Easy booking and collection even with COVID restrictions. The car we were given was relatively new and was clean throughout. The specifications of the vehicle was higher than I would have expected on a rental vehicle with it even having a built in satnav.

We arrive 20 minutes late to pick up the car, the reservation was cancel, horrible treatment no other cars available, don't use this company
Terrible service and rude and bullying staff at Green Motion, Glasgow Airport. I pointed out to them at start of the rental a scratch on the painted rear panel on a Green Citroen3. No worries I was informed, just take a photo, which I did. However, directly beneath this on the underside of the black plastic bumper was a scrape, which was in all honesty not able to be seen by anyone inspecting the vehicle and car was backed into a fence! It was obvious they knew the damage was there as they went straight to that area! The car was driven for 47 miles in 1 week and kept in private driveway at all times. I tried to discuss this with Green Motion staff who dismissed me outright and it was obvious they just wanted to charge me an arm and leg. I urge anyone hiring from this company to photograph every area of the vehicle and also the underside as they will try and find an excuse to RIP YOU OFF! I would not even give them one star, minus more like! NEVER RENT FROM THESE PEOPLE UNLESS YOU WANT YOUR BANK ACCOUNT EMPTIED! Green Motion is an unpleasant and unscrupulous organisation and should NOT BE IN BUSINESS!

I have rented from Green Motion for years and was a part of their membership program.
In 2021, I had an issue for the first time.
Well, you learn how companies really work when there are issues.
This was a very, very small issue and tiny amount of money compared to the thousands I'd spent with them.
But they handled it horribly – Ali in customer service in particular – and now they have lost me as a customer.
If this is how they handle a very small issue with a long-term customer and member of their program – imagine how they'll handle any serious issues you might have with them?

Leased a car from the 6th Jan 2022 to the 18th Jan 2022. First car was Hyundai Kona which has not been cleaned, had a slow car puncture and had red warning lights for brakes. I managed to get it exchanged with another one which had a puncture and I was told that i had to sort out a tyre as I had refused to take out insurance. This is ridiculous. Do these companies not cover tyre punctures? It says wheels are not covered but nowhere in the agreement does it say punctures are not covered. In any case I think I may have been given the car with puncture which is slow. The customer service is awful and this is probably due to the fact that this is a franchise. I would not rent from them again. They are a rip off... so it looks like you have a good rate rental but at the end of the day you are better off getting a car from mainstream car rentals.
I rented a car with GreenMotion through an online rental company, and it was truly the worst car rental experience I've ever had. Green Motion rented me an unsafe car - the car had a broken speedometer and tires that could not maintain safe air pressure. I realized the car was unsafe about 30 minutes into my first time driving it. I called Green Motion to notify them of the issue, and after over an hour of back-and-forth, they finally took responsibility for the unsafe rental. They proposed to offer me another rental car, but at that point, I did not trust their quality of service and safety precautions - I declined and asked for a refund. They said they could not refund me the cost of the rental, which is absurd considering the car was UNSAFE to drive.

REP WAS RUDE, UNSYMPATHETIC AND UNHELPFUL. WAS LIKE REP WAS WELL REHEARSED IN THIS SITUATION. DISABLED PERSON LEFT STRANDED 3 MILES FROM AIRPORT WITH NO TRANSPORT. NOT SO SMART ALEC BEHIND THEIR DESK SAID " NOBODY WILL RENT YOU A £******* CAR WITHOUT DEPOSIT." THAT'S WHAT INSURANCE AND COLLISION DAMAGE WAIVERS ARE FOR MORONS NOT SO YOU CAN SCAM PEOPLE.
The worst… deceitful and over priced
The worst… deceitful and over priced. Yes, I got a low price for renting the car. When I showed up they told me the insurance I purchased through Priceline was not valid and I had to pay $40 per day. They then went into this whole dialogue of telling me that I should pre pay my tolls at $20 a day and a complicated review of all the charges I would have to pay if I had not settled all tolls on line by the time I turn in the rental.
Total rip off / con.
Disgraceful.
Avoid them at any cost. Their business-model is SCAM, especially if you are from a foreign country (at Edinburgh airport).
I booked a car from Dalaman Airport, once I got there to pick it up, they said the car is too small! Then they didn't have a replacement! I asked for refund and they said i will get my money back in 6 to 7 days. I sent an email to costumer service after 7 days and they responded saying they will follow up.
I contacted my bank and deputed the charge but WTF? Nothing since then, I called and sent two other emails but no responses,
Never try again and I recommend you don't either.

Buy a 3rd party policy, and just say you have your own cover. Up to now I have never been scammed. I ALWAYS inspect the vehicle before. I drive off. I take photos and make sure I get it inspected and signed off by staff when I take it back.
Answer: Speeding/parking tickets and police action are slow. They keep the deposit until they are sure there will be no problems with any of those costs. (and yeah, would be speeding fine + massive green motion fee).

Whilst in most cases this is available again within 10 working days, unfortunately, this can take up to 30 days depending on the bank that you use. We suggest that you contact your bank as they may be able to speed this process up for you. Green Motion's policy is to use pre-authorised transactions for our security deposits, which ring-fence the amount within your account, not charge it. This pre-authorised transaction will allow us to make charges if necessary at the end of the rental, but unless this occurs no money will leave your account. Due to the nature of this transaction, the release of these funds may not show on your bank statement as a separate transaction. If you believe that you have been charged your security deposit, please contact your bank and ask them to provide proof of the transaction as a charge on the first day of your rental so that we can look further into this for you. If this amount is still not available in your account after 30 days from the last day of your rental, please contact us at escalation@cs.greenmotion.com. Answer: I believe Green Motion are a perfectly fair and respectful company. I suspect you didn't read their Ts&Cs properly. The two customers being served while I was collecting my car had also not read/understood the conditions and were caught by surprise. The representative dealt with them firmly but fairly.
