BEWERE
Won't take return even tho they say they will? Just a lot of hoops to jump thru, thank god I paid with PayPal, so I've opened up a dispute for a damaged mattress I got delivered, they are not interested, they don't want to know, I'm surprised they are trading the way they work. ILL NEVER USE THEM AGAIN!

I bought a gift groupon for a business. The business denied the groupon services. When I asked groupon to refund my money back they said they don't do refunds after 3 days from purchase. So my money was wasted. Groupon took my money and gave me nothing.

I bought a deal through Groupon. Merchant did not have a time to provide service why Groupon selling this type of deal. Most of seller in Groupon is Fake or just advertise business through Groupon

What a horrible experience I will never ever recommend Groupon to anyone to deal with
As a business owner, I was helping a lady who was renting a room in my salon & spa as a self-employed esthetician. I was the person who signed the agreements with Groupon for this lady (her name is Kim), when Kim showed unprofessional behavior in my business such as using cheap products on clients, no job-quality, disrespecting her clients appointments, not following the safety standards & regulations, trying to drag my clients to her home and many more reasons, and after 5 warnings I fired her out of my business. I contacted the account's manager Abby at Groupon to remove my business address as she is STILL using my business address which causes my many problems with clients coming and calling my business; but the account manager Abby was delaying removing my address from the live deals until she gets Kim a special approval for in-home services as Groupon's policy doesn't allow Kim to launch any deal to be served at her home. I called groupon trying to get hold of Abby's manager to help me out in this, I've spoken with 2 guys and after they talked with Abby about my call; the last guy told me "you have to talk to Abby and if she decided to give you her manager's contact info that would be up to her!"
I've been receiving too many complains about Kim as she is refusing to honor the vouchers were purchased by those clients; which is causing my business a bad reputation! Abby doesn't care, nor Kim does. I'm going to file a lawsuit against Groupon for using my company's address without my permission; and for not responding to my request to stop the deals as I'm the agreement signer.

Groupons sound great but the discounts are taken off of inflated pries. Take any business and call them to find out what the original price was for the item or service you are interested in. I have not yet found a place that charges the prices that Groupon claims to be the 'original price' With the Groupon 'discount' the price of that item is either slightly cheaper or the same as what you can get in the store or business.
I have also noticed that many businesses treat you diffidently if you come in with a Groupon. You are automatically labeled about being cheap and the service level drops dramatically. I noticed that sometimes I get smaller portions and tend to wait longer for my food at restaurants. Most service providers don't return calls, don't show up to appointments or give you a half done jobs just to try to up sell you other features to complete the job that was promised.
So, if you want to buy a Groupon for the 'potential' savings, use at your own risk. I stopped buying them for fear that someone might spit in my food knowing that I have used a groupon.

Purchased a Brazilian blowout with a local salon. After 3 weeks of NO response from the salon, I asked Groupon for a refund. Their customer service reps went around and around with me numerous times asking me to continue to try and schedule the appointment. Their customer service reps have NO idea what the past conversation has been and act like robots! Groupon said no refunds after 3 days - HOW WOULD I KNOW IF THE SELLER IS GOING TO BE UNRESPONSIVE AND FLAKEY after just 3 days? This is on Groupon - they are selling contracts in the masses and don't care about the customer service that is left behind. I will be going back to livingsocial and other outlets. I am done buying from a site that once used to act like Nordstrom and now behaves like a used car dealership.

Refuse to refund

I purchased a massage package.It took me months to book a massage because she was so busy. The massage therapist then cancelled my appointment because she was ill which I understand. She told me to call groupon and they will refund me because I could not reschedule for a couple more months. I explained everything to Groupon. They refused to refund me. They would only do a trade in with my purchase price and I had 24hrs to buy something else or my original groupon would be reinstated. What happened to the Groupon bucks or credit they used to give. Not sure if I will use groupon anymore.

They charge ahead but if you have any problems with marchandiser they leave you alone. They dont return money either... They said to me that Merchandiser is refusing to provide service and they told me to give a voucher as gift... WTF! Why I would do that, I want money back!

Good Deals

My co-worker told me about groupon app, had download it and check it out! Like what I was seeing, with so many great deals of all types. I've purchased a few things from groupon, which was what I've order. Only had one problem with an all-in-one desktop, the company I'd purchased the desktop from. But I was able to receive the help I needed, and everything was resolved with no other problems. When I'm buying anything custom care has to be GOOD! Or I'll never buy from a vendor again, shipment was always fast/secure no problems. So far my experience with the app is A+ for now, so I'll continue to shop through groupon! Who doesn't like coupons? And good deals! Everyone does and this app is a good place, to check out for good deals on everything you can think of.

So, you found a good voucher and your daydreaming dancing around with birds as snow white on drugs. But NO... No no... You ended up on average places sometimes and probably adding money to your features, or worst as my experience. Scammed twice. One on a photo session (the trick was giving you a taste of they are good them you was kind of agree to pay for your life) my other 2 experiences was also bad one with a recording studio (expensive by the way) and after booking and paying they was not having availability so i reach they and basically get my refund after waiting for more of half a month. YEAH... HALF A DAMN MONTH. So by the end of that 2 experiences i give a last try. And was ok. On a restaurant until we get extra drinks... They basically made a human sacrifice and eat one of my friends to cover the expenses.
After this 3 thinks i remove my account and prefer to "google" the reviews of places, buy cheap travels around and do everything my own. And you know? Is 10 times better. So F********************* Groupon.
Ahh 1 star more because the customer service was kind of OK. And i was having a good deal with Chiropractor. Just that.

Buyer beware! Groupon is great until you have an issue. Worst customer service ever! I have yet to get an email from the same person twice. I have an account. Groupon knows my location. Yet, I was sold an out of area coupon. Groupon has repeatedly placed the blame on its customer, the vendor, but I blame Groupon for this mistake. I blame Groupon for suggesting customers purchase coupons for areas in which they do not live. To clarify the vendor is in my area, however the coupon Groupon sold was not for my area, and therefore the full amount of the Groupon was not honored at the time of purchase. I contacted Groupon immediately after redeeming this coupon, within 24 hours of purchase, and have been told that because I redeemed the Groupon (albeit, for a lesser amount) and my dispute was not settled within three days (not for lack of trying on my part), there is nothing Groupon can do besides giving me Groupon credit, which after this experience, I do not want. As far as redemption is concerned, the Groupon was a service coupon for an oil change, which I had already had performed. When I found out that only a portion of my Groupon would be honored, I couldn't very well have them put the old oil back in the car, so I redeemed what I could of the Groupon, foolishly believing Groupon would make things right. Since then, it has taken Groupon over TWENTY days to resolve this issue, which in my opinion is still not resolved. I have been told I have Groupon credit, which I am not sure actually exists. It doesn't appear in my account and I never received confirmation. However, if it does exist, after using it (which I don't even really want to do) I will never purchase another thing from Groupon again.

Disappointing

This company has the most disappointing customer service I have ever experience. Please don't believe all these 4,5 stars fake reviews. Save yourself time and money and do not purchase with them. I know I never will after so many disappointments.
If if sounds too good to be true it probably is.

With internet orders we know things can go wrong. They should have a phone number to call and talk to someone, the chat center barely works and the people behind the chat obviously get in big trouble if they return or give a refund on anything. GROUPON IS NOT A SITE YOU WANT TO GET DEALS FROM UNLESS YOU WANT TO BE ROBBED OF MONEY!

WHAT A NIGHTMARE!

I wish I could add pictures but I basically ordered a set of pots and Tupperware. First it said ships in two days, IT TOOK A WEEK! When it finally got delivered it was delivered at the wrong address! Good thing some of my neighbors in Brooklyn are honest so they brought it over to me after a few hours of trying to figure out where they delivered my package too. After I got it the box was open, and the handles on the pots were in pieces! Tried calling customer service and all they kept telling me was they would send a return label so I can get a refund because they don't do exchanges. I basically just moved into a new apartment. I have no pots and no Tupperware to store my food. I patiently waited for this package to be delivered and now they are asking me to send it back so they can send me a refund and then I have to go order again and wait AGAIN! With no guarantee that it won't happen again! I HATE GROUPON! So inconsiderate. I've wasted so much time and effort trying to resolve this issue and it's pointless.

If you are Canadian DO NOT book anything from this organization they advertise in Canadian funds and then they charge in US funds after the fact. I booked a hotel in Canada from Canada and paid double the price with fees and taxes then what I would have if I had booked directly. Groupon are bandits stay away from them this is my first and last time I will every use Ripon.

I'm hooked on Groupon, for deals on nice dinners, discounts on activities for my grandchildren, half off flowers, edible arrangements, dinner and theatre, or goods I buy for myself or others. Groupon has about everything you could ever imagine, and always at a fantastic discount, an unbeatable discount. Also magazine subscriptions super cheap. The only thing I don't like about Groupon, is you are so limited on the amount of a product you can purchase, usually limited to one and maybe one to purchase as a gift. What I do like, is you never lose the money you paid, you can always use it at the same place you were going to make your purchase from, at a later date. You will not get the same deal, but you can always make a purchase from them after the coupon expiration date. Groupon is probably my favorite site.
