Ive always had a problem with groupon when it comes to buying products on their website. They almost always send me the wrong size or is missing something important.
Their returns policy is absolutely bull too
They said that postage is paid for but that's also a lie because the parcel points and Auspost forced me to buy a box (which I barely have money for wasting on a box)
Scammed me!
I cannot place ALL the blame for Groupon because of this but I will see how much more I will go into my frustration if they don't provide my refund. I bought my first Groupon today and it was for "A&W Massage". I tried to call and schedule an appointment. They did not answer their phone ALL DAY! When they did it was 2pm. It was supposed to close at 5pm but they told me they were closing early and basically... "oh well!" I'm pissed! Did you really forget your deal was posted for today! Who does that? They really missed out on a potential customer because of that.
I ordered some bracelets for my mom and sister for Mother's Day, 3 to be exact, and only 1 of them came in. The status online says it was delivered, but they weren't. And customer service says that I can't get a replacement or refund for the 2 bracelets my mom and sister never got. They weren't expensive, but it's all I could afford for them. I will never shop on Groupon again.
I purchased an auto service coupon on Groupon. I went to use it, but the rate the business charged was unreasonably high. So I decided to return the coupon back to Groupon and get my money back. However, their terrible return policy made it impossible to get a refund when I was not satisfied with the transaction. Apparently, their return period is three days. THREE DAYS! Who uses up their coupon/giftcard within a three-day window?! And I was not aware of this policy until I called them. Extremely displeased with Groupon and their awful return policy. One of the worst return policies I have ever encountered.
I've used them quite a few times and never had a problem. I've saved a lot of money and discovered some great businesses due to Groupon reviews. Of course, I always look at the reviews on the site before buying the Groupon.
Groupon is amazing! I have gotten so many great deals, that whenever I want to go out to eat, I just buy a groupon so I can save money and venture out to new restaurants. I wanted to give Groupon a GREAT review b/c I recently emailed them asking for a store credit for a $49 facial i bought a month ago. I didn't read the fine print which said,"only for new customers." I got a facial from this business about 10 mos ago so when I called to make an appointment, i couldn't use it. I emailed groupon with my situation and they immediately gave me $49 in my account. Everything has been 50-90+ % off and all great recommendations. Couldn't live without this website now!
Horrible customer service! 3 weeks later and my order still hasn't shipped.
Update:
I finally received my order after 4 weeks. I had to contact them to find out it had shipped. My product was packaged appropriately and I received exactly what I ordered. Despite that I still will not order from this company again.
The bodum bistro double wall cup 15oz is listed at originally $58 and they are selling for $40... After doing some online research I have yet to find an original price of $58 even on the bodum website the mug goes for $40. So it is a little fishy that their original price is $58, when that price doesn't exist anywhere. I even found them for $40 with a 15% discount on another site... I contacted the chat now crew and the representative was just dismissive, no help at all. I thought ideeli was supposed to be a discounted site with the best prices. Not the original ones..
I purchased a carpet cleaning service through Groupon but I was never able to reach the business to schedule the service. Groupon said someone from the carpet cleaning company would call me within 3 business days but no one called.
Groupon offered some credits towards future Groupon products or services but I declined. I asked for a refund and never heard from Groupon again.
I recommend deleting this app. Read the refund policy as the service is not built to support errors, but to simply take your money. I purchased an MMA class for two of us and when brought to the MMA class was informed that they are not accepting Groupons, however, I can join directly. After reaching out to Groupon for a credit I was informed that they would 'gladly issue groupon bucks'. Haha. I don't need Groupon to hold onto my MONEY. Just provide a refund to the cc they rapidly charged. Watch out folks... sneaky company.
I had $200 in credits and once ideel.com merged with groupon, their customer service is lying to me. First they said I had no account registered with them... once I showed them proof that I did, they all of a sudden "found it" and lied to me saying that I don't have any credit. I HAVE $200 credit that I was saving up to purchase somthing nice for myself. Now they STOLE my money.
Occasionally things I have ordered from here are pretty decent. But a lot of the stuff is poor quality and not really as pictured or described. I ordered a hammock recently which is great, but the bike lights I ordered were useless, wouldnt stay on the bike, and burnt out after only 3 days of sitting on a tabel after installing them on the bike failed. Also bought a different bike light recently that claimed to create a flashing red "lane" for cars to see you but it seems they installed the light in such a way it hits my legs and not the street. The regular flasher works fine on that product, but I bought it for the "lane-maker" light, I already have a regular red blinking light. Also, the gold charm necklace I bought was much smaller than pictured, and has trouble staying on my front, it gets caught in my hair and on my shirts because it is so small and delicate.
I purchase a Samsung phone through Groupon. The phone stated "free returns" and "1 year warranty". The phone arrived 10 days later and didn't work. I took it to my phone carrier a week later, then they scheduled me another appoint with an expert 2 days later. They said the phone was the problem, so I reached out to groupon and asked to return the defective phone. They said I needed to contact the 3rd party company that sent the phone and provided me with only an email. I have since emailed twice and have yet to get a response. So I emailed Groupon again and they refuse to do anything to help saying I need to directly deal with the 3rd party but has no phone number for them, only an email. So groupon takes my money but refuses to assist with the return.
I purchased a Groupon for BJ's a few months ago. I went to redeem it at BJ's, and they said they applied it to my membership. They did not my membership expired this month. I emailed Groupon customer service they said they showed it redeemed. The problem is Groupon dose not have a live customer service phone number, and you can't communicate with them using a phone like most other companies. They claim they have a live chat but it's nowhere to be found on their web site. This is the WORST customer support ever.
I have to say that this has been probably one of the worst experiences i have encountered. I went to place an order for tickets. There were two options. One for $50 and one for $100. When i went to the $50 option, it said that i could not place this order. So i went to the $100 and placed the order. I come to find out that groupon charged me for both the $50 and the $100 order. Even though i did not place both of these. They said that all orders are final and will not cancel my second order. Even though its their system that messed up, not me. So i will dispute this on my credit card. The company offers no help. I can't get a person to talk with. I would NEVER use these guys again.
I am so grateful for these reviews! Loved the 'deals' but lucky for me nothing caught my eye enough to buy it - then I wanted to check what others were saying and so glad I have - thanks!
Now to anyone having trouble, not receiving orders, not getting a refund and you paid with a c/c - I have a word to remember when you purchase online REVERSE THE CHARGE!
Contact your c/c company, let them know what has happened and have the charges reversed. Stores have to play by the rules just like the rest of us - if they will not return your money the c/c will make sure you do.

Know what would make the company Ideeli great? If they'd live up to their promises of packages getting to you in time for the holidays as they had promised on their website & some decent customer service. Ordering on 12/14 & not getting deliveries when promised is considered false advertising. Unhelpful "chat" customer service telling you that this is all in the hands of the US Postal Service when order was shipped UPS doesnt help; in addition to customer service consisting of only being able to leave a message on voicemail promising a call back by the end of the day & then not getting a call back either. I bought 2 DJi phantom 3 drones Dec. 1st. They shipped Dec 7 and I rec'd one Dec. 10. I immediately emailed Groupon and the next day I rec'd an email stating my order was delivered Dec 10th. Dec. 13th I called customer service and explained that Fedex only picked up one item. They apologized for their error and said they would have to send this info to another dept. to investigate, but I probably won't get the other item until after Christmas. The item was in stock and paid for Dec. 1st and they can't get the item to me in 25 days. There has to be someone at that company with common sense enough to say, "It was our fault! Ship that order TODAY and we will figure out the details tomorrow." I even offered to pay for another one while they figure it out. Who can I speak to who has the power to fix this. Surely Rich Williams would not endorse this breach of integrity.
I've been using Groupon for the last five years and occasionally have a problem with the vendors. For example one of them wouldn't honor my Groupon because it was limit one per person and I had already bought one for that place a few years before. I contacted Groupon customer service and they refunded me by giving me Groupon bucks. The process was quick and painless. I've always had success with Groupon. I have also used many of the other discount sites such as deal with on Team by Exedra and so far Groupon is the only one that that is good and very reputable and I can trust them.
The phone line automated reply tells you go to the website help, there you need to e-mail or send a msg in Facebook with the promise of somebody calling you.
The messenger person only repeats what on the website and send you back to the phone line.? - I won't buy from Groupon again.
Answer: Yes, Groupon is legit. You need to read the fine print before ordering live event tickets- -they will not refund your money even if it's there fault. I only buy tickets for activities that don't expire or you can use the purchase price towards a non-Groupon service the vendor offers. Hope this helps.

Answer: I usually call the merchants I am interested in before buying the coupons, and ask them if the groupon coupons work, and how much more I have to pay. You could do the same, contact the merchants you are interested in and ask them how groupon works for them?

I've had nothing but good experiences from Ideel in all regards - product satisfaction, price, shipping, etc. - but I've never had to contact customer service so I don't know what you'll get, but they're phone number is (888) 835-1719.

They will lie, they literally told me customer service reps were out sick, thus no answer to my emails for about 2 weeks. But, don't loose hope, the DAY I posted a review on this site, they answered AND gave me a 25.00 credit for my trouble. So write a review on Site Jabber with all the details and a bet a manager will answer promptly. As this is their way, I NEVER ordered from the site again after at least 3 years of orders. Good Luck and don't leave a sordid detail out of your complaint.

That price is the highest price that it can be sold for by any retailer, but they can sell for any price that is lower than the MSRP, but never anything higher.
