I brought a green dot card and couldn't even use it had to get them to send my money that was left on the card sent to me in a check I couldn't even pay my bill out even use the card and they don't send you z new card in the mail trust they won't be getting in to Haven please believe that I will be working the gates no let's see who has the last laugh

I just put $30 dollars into my son's account and while they took it out of my account immediately my son has still not received it 3 hours later. Then I called and after repeating the automatic dialing promts I received a man who absolutely had no idea how to transfer the money even though the company knew how to take it out of my account. I would recommend that anyone that wanted a way to transfer money to their college age children to use CHIME and not Greendot due to customer service being completely incompetent. I wish we would have known about Chime prior to ever using Greendot. They have the absolute worst customer service ever.
We bought tires from a place called tempoe they over charged us 900 for these tires and they admitted it to us and the disputed team and greendot turned around and took there side greendot does not protect there customers they stick up for merchants so they should just do bussiness with the merchant I will be closing the account and taking my business somewhere else where I will not get screwed ahain
Greendot is the worst debit card service ever dont waste your time applying i called my card in lost so the agent who talked to me was in india he never closed my lost card off so i called back then i got somebody from the philipines everytime i spoke to someone i was told something differant then out of the blue they block my account for no reason please anyone donot use this company
I have attempted to resolve and issue with Green Dot since 3/30/20.As of 5/12/20, I have received one email response from the company on 4/10/20 assigning a case number to this issue. There is no way to reach a live agent; automated phone system allows NO access. This company definitely has THE WORST customer service of any company I have ever dealt with. STAY AWAY!
I have literally been contacting customer service for over a YEAR to get $64.34 out of MY OWN account. Green Dot asked for ID, I provided my ID. They asked for proof of address, I provided a paycheck stub. I also (just to be extra) provided a copy of my W2 Buuuut that still was not enough. Green Dot explained to me that they can NOT release my $65.34 to ME due to not being able to provide them with a utility bill. A UTILITY BILL?! Are you serious? I have given them my social, my Drivers license, my W2, my paycheck stubs. A utility bill? So I politely asked if I could send them my car note. NOPE. They said nope! I then requested the customer service phone number and the customer service agent then ignored me for an hour. Very unprofessional. Do NOT USE GREEN DOT. IT IS A SCAM!
I have been trying to activate my new Green Dot by phone and on line, they tell me by 5 digit Zip code which is ******* is invalid I have been trying to do this Starting at 9:30 this morning 9/12/2019 it is now 4:14PM with no help from their customer service people they want me to wait 2to 5 business days to activate my card. I would not have this trouble if they had cards that did not fall apart, when I got my new card for this new season 7/2019, then last Sunday the new card fell apart, when I activated the other card(from)last month I had no problem activating it. When on line I keep getting an error message sorry internal error has happened. I am supposed to be a VIP member but feel like a big nobody. They keep on trying to get me to get an APP. But I nave no place on my cell phone to put it.
The only thing I had problems with was loading money at the store. It said I could load money to my Green Dot card at Walmart but when I tried to do that it declined my money load to card. All the other features and use of card work great for me and I really like my Greendot card.
My 78 year old mom was scammed went to a 7-11 and the supervisor behind the counter activated for greendot cards for 500$ each for my 78 old mom. No money was on the cards tried to check the balance said it needed a social security number which the 7-11 worker activated I cant reach anyone from greendot and 7-11 headquarters I filled a claim 2 weeks ago no response I cant even talk to a live person from greendot *******@hotmail.com please help.
This is BS! I deposited a check for $245.00... it's going to take 6 days for it to be deposited into my account! 6 DAYS! That's ridiculous! I suggest finding a better online bank! Maybe net spend or chime card. NO ONE SHOULD HAVE TO WAIT 6 DAYS FOR THERE MONEY!
There's no way to email them and when you call you can't even get an agent on the line. I used that card for 1 purchase and closed the account...except they didn't closed it and kept charging me montly payments. A refund was made after i got in contact and closed it AGAIN and it settled the negative amount. I was told the negative amount was gonna dissapear and the're was nothing they could do about the refund, but that's not what happened. The rest of the money is there and i can't even spend that because i don't have that card anymore. They told me a callback was gonna be made at the number provided in the account only...i don't have that anymore.
I should've read the reviews before I bought this card! I put 200 on the card and was never able to to register the card everytime I call there giving me the run around I only bought the card because the hotel I was going to stay didn't take my bank only took visa so I bought this card from Walgreens and now I'm outta 200 dollars they should be sued for scamming people out there money

I had a direct deposit sent to green dot bank they put my deposit in the wrong account and now want to keep telling me the sender has to retrieve the deposit. The sender says they have no way of getting the deposit back after the bank accepted it. I have contacted green dot over over 30 times to resolve this issue and repeatedly they say there is nothing they can do. Well someone needs to give me my 1446. 00 dollars back to me. What ever you do DO NOT TRUST GREENDOT BANK with a penny of your money they have sorry customer service nobody that answers the phones probably cant even use a computer because they do not know what they are doing in my opinion the federal government should take a look at their business practices they would probably be shut down. It's quick and straightforward card even though the membership fee sucks. 9.99 every month adds up to $120 yr in fees. But you can't beat the early direct deposit
Customer Service is trained to lie. They withhold your funds from you to pay for their high default rates. I still receive statements on an account that was closed four months ago.
