Everything seems to be fine, but when I pick up the car the clerk did withdraw twice my credit card, saying it was only for deposit purpose. Then I realized they charged an additional insurance for £50 per day (tot. £100), which I did not request for, in fact I had the full insurance included in the reservation. I tried to claim back the money, but no way to be refunded by Green Emotion. I think they play this game because we were abroad clients. Not professional at all.

We needed a rental company with reasonable prices, off airport, but close enough for an early morning departure. The price was good, and the car was perfect. I have used green motion on 3 occasions now over the last 6 months and have been impressed each time. The pick and drop off is smooth. I will use them again.

Shocking in a nutshell. Overpriced poor service, handed the car back with a "Dent" in the roof which I couldn't see, it cost £700. Place is a joke. I don't know if they try this with anyone else

Dirty car that didn't start every morning and bad customer service
They told me when I was leaving with the car that I would need a sunpass. I asked if I could just pay per toll since I wouldn't be using the turnpike. They said I needed it and it was $70. I will never use this company again

The whole process of booking the vehicle to collecting and returning was without issue, although I was surprised by the amount of per-collection documentation that needed to be submitted in advance e.g. a licence summary check code from DVLA. I collected the vehicle from the Kalamata airport office which is short walking distance from the the airport. The person I dealt with was helpful and after agreeing the previous damage we were on our way. Handing the vehicle was again without issue. The vehicle itself was a bit older than I expected, but after experiencing the standard of driving and roads in the Peloponnese, I don't think cars have a long life-expectancy. In summary, happy with the whole experience and would use GreenMotion again.

My husband and I used this company & they are nothing but a scam. First of all they are not located at the Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood Airport (as shown on Priceline) but are 2 1/2 miles away in a sketchy area. Their shuttle didn't come to pick us up. When we got to their office, thanks to a friendly shuttle driver from a competing rental company, they charged us an "administrative fee" of $8/day + tax for listing our own insurance policy instead of buying theirs. Seriously? What kind of stupid charge is that? It makes no sense. They would not give us the car that we had pre-paid for through Priceline unless we agreed to the fee. So there we were, in the middle of nowhere with our luggage, no car & had pre-paid for the rental. We were stuck with the charge and they knew it. Under no circumstances should we have incurred any charges (unless there's an upgrade) when they had accepted our reservation at a stated amount through Priceline. They also tried to sell us a Sunpass for upwards of $40 when other rental companies equip their cars with one & simply charge your credit card with the applicable fee anytime you use it. Do yourself a favor and stay away from this company—they are nothing but trouble!
Pickup and return of the car was quick and easy. Car was great and we enjoyed it a lot.

Answer: I have used them many times, always cheapest, always very new cars, always charming and helpful staff ( Stansted Airport). Every firm will try to get you to upgrade. Buy a 3rd party policy, and just say you have your own cover. Up to now I have never been scammed. I ALWAYS inspect the vehicle before. I drive off. I take photos and make sure I get it inspected and signed off by staff when I take it back.
Answer: Speeding/parking tickets and police action are slow. They keep the deposit until they are sure there will be no problems with any of those costs. (and yeah, would be speeding fine + massive green motion fee).

I can confirm that security deposits are automatically released by Green Motion on the last day of your rental after it has been established that the rental vehicle has been returned in the same condition as it was provided, and there are no further outstanding charges. Whilst in most cases this is available again within 10 working days, unfortunately, this can take up to 30 days depending on the bank that you use. We suggest that you contact your bank as they may be able to speed this process up for you. Green Motion's policy is to use pre-authorised transactions for our security deposits, which ring-fence the amount within your account, not charge it. This pre-authorised transaction will allow us to make charges if necessary at the end of the rental, but unless this occurs no money will leave your account. Due to the nature of this transaction, the release of these funds may not show on your bank statement as a separate transaction. If you believe that you have been charged your security deposit, please contact your bank and ask them to provide proof of the transaction as a charge on the first day of your rental so that we can look further into this for you. If this amount is still not available in your account after 30 days from the last day of your rental, please contact us at escalation@cs.greenmotion.com. Answer: I believe Green Motion are a perfectly fair and respectful company. I suspect you didn't read their Ts&Cs properly. The two customers being served while I was collecting my car had also not read/understood the conditions and were caught by surprise. The representative dealt with them firmly but fairly.
