My Card has been deactivated twice in 2 months! Both times on Friday! You can't get it reactivated until the following week! It's ridiculous! I would advise you to not get a greendot prepaid card! Also you can't understand a word customer service is saying! Their language is not understandable! You will not have any money until the following week!

We won two gift cards at a football game. Correction, we THOUGHT we had one too gift cards. What we actually got we're two $20 cards each and when we try to go spend the $20 there was only $10.05 available go figure they charge $9.95 just to start with the account. If we hadn't both one we wouldn't have twenty bucks!

My Card information was stolen/Unauthorized purchases was made on My account. Filed a dispute the day transactions cleared. After being in cue for 2 hours to talk to a rep received confirmation after call rep put in information wrong. Called right back to fix. Filed dispute 8/22/23 mailed 8/22/23 Paid extra for 2day shipping…Just to be told today 9/6/23 they don't have My dispute form it wasn't received in a time.I have proof I sent dispute…I feel I'm being scammed and giving the run around…None of the reps no nothing or any help.

We bought a greendot card and they let you put money on it but they wont let you register or activate it. So you can't get your money after 5 or 7 days of trying to register it I give up and can't get my $2,000 that I put on it

Green Dot is the most famous medium for scammers! It is soo easy for scammers to use this company and when you report this to the company, they do absolutely nothing. My husband was scammed for $500 and Green Dot was used to do this scamming. We called the company and there was no resolution. I will not be surprised if Green Dot is somehow associated with scammers to deceive people. Run from them

Lost $200.00
November 10, 2023

I deposited $200.00 into this card and I've been trying to access the funds for 3 months! They state the funds were never received from Walmart Store 4554 (Anderson Lane Austin Texas). I have provided all supporting documentation as has the Walmart Store managers and still they state that the case has been closed due to lack of evidence. This card is a scam, DO NOT USE THIS CARD! The founder of this company outsources his customer service and they are unable to help in any way or fashion. Don't get ripped off

Piece of $#*! scammers

They were very rude live chat told me it wasn't about my situation and they scammed me out of 174.00 activated the card 4 days later my money is nowhere to be found and you can't talk to a live agent the chat people will end conversation then block u and want help you at all. I wouldn't ever use this company if I were anybody. Very rude people.

They absolutely suck! Stay away... Scam artists
Ive been trying to transfer money from one account to the other. My money dissappears but doesn'tgo to my other account. I finally get through to someone after 100 tries to get told "im sorry theres nothingi can do for you" Nobody speaks fluent English. Frustrating!

GreenDot frozen my account because my father passed away. So they said I can't have the $672.97 I had in my greendot account. But the real kicker here is, they KEPT OPEN my father's greendot account. They are thieves. I have filed several complaints with several agencies. If I call greendot now as soon as I enter my information they hang up on me

I just purchased the card and got charged with a monthly fee how when the month just started smh then I called numerous time about getting money my money off the card and they keep telling me they didn't receive my documents with in fact I send it over 4 times please don't use Green dot

Green dot suspious activity done by them

I received a phone call from Green Dot yesterday 1-6-2022 and this disrespectful $#*! of a man was over talking me didn't even get past my address and he's already talking s***. These card people just think were going to put up with them stealing our money and I'm so tired of it and check this out I went to look for my history of transactions before the turn of the year and of course, printed out months and they're gone trying to cover they're F ups. They had a lot of write off's on my transactions then trying to cover up their suspicious activities and blame me for the $#*! I still haven't gotten my money and really want to sue them i just need more people to get with an attorney and sue them for real I mean there has to be some attorney that wants to help us their stealing OUR money and we can't do $#*! about it well now to the federal trade commission. And yes i do have that conversation taped just as they fell they want to tape us get a recorder on you phone and the idiot hung up on me how professional rwelling me he cant hear me which was b. S

This is an update to my review named Green Dot is a terrible company. I finally had a CSR from Green Dot so as promised and prioritized my situation. I also located an email address for Green Dot that may have helped. *******@financier.com I still don't recommend Green Dot, but I am updating my review level to a 3. My account was hacked, by a person posing as an Uber agent, this agent, along with an agent from GoBank took all my money out of the GoBank acount without any problem. I followed all asked procedures regarding verification, sent all photo copies of transactions, this was sent to the refund request department, along with the "account take over" department, twice. I have been on hold up to 2 hours at a time when I request to speak to a supervisor and this is every time I call, I call at least twice a week. The agents who initially answer the customer service line, dont know anything... and when a supervisor does answer, its the same, nothing?
Always have some "excuse" as to why it has not been resolved. My case has gone over 45 days, which I was told it would take and still, there is an excuse as to why I still have not received my money of over, the amount taken is over $1420. 00. I need to know what options I have... this is too much money so easily taken from the account.

A friend of mine had owed me money for about a year so he sent me the $1,200 by Green Dot MoneyPak reload kit. He texted me the receipts and the numbers off the back of the car that I would need to keep the Green Dot I try to log into my account it would not let me in. If you know anything at all about Green Dot you know that the customer service is almost non-existent. The $1200 I was going to use towards my security deposit on an apartment. I have to submit an electronic complaint 2 weeks later I get a notice from Green Dot that they're going to require me to submit the actual hard copies of the documentation documentation and review will be taking another 4 weeks.
This is downright thievery. Do yourself a favor never ever purchase Green Dot MoneyPak!

I received a card as a Christmas gift and before I could even use it they took $7.95 from me as a monthly fee. I didn't get the Chance to even use it before they took money from me. Don't use greendot at all. They are horrible people and just take money from you! Don't use it!

I closed my Green Dot secured platinum visa 8/4/21 and it's been more than two months since and I have not received my security deposit yet as of 10/14/21. I have called, email Green Dot support and was even directed to corporate which was in the Philippines and was hung up on three times. I consider this FRAUD!

I accidentally sent money to a very old account that was with green dot bank and instead of them sending it back to my cash app where I mistakenly sent it from green dot bank told me until I show them id or give them my personal information they were going to send it back to me. They then told me they deducted money from it. They then told me they did not receive money from me. Then they told me they were going to send it back to me but they never gave it back. The account was closed so how were they able to still receive receive it? Do not trustthist bootl3eg so now they are holding my money up. I'm going to file charges against asap.

Do not use Green Dot prepaid cards and deposit money Green Dot will NOT resolve any issue with crediting your deposit. They will request receipt and lie about resolution pass you off to countless foreign speaking CSRs about your claim. Walmart should drop this service ASAP. The local store is somewhat helpful.
