This is super worst experience ever I had rent a car. At reception of Heathrow (actually Holidai Inn), first suddenly different type of upper grade car recommend with additional fee. I sincerely decline the offer, the reception told there is no car available which I order. Then I showed the booking evidence through rentalcars.com. And he mentioned this is rentalcars.com contract, not Greenmotion, no valid. I was arguing, and then next he recommend the additional insurance. Finally I accepted the insurance offer because I didn't time due to next appointment. Then he suggest another car which is similar type of which I made booking. What's a hell! After jump ride in the car, I noticed the alarm of low pressure of tire air. I filled up at gas station. Actually it was too low pressure, but still alarm goes on. Also window washer liquid is just water, no detergent. And no floor mat even driving sheet. Inside the car is not clean, specially front glass. It is really lacking of safety secure. Please don't select this company.

My worst nightmare
September 6, 2021

After arriving in Glasgow I went to green motion to collect the hire car I had paid for by debit card, but because I didn't have a credit card they said that I couldn't have the car.
They told me that all car companies are the same, which is a lie because I did eventually get another hire car from europcar who were very helpful and kind.
I was in total shock at the way they treated me and my family leaving us abandoned without a car when we had a 2 and a half hour journey to our accommodation.
They told me I could have the car for an extra £55 a day which is totally unfair.
There was another couple of ladies that were in the same situation of not having a credit card even though they had paid for the hire car.
I told them that I suffer from anxiety and I had to sit outside the office on the pavement because I was in shock and having a panic attack.
Green motion took us back to the main terminal with my children where I collapsed in shock in the middle of the car park, the driver looked at me laying on the floor and just drove off.
I could have been having a heart attack.
It totally ruined my holiday.
Now I'm back I've got to try and get my money back, and the nightmare goes on..

Deserves no stars!

I rented a car through Priceline. Was under the impression I was getting a full size cars. You can never reach them by phone. I got there and was given a 2019 canary with slashed tires and very dirty. Then I was given a 2017 rogue with a cracked windshield that they were aware of. They had nothing else so I had to take it. I return the car. Two days later I get a call talking about oh the car has a cracked windshield I need insurance information. I'm like wtf I don't think so. You know this car was jacked up when you gave it to me. Pull that scam on somebody else.

Lured in by £50 to hire a small car in Rome for the week. So far had £102 taken off my card to inform the Police regarding a Speeding Ticket (That I know nothing off) Won't communicate with me. Absolute rip-off artists. Avoid like the plague

We stood in line for 1 and 1/2 hour to get a car. There was one clerk doing everything while 3 other clerks stood around watching. The one clerk checked each person in, proceeded to try and up-sell everyone, then ran down the street to the car lot, drove the car back, videoed the car, then ran back in to process the next person. When asked why others weren't helping or why they didn't have more people, she explained the owners didn't want to spend the money on training or hiring additional people. Just prior to getting our car, the clerk, told the people in front of us she had to cancel their reservation because she didn't have an SUV. The lady in front of me went bat sh! T crazy and started yelling. Police were called in to calm everyone down. Felt like I was on a Jerry Springer show. Just Don't Do it. Pay a little more unless you want to be on a reality show.

Crooks and idiots!

Rented a car from GM Heathrow. I was 4 hrs late for my rental and so the booking was cancelled. They did have cars available, but surprisingly only top of the range Mercedes and so i was forced to double my rental cost. On returning the Mercedes there was not anyone to check it in, so i took photos of the car to ensure i didn't get over charged as the car had plenty of dents and scratches (i also took photos's at the start of the rental). A couple of days later i noticed they charged me 800 quid extra. I disputed this and they claimed damage, so i sent them the before/after pictures i had made. They sent me a picture of a drivers side broken window screen (unfortunately i didnt take photos of the window screen when i returned the car). The picture was a close up and the car in which the screen was broken couldn't be determined, so i disputed it again. But these people do not see reason and claimed i was responsible. After several messages back and forward they sent more pictures of the car and in one of the pictures you can actually see the drivers side window screen and guess what? There is no damage. I returned this image and told them there was no damage as can be seen by their own picture and surprise surprise they have not responded. Complete crooks even in the face of clear evidence they continue to deny responsibility. Please never use this company, they will scam you. I am now taking legal action agains these clowns.

This company will do everything they can to steal your money and charge you insane fees.
They hide and invent scratches and damages.
They charge for anything (late delivery, out of hour, small scratches, hidden scratches)
The company should be close down.

First of all, the car rental wasn't at the airport the had me catch the train twice to meet them somewhere closer to them, worst customer service ever no one couldn't give you any explanations and and they. We're rushing to go never again

Charged me for body preexisting scratches and tyre consumption marks.
However when I rent a car from a company, I dont expect to take videos or images and I was not instructed to do so by your staff. I base my deal on trust. Discrepancy between their delivering staff and receiving staff degree of scrutiny is the problem. I guess they punish customers for not purchasing their insurance

If I could give a negative star rating I would. One star is far too many for this horrible company! Do NOT rent from this company. Our experience was awful from start to finish. The car was terrible, the navigation system that we paid extra for was so outdated that it got us lost all the time, they charged us for mileage when our booking confirmation clearly stated unlimited mileage, and they threatened multiple times that if we didn't buy their insurance (we had our own) and got one scratch on the car they would charge us for the full replacement cost of the car. The worst part was that I wrote to them after to advise them of these situations and they put the blame for everything on us. They took no responsibility for their poor products and worse customer service. They absolutely exhausted us with their "not our fault" emails and had the gall to offer us 15% off our next rental as a resolution. I would never give them another dime of my money. A future discount doesn't help me, it helps them. Appalling from start to finish! Do yourself a favor and rent from someone else. Their low prices are a mirage, rent from a reputable company.

If I could give 0 stars I would. DO NOT rent from this car company - it is a total scam. My husband and I had an amazing trip to Iceland, only to be ruined when we returned our rental car which we only drove from the airport to the hotel and back. Upon return, they claimed that we had dented their car (which was covered in dings and dents and scratches) and made us pay the $2600 deductible for a car that is barely worth that before they would let us leave for the airport. We only rented from this company because it was booked through our credit card company and unfortunately failed to do our research ahead of time. If we had, we would have seen the countless reviews of this occurring all the time. I will be posting on every travel /review site that I can find to warn others so they don't have this same terrible experience. In addition to this, we had to wait forever to get and return the car. Their customer service is horrible. Please don't make the same mistake we did.

Green Motion - Be WARNED

I recently rented a vehicle from this company in Krakow Poland and I SHOULD have done my homework and reviewed websites like TRIP ADVISOR. Upon return of the vehicle that had over 34,000 km I was charged over 1,500 euro for blemishes to the car that are no larger than 1-2 mm in size. A chip to the windshield no larger than a 1 mm was 650 EUR. See photo below. The service was horrible and trying to contact them for clarification is impossible. I did use my credit card with damage protection. This company commits fraud and I encourage anyone thinking of using this company to PLEASE review the posts on TRIP ADVISOR and elsewhere to make an informed choice. Run from this company, pay a few extra dollars and be treated with fairness elsewhere. There are many other great companies out there. GREEN Motion is definitely not one of them. Most unfaithful rental company ever! They checked my car and said that everything is ok. I left the country and received a bill of over Euro 1000 for scratches that they found after I left! This is rediculous as I didn't drive much and car was parked on private parking. They also claim that I drove more than 3000km in Latvia. The country is too small for such amount of km and considering me staying in one hotel every day, it's highly impossible. Alltogether this company is fooling it's customers! NEVER EVER AGAIN I SHALL RENT A CAR WITH THEM!

I rented a car from Green Motion via the website trip.com, to be picked up at London City Airport and drive it to Cambridge. I needed only to get to Cambridge; I left it there in a secured parking lot and drove it back to the rental location. So, I was driving it only on the highway and I am sure there was no occasion for any damage.
When I arrived at the location to pick up the car, there was already a furious customer complaining that he was being charged for a scratch which he claimed he didn't cause. Apparently it was a small scratch but he was being charged more than 250 pounds. I was a little alarmed. But, when they showed me the car I was getting, which was a new Toyota Yaris without any damage, I felt relieved. However, when I returned the car, the guy who checked it told me there is a damage. I thought it must be a misunderstanding. But, no; he showed me this minuscule marking on the edge of the wheel rim (less than one cm long and hardly visible; I have taken a photo). I am absolutely sure the marking must have been there and I didn't notice it at the time of pickup because it was simply not visible. He told me I had to pay 135 pounds for the damage. I wonder how many customers before me have paid for the same damage! I was still there when another customer arrived and he was told that an inflator was missing from the trunk. He was extremely angry as he said that he had not even opened the trunk; so, it would have been impossible for anything to get lost from there.

Apparently, these guys offer low prices and then use this dirty trick to earn much more money than the rental fee, using damage insurance clause. It is easy money to earn as the scratches and damages are simply never repaired. I am a university professor and have been travelling all over the world since 1986 and have rented cars in places as far as Thailand, New Zealand, Chili, etc. etc. I have never had an accident or damage to a rented car. I am absolutely sure I didn't damage this time either.

Such a Scam
May 30, 2018

According to Green Motions Terms and Conditions, the credit card must be in the name of the lead driver. If the lead driver doesnt have a credit card in their name, then the secondary driver must be present in order to present theirs. When my boyfriend picked up the car, I was not present and I never signed a single paper or electronic document with Green Motion. I honestly dont even know how I was put on as a secondary driver considering I was in another state (with my credit card on my person) at the time of the booking. Now, Green Motion is trying to claim two tolls werent paid and are charging me $150. I called them immediately and told them to removed the charges. They refused, they refused to let me speak to a manager, and they refused to even so much as leave a message for a manager. I immediately reported them for fraud to my bank and got my credit card number changed. I emailed their customer service and basically got told to pound sand. I told them to fix the problem immediately or I would be sure to report them to every site I could. They neglected to fix the problem immediately so now I am trying other sources to fix my problem.
Also, this was not the only issue with Green Motion. The car the attendant gave my boyfriend had a panel that was falling off the front, scratches all over the car, the check engine light was on, the windshield wipers didnt work properly, the gas tank was empty, the alignment was horrendous, and it wasnt even the car my boyfriend were supposed to have received. This place is an absolute scam and has exceedingly corrupt business practices. I believe they should drop all of the supposed charges for the tolls. I also believe my boyfriend should be fully refunded for the money he spent renting the car, unless its in their terms and conditions that they are supposed to give customers unsafe cars that has recently been in an accident/collision. My boyfriend had no choice but to take the car considering they told him it was the last car they had to give out and it was very early in the morning. This experience has been abhorrent. This place WILL scam people.

I rented a car from Green Motion Manchester on 28th Feb. When I went to pick up the car it was covered in Snow and Ice. The attendant apologised that they had been unable to clean the car because of the weather. They gave me a form noting that the car had scratches on one side and damage to a wheel. When I returned the car they found a small scratch on the lower rear of the car (this area was covered in Snow when I took the car) When I protested that I had not caused any damage they then said that they would let me off with the wheel damage (which was previously noted) but, I Had to pay GBP 300 for the scratch to the rear. After a few words, they came back and said that they had checked the previous 5 rentals and the scratch was not there. But, they had not checked nor cleaned the car when I took it.
When I argued this the manager asked me, why I did not clear all the snow off it to check!

I was also charged for a full tank of Petrol when the tank only contained 2/3 of a tank. I accept that I could have returned and told them about that, but, after a 4 hr flight delay, I could not be bothered. I am just mentioning that as another of the shady practices this company employ.

Class action lawsuit

I'm trying to organise enough poeple to come together to start a class action against green motion there is a facebook page class action against green motion if you go to it and ask to join I wil add you If we get enough people together over time we take it further I was caught by them too
