Stay far away from Gotogate. After a malfunction in their payment page lead me to double book, I called them to cancel the extra booking, was assured it would be canceled and I would be fully refunded, and I would be notified via email when the cancellation was complete. Called again 2 days later, got the same reply. A week has gone by with no cancellation, no refund and no notification. After calling again and asking to speak with a supervisor, I was put on hold for ten minutes, and then promised to receive a cancellation notification within 48 hours. Well guess what, 48 hours have passed and they have yet to cancel my booking. I am now in the process of disputing my payment through my credit company. Do yourselves a favor and use another agency when booking flights.
They might change a price right after showing it on a meta search engine or simply change stops for a flight you just selected due to unavailability. During a majority of the booking process, you will not see the exact flights "you" chose like on many other sites but only show you the start and final destination. This makes it harder for you to spot an obvious mistake. The confirmation also just contains a link, so not even there you will see your exact flight details directly.
So, while they are not criminals in a legal sense (as far as I know), they use every trick in the book to deceive you (I book maybe 7-10 flights a year so I am no stranger to correctly booking flights). Of course, I do not only blame them but also myself - for not immediately blacklisting them after the first red flag.

It's a TOTAL SCAM website, Don't become a victim! I was lured into the site for a deal and they hid a trick to let you handle your own transportation from one airport (50 miles away) to another by yourself. Within 10 minutes I called, they refused to cancel it for a full refund. It's a TOTAL SCAM! By all means, avoid it!
#gotogate: Watch-out. Do not use them. This is a scam. They changed our flights without any warning (and at a different date. The tickets are useless). We asked for a refund, and after many emails/communications nothing happened. They refused (and this was several months ago).
No they are really bad. Sold us flights that were not even listed on the airlines website and then said that they could not do anything when they were cancelled. The lfights never existed! Apparently this is a common practice of this site which is part of a larger group Etraveli. Please beware they also represent Seat 24, travelstart, supersaver and flygresor.se... simply do not use any of these sites. They are not responsible for anything except scamming your hard earned cash. This is absolutely the most terrible company I have ever dealt with! I organised a trip for 10 people to Amsterdam and unfortunately one of the party died unexpectedly. The airline offered a full refund - but I had to claim it through Gotogate - who never passed it on, so are either that inept they cannot process a basic refund or are criminals and stole my money. Stay as far away as possible!
Terrible company will ruin your plan s and charge you no customer service. And hefty penalties. I won't be using them and please don't use them as so much headache. I don't know how they operate
Very bad experience with them cost losing lots of money, I came from Skyscanner with specific flight and after I finish All the information and payed the money found gotogate site booked different flight for me in 2 minuets I called the customers service to cancel it and arrange the right one but no help.
One of the worst company to deal, they change my flight times without my knowledge and i asked refund 7 weeks no refund been made, keeping my £1300 still and informed bank to get it back

Impossible to get any results if you require human assistance. No reply for several days. Same problem for thousands of other people. We were shocked when reading all these bad reviews its really a scam.
I have bought tickets through Gotogate, flying with Monarch airline, which unfortunately went bust few days before our flights happened.
When I approached gotogate for possible refund, they told me they have a hidden charge of £15 per person, just so everyone knows, the tickets in question were £17.20 per person.

DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME AND BOOK WITH THIS TRAVEL AGENCY. They ask for money for every service, the customer service is TERRIBLE, they are the furthest thing from friendly, they charge your card before securing your airline ticket. In a nutshell, UNRELIABLE set of SCAMMERS, AND THIEVES. I REPEAT, DO NOT BOOK WITH THEM. DONT DO IT, you are better off using cheap air or EVEN expedia. Any other travel agency will prove to be more beneficial.
I changed my flight within their 24-hour policy and I was literally ignored, spoke to seven different representatives... who were all rude and told me to call the airline as they cannot help. AT THE END OF THE DAY MY CARD WAS STILL CHARGED BY GOTOGATE. IT WAS THE WRONG TICKET INFORMATION AND I REFUSED TO PAY TO CHANGE IT AS I REQUESTED A CHANGE WITHIN 24 HOURS. Orederd online and got a very vague email seemingly confirming my booking, but when I opened the attachment there were pieces of info not relating to me at all plus a message canceling my booking for technical reasons.
Booked again and the same thing happened only that this time got a clear message that the booking was canceled for technical resaons.
Went a head and got my ticket elsewhere.
If I wasnt diligent enough I would have showed up for my flight and would be mad as hell.

I had to cancel my tickets for personal reasons one month before my flight. There is no one to talk to or email. I lost my flight fare. Never and i mean never book a flight with gotogate. I booked cancellation protection but it still didn"t help.
If you deal with these people you have been warned. They are confidence tricksters and fraudsters. I booked, very carefully as always, for myself and my wife. When the confirmation came back it was for me twice, except that the second name was titled Mrs, what is the chance that I put Mrs and then my name? I will tell you, none.
I contacted them immediately and they wanted 282 euros to put it right. I got in touch with Gulf Air Cyprus and they changed to my wifes name for 41 euros so I still lost that to these crooks. I looked on other review sites and people spoke of the same con trick.

Lured by a slightly lower price and then problems started. Mistakes after mistakes and troubles after troubles not solved by Customer support but charged with high prices. Not possible to understand the indian accent not possible to change or update.

Duped into their slightly cheaper quoted price, I booked one bag as always the same or less as airline charge in past bookings with others web booking sites. OH NO! Checked my booking on NORWEGIAN airlines website and NO check in bag appeared.
They arranged this matter for a week, but did not bother to inform me.
Saw that the NORWEGIAN price is £35 and Gotogate charged £59!
After 13 days Email responses from them said:
"We have checked baggage purchased with us is clearly visible on the airline website, we would request you to check it once again. Moreover we encourage our passenger to book extra services from the airline directly if in case passengers wants to book through us we follow our price structure which includes our commission therefore in case there is nothing which can be done."
Additional Email responses from them said:
"We would like to inform you that the baggage allowance and price can vary from the airline's website and a travel agency website.
We are therefore unable to refund any amount in this regard."
They lie brazenly and this is explanation how they make money!
I submitted evidence of fraud of Gotogate to VISA and got full refund.
The refund was done after 3 months without any commission.
