return. I called Dyson and they sent me a part. That did not work. Called Dyson again told me to take it in to a shop that they paid for, vacuum still did not work. Called Dyson again and had it shipped to their techs in Washington, got it back and it still did not work. Told Groupon that their 14 day return policy was garbage. It took longer than 14 days to get the first part. And asked for refund. Groupon again told me to contact Dyson. Asked Groupon to speak to one of their supervisor 3 days ago, still have not heard back. Received an email saying my 14 days was up... no kidding. Very unhappy with Groupon and Dyson... WILL NOT BUY AGAIN!
I ordered two bottles of Hemplucid from Groupon because their price was 50% cheaper than what I usually pay.
I received the two bottles quickly but noticed right away that there was no CBD in the gummy bears. I called Groupon and I have no idea how I got them on the telephone but they offered no solution but a $5 credit on the $127 price that I paid. I googled Groupon reviews to see what was going on and noticed that they had already been charged with selling fake goods. Pathetic and no customer service. Stay away
Answer: Yes, Groupon is legit. You need to read the fine print before ordering live event tickets- -they will not refund your money even if it's there fault. I only buy tickets for activities that don't expire or you can use the purchase price towards a non-Groupon service the vendor offers. Hope this helps.

They will lie, they literally told me customer service reps were out sick, thus no answer to my emails for about 2 weeks. But, don't loose hope, the DAY I posted a review on this site, they answered AND gave me a 25.00 credit for my trouble. So write a review on Site Jabber with all the details and a bet a manager will answer promptly. As this is their way, I NEVER ordered from the site again after at least 3 years of orders.
