Groupon claims to guarantee satisfaction or they will refund you without question. I purchased a groupon. I made a mistake thinking it was a different vendor than the one I was purchasing. After I received the groupon, I realized that I had made an error and asked them to return the groupon. They basically told me tough and have a nice day. I will never use them again, they do not uphold their guarantee.
Booked a cruise on the city of Philadelphia on july 7th. Due to an accident on the highway we missed the cruise. We contacted customer service, no answer back on refunding nor reschedule an trip. I paid $ 163.09. That's not free money. No response from Groupon.
You can find good deals on this site! I would recommend calling the places before you purchase the groupon deal though. Some places tell you to make an appointment months ahead of time making you have to wait to get the deal ex: beauty, spas, massages, etc.
Ordered a ladies join size extra large as a gift. After the item finally arrived the jacket could not even fit me who wears a size small and a size 2. In addition the jacket had what looks like dark spots on the sleeve and the back. Very disappointed. Won't buy again
Unable to make a booking for my hotel stay. Was told it was the hotel at fault, hotel had nothing to do with it. Just a nightmare to contact. Was cut off chats a number of times. So much time wasted. Very poor service. Would not recommend
I had purchased tickets for bbq in the grove that were discounted to $39.00. 'What I deal!' I thought. As I made the purchase, the site confirmed I had paid $ 78.00 ( 2 tickets). However, when I recieved the conformation email it said I paid $88.00. Why? Why did they charge me an extra $10? I cancelled my purchase. This site is misleading and the deals are not worth it! If I could give a negative rating I would!
DO NOT purchase groupons. A majority of the sellers have incorrect phone numbers not allowing you to follow thru with your groupon or they simply don't do what they say they're going to do. Groupons oversight of these companies is absolutely horrible and they should be on the hook for this bad business.
I ordered a king size comforter with pillow shams. The comforter was paper thin and fit my queen size bed like a sheet, keep in mind it suppose to be KING size. I was very disappointed and will never order from them again. I'm not going through the trouble of returning it because I don't think it's worth the headache. ($40 down the drain) I will use it at the park for my grandkids to sit on.
I find great deals on groupon, but something to definitely watch out for is the terms and conditions. Each groupon is different, and it might be worth giving the business a call just in case. Groupon goods are also a great way to save on practical items.
After 12 days of chasing up my item I still havnt received it, after speaking to customer advisor step who assured me if have it by this Friday just gone, and now its Saturday and i have spoken to Groupon 7 times and still no parcel. Money left my account a week ago
Wow. I have had nothing but fantastic experience as a consumer with Groupon. I always read the fine print and always review the business before purchasing. When I decided I could not use one particular Groupon voucher I was refunded. All of my emails have been answered personally within 24 hours. I have even spoken on the phone with wonderful Groupon personnel. They are always helpful and I have never been scammed. All of the businesses have graciously accepted my vouchers as well. I find these negative comments strange indeed. I honestly trust Groupon 100%.
I am a business owner in the uk and as I company I must stay groupon has been awful. The completely got my ad wrong and described my treatment as something it wasn't resulting in complaining clients and as a new business this has upset me detailing with complaining clients on a daily basis. They make you discount your service by 60 to 70 percent then take 50% of the sale then minus vat you are left with nothing, making a lost on each service. I have honoured all my services but clients where phoning at the last minute wanting appointment and we where fully booked with vouchers and unable to do them before the voucher expired. For a service that cost £250 in my salon the groupon voucher cost £75 I as the owner of the business only got £30 on each service, no profit minus products and staffing costs. Groupon pick on businesses looking for new clients, they didn't ever give me a proof of the ad before it when live!
What a joke! Slow shipping, poor quality goods and extremely poor customer service.
"ladies" camis purchased. They sent childrens sizes. The merchant was not censored and continued to market the item as a ladies size.
Item labeled "Phillips Sonicare Toothbrushes" arrived as a generic. Visibly lower quality than brand name. In addition, only 1/2 my order arrived. Was told by Groupon they would not be able to fulfill my order. Went to look at the order, and noticed the business had changed the description to Philips Sonicare (Generic) and lowered the price $5. I asked Groupon to refund me the additional $5... no dice. I just got a refund on the whole order.
Bottom line, Groupon Good is a horrible store. Don't waste your money.
I like this site, it gives great offers most of the time, but sometimes it just feels like anything is being put out there!
I know that it can't appeal to my tastes all of the time, but I just wonder what it does to bring the best offers possible everyday.
In saying that, I still like getting the offers I do and there are some great savings and even better gift ideas!

Groupon charged me for a service they didn't deliver. They don't post a real contact email - lovely guys. After taking the time to call they said they credited my account but didn't. Serious credibility problems.
I ordered a watch as a Christmas present. I gave plenty of time, ordering it way before Christmas. I had even ordered a pair of boxers after this which arrived. I have still not received my watch 4 weeks down the line. I tried ringing the customer service line a few days after the 7 working day delivery date. Even the number wasn't easy to find! The person on the phone told me I would definitely receive my watch before Christmas. I have rung again today and am still on the phone 10 minutes later, haven't even spoken to someone yet. Not impressed!
Groupon personal are so disrespectful and rude. They always take long to reply and when they reply its with a attitude. They dont give u ur refunds. They put it as is its groupon money. We purchased a river tubing event and they were all booked for the days that were shown. My Girlfriend n I sent them a email and the girl that replied was very rude and Unprofessional. We emailed groupon they said they dont care n that we arent able to get a refund..
I ordered 4 products from Groupon. They were supposed to be shipped together. They were Ordered January 7,2016, supposed to ship on January 8,2016. As of February 8, they still have not arrived. When I check the site with the tracking number, it says it cannot provide any information. I have made to call and have been placed on hold for a considerable amount of time. Then fold up with two emails. I keep getting replies that they will get back with me but as of yet, have not. Groupon support will not give me any information and will not give me a refund. This is the biggest bunch of crap I have ever seen. So, be smart do not make a purchase from the site, you will be in without products and less money in your bank account.
I've ordered from groupon a few times. I never paid attention to the shipping stuff until recently. Says it ships within two days LIE then says will deliver within 4-7 days after shipping LIE! My last order took 4 days to ship and today is day 7 and it says it won't be here until next week now. RIDICULOUS! Don't know that I'll order from them again.
I bought something from Groupon Marketplace on 4/25/20. As of today it has not shipped, so I tried to cancel the order. I have emailed the vendor through Groupon's website ten times. The vendor condescendingly answers "don't worry about it." Groupon customer service says it's up to the vendor. This is a $20 order. Why would Groupon want to lose a customer over $20? I cannot answer that. The customer service is AWFUL!
Answer: Yes, Groupon is legit. You need to read the fine print before ordering live event tickets- -they will not refund your money even if it's there fault. I only buy tickets for activities that don't expire or you can use the purchase price towards a non-Groupon service the vendor offers. Hope this helps.

They will lie, they literally told me customer service reps were out sick, thus no answer to my emails for about 2 weeks. But, don't loose hope, the DAY I posted a review on this site, they answered AND gave me a 25.00 credit for my trouble. So write a review on Site Jabber with all the details and a bet a manager will answer promptly. As this is their way, I NEVER ordered from the site again after at least 3 years of orders.
