Couple of months ago there was a transaction that was un-authorized put through, did a dispute and had no access to card just recieved a letter saying dispute was cleared and money was reinbust back to the card now i have been blocked and restricted to use the card. So green dot has stolen money from me now and wont release the money... this company is bad AND they dont care or can give u no straight answers on why... DONT USE GREEN DOT EVER WORST COMPANY THEY WONT GIVE U MONEY BACK CAUSE OF THERE DUMB SUSPICIONS

I always use these store bought cards to pay bills and buy things online. But lately every single one i buy is the same hassle. I get this green dot junk card. Put $270 dollars on it. And it wont let me register the card. For two weeks i fight and argue with someone from the philippines that say they have no power to register or activate my card. All they can do is refund my money in two weeks. By check. Obviously i needed to buy something now or i need my money. I dont make alot and i can afford to sit on money for weeks. Theres no one that can help. They just keep telling me to do the same things. So i get frustrated and the weekend comes and goes. The next week i try again registering online. Finally it goes thru partially. But they dont believe i am who i say i am. why would i use my own name and address if i was doing something fraudulent. Idiots. Now they want me to upload a i.d front and back. Then tells me its blurry when its not. And then tells me it doesnt meet the jpeg format. Anything to not give you YOUR MONEY. I finally get it to work and it gets declined because they instantly took a monthly fee the day i bought the card. The day i bought the card 2 weeks ago when it refused to let me use it. So there wasnt enough money on the card to make the purchase that i got it for. AND clearly says on the package no monthly fees. With smaller letters that say if unless you set up direct deposit. It didnt even give me a chance to set it up. They just took it. Total fraud and i dont know how they get away with it. The U.S Attorney General should shut this place down
I don't know how Green Dot provides banking services for Intuit. However, I opened a Quickbooks Online banking account, which was held at Green Dot. This first day of business in 2023, with no notice, Intuit closed the account, and still after an entire week has provided no information about why the account was closed, and why $24K in funds are being held. No explanation after talking to six different people across different groups. I thought I should at least reach out to Green Dot since one chat rep from Intuit said I should. I will tell you that I couldn't get a hold of any one at Green Dot initially by phone since the only way you can do that is to enter a debit card number. But since my account was closed, the number wasn't recognized. I had to provide feedback through their site (not an official support channel). I received an email that customer support had tried to contact me but were unable to leave a message. I called the support number in the email and got the same line. Here's the thing: my voicemail works, and I could see the hangup in my VOIP system from an unidentified 800 number. Then the support person tells me to make sure to be available since they will call me back. I provided my direct line to make sure I didn't miss a call. Which never came. That's two customer services LIES in one short day. This bank is clearly PATHOLOGICAL. I'd rather have zero customer support than negative, time-wasting lies. Avoid Green Dot at all costs!

I had my card for years know like 4 any ways last year with the reward system I called them and said I did my 12 mths no button to click instead of telling me to wait tell later in the day for the button they said I was in the negative remind you I was never in the negative and I got the 10 dollars protection plan same thing just happened agian they told me it wasn't they app I asked to speak with a supervisor Bella asked for my number then hung up on me then called me back and stated she did hang up but on a accident any how the supervisor hung up on me before even speaking then I called back and was told I was in the negative agian I told them this happened last year well guess what my moneys on there now because like I said they app is messed up you don't get your money the 18 and when you do get it is 24 hrs from when they take the payment don't waste your time calling because they will have you believing you won't get your money

I have been a loyal customer for years and not even worth the time and money invested. I have a lot of people I told about this Greendot. Looks like a review is necessary and fair for those whom may be looking for a much better trustworthy account holders.
Can't believe I have been with y'all for years now and y'all help once or twice then act as if it's never been done. The back room are agents that can assist with pending charges, but are told not to be directed or else. Agents look to make the share by avoiding use of the background back room specialist.
