Groupon completely mis-sold a hotel package to us. The food was awful and half the facilities weren't working which we only realised when we were there, no one told us prior or when we checked in. We paid extra for a deluxe room, our bed was a small double. When I complained they applied a £26 Groupon voucher to my account which would get you nothing on Groupon and I paid £179 for the package. Won't use Groupon again, Wowcher are far more reliable!
Even with very unique and difficult personal circumstances around the time of purchase the company refused to assist with an expired voucher in affect pocketing the entire sum.
I have tried to contact Groupon but it is impossible their web page just takes you round and round in circles. So I have wasted my money on this item.
The voucher I bought didn't work. Waste of money. I literally had to cancel our River cruise for today, no refund could make me satisfied.
I bought a deal but it said purchase failed. Not wanting to have one person miss out on a family event I purchased again. 24 hours later the funds were taken from my account and it no longer said purchase failed. Despite me sending them proof of this and them admitting a website glitch in their response they refused a refund and suggested I give the ticket to a friend. Useless.
My friend gave me a gift card that I cannot redeem. Custom service give instructions that don't work.
Bought a 2 night stay at Windermere hotel with 3 course meal and breakfast. When I arrived at the hotel I was informed it was only breakfast. I showed the receptionist my order and was told to take it up with groupon.He said this was the 2nd person that day with same problem. Customer service an absolute joke clearly not interested and said because I had booked into hotel I couldn't get refund even though I was told this after checking in. Will never use groupon again. Bunch of crooks. They then changed my order although I already screen shorted this as I thought this is what they would do. Avoid at all costs.
Buyer beware. Groupon UK are con artists. They owed me credit and after I provided them the proof they requested they acted like they never received it. Then they'd introduce another customer service who'd request the same information which I'd email to them. Afterwards, they'd introduce a new customer service who'd ask for it again. This continued about 5 times. The merchant involved even mailed Groupon UK to tell them I was owed the credit but again they acted like they never received the email. Whoever runs this company is cruel and unmoral.
I make the mistake of purchasing $400 worth of Groupons for an upcoming vacation to London. There were problems with scheduling reservations. It turns out their "customer service" is bots that just send you one worthless email after another! I am contacting an attorney to get my money back!
Please note if I could give Groupon minus reviews I would I bought by mistake 2 Groupon services and before I could use them I am recovering from the death of my mother and from having two rumors I work for the nhs and the service Groupon give well if the nhs did that people would die. They just seem to be heartless I will cancelling my account with them I suggest you revie my experience and buy from Wowcher better customer service the person who rejected it was Soniya Pujari S from Groupon hope she gets the sack I have had no reply back from them terrible buyer beware

I called the hotel to check about 1 week after buying, and they said Groupon had double booked me, and to tell them to refund it.
I contacted Groupon, who told me to ""read the fine print"", as though they hadn't lied to me right there on the booking page in BIG print?

I have been chasing my toilet roll order for more than three weeks now. I have been communicating with Groupon via Twitter messaging and with the merchant via email. They have been absolutely useless. I explained to them explicitly that they need to either provide a date when I can expect the order to arrive or a refund. Neither has been provided.
The merchant name is Rex Brown LTD. I am more surprised with groupon which has been absolutely useless in helping out
I cancelled a deal I bought because I wasn't happy with it Groupon kindly said they would replace the deal with another deal I wanted. Groupon also said they would include an item I paid for but did not receive. Then talking with another 9 agents and 5 days later Groupon had still not paid me full for either. The replacement cost £4.79 Groupon only credited me £3.99. The item I paid for but didn't receive cost £1.99 of which only £1.19 was credited. Yet Groupon clearly stated to me they would replace both items. See their message to me which they did not honour. See below!

Firstly, we will finish deal with colorland-879 and repurchasing Printerpix canvas picture with hanging kit provided 12" x 12".
They did cancel the deal with Colorland. Groupon did not credit me full amount to replace with Printerpix canvas picture and Groupon did not give me full credit for goods I paid for and did not receive. Even though Groupon's message says they will! What does that tell you about this company. Groupon are getting away with this at customers cost!

I booked a hotel via Groupon on Monday for the 24th to 26th of march, which they cancelled while I was asleep - I still have no idea why. I e-mailed them - still no response, and contacted them by chat. They told me to wait, and they would resolve, exactly why I didn't book again. Not hearing from them for 48 hours, the time I was waiting the dates we're already fully booked, so I contacted them again. They had no clue what I meant, offered no solution. I needed to explain the situation to three different people, each one not reading the previous conversation and asking the same questions, not being aware how time-bound and curial this is. I even e-mailed them yesterday, several times, with the message how time-bound the situation is. The customer service seemed to be too unaware and not educated on their promo's. Every time they would just say, book it again - book again, while the dates are unavailable. I asked numerous time, how they can help me/compensate me/go above and beyond to solve the issue. I called the hotel (Clayton London Hotel) and the started laughing, saying Groupon is quick to get the money, but their service is the absolute worst. Furthermore, I explained the whole situation, the kind hotel employee told me they can work it out if Groupon reaches out to them, and they would pay the difference in price. Happy with this news, I contacted Groupon again, for yet another time - the employee had no clue what to say nor do. Just saying, I can offer you a 10% discount, while on the website they already have a 20% discount for Mother's Day. They didn't even react to the fact that the hotel said they can work things out. Till this moment they didn't help, haven't responded with a solution, haven't replied to my e-mails and just are not actively looking for a solution.
Buyed product from groupon two month no answer no update reported!
Yesterday received a latter from post if you need your order send it to your address first pay 4 euro while during order saw: "free shipping"
Not about 4 euro no the way which groupon communicate with the customers.
Never back to groupon again just headache fu... off.

I bought 2 items on 26 December using links on Groupon with the promise to receive gift cards for spending certain amounts with Argos and Robert Dyas. I have received the goods from the sellers but heard nothing from Groupon regarding the gift cards. I contacted them and have been asked to provide proof of purchase, bank statements order numbers, dates of purchase, dates of transactions with my bank, card details I used to purchase these items etc, etc. This has rumbled on for over 3 weeks and I have had no joy. They keep telling me to contact my bank and the retailers but do not explain why I need to contact them. They now tell me there is no proof I made these purchases through Groupon so will not honour the offer of the giftcards.
I have come to the conclusion that these are fake offers. I have therefore closed my Groupon account and advise others to steer clear of this company as they clearly have scams set up with retailers to get you to buy with the false promises of gift cards that they have no intention of fulfilling.
Don't bother with only customer service chat. If they can't answer your question they will simply end the chat. I tried 3 times to contact about a gift. They were unable to give any useful advice and ended, when i spoke about the chat being ended they would do it again. I highly recommend you do not but your purchase as a gift, the recipient will have only a few days to book and use the voucher and will be unable to speak to Groupon about the purchase

They say on their website they have a 14 day return/refund policy, but in the small print of every product they sell it then says that the 14 day refund policy is not valid.
No refund policies are not automatically upheld in English & Welsh Law. Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and Consumer Contracts Regulations, consumers are entitled to a full refund, without fees, in the same manor used to purchase the product (eg £'s), IRRESPECTIVE of any company policy on refunds.
Contract law states that items sold must be as described and fit for purpose. I purchased a Groupon Code for £50 for a specific Tough Mudder Race. However, the code was not valid on the Tough Mudder website.
I contacted Groupon and they said they would only give me ‘Groupon credit', not cash. I used this to purchase another Groupon code for the same event I wanted. However, this code was also invalid and unusable. I gave Groupon the opportunity to satisfactorily rectify the situation, but ultimately I've spent £50 on something not as described or fit for purpose. They have stolen money from many people in this way.
My friends who are also trying to book this event have found the same problem with Groupon. They also requested refunds, as they we are entitled to under English contact law, but again Groupon refused to abide by the law.

Awful service. I decided to try again and placed an order recently. The order never arrived, I have spoken to customers services in regards to the issues a few times in which I am told someone from their resolution team with be in touch but I am yet to hear back. Wish I had ordered somewhere else as this is now the second time I have been messed about Groupon. The first time was a little over 2 years ago in which I ordered 2 cases of lemonade, 1 case arrived. I spoke to customer service and was told they did have enough stock to send 2 which is strange they knew this straight away but no thought to inform and get a refund issued. I was then told they had stock of a different flavour and will send a case of that. Unfortunately this was a flavour I didn't like. After having the same conversation with their customer service team for almost 3 weeks that I didn't want a different item as I wanted the flavour I ordered or a refund eventually Groupon gave in and said they would issue my refund which then took a further month to arrive. I know their products are through other companies but it their reputation on line when they deal with these companies for customers. I surprised they are still running with the amount of times they mess up as a company. I think they should be looked in and they should find a way to run their business better for the customers who end up out of pocket because of their mistakes. I will never use Groupon again after and I advise anyone who doesn't want lose money do the same
Answer: Finally got it open, broke a steel rule and eventually had to use two clamps, hardly "easy to use"
