Have had this frying pan for a little over 3 months. Never cooked anything on high heat with it. Everything that we put in it now sticks. Maybe just a bad pan that got through quality control, but won't take the chance of buying another. We will spend a little extra for a better quality pan that everything won't stick in next time.
I purchased my pans in May for a gift that I was giving in November, I ordered from the Gotham site and paid $159 for my 10-piece set, looking online I'm finding the same exact set with the free gifts that they claim to include for $79! Same exact thing I called the company to find out and they said there is only a 30-day refund policy where on their site it says 90 either way I'm beyond that time and they will not compensate me at all I paid almost double for a pots and pan set! Do not order from these people the customer service is terrible and the prices are elevated double! Put a little bit more money into a green pan and get a reliable product with wonderful customer service!
I was very excited to have this pan, immediately everything stuck to it. I treated that pan with respect but it wasn't a two-way street. I called up my girlfriend who purchased one around the same time, and I said Patty do you like your pan because mine sucks, she had the same problems with her pan. Even cleaning a fried egg off of it was nearly impossible, I scrub a dub with a magic eraser because I got nothing to lose now, after 5 minutes of that I decided ain't nobody got time for that. I threw it in the recycle bin drove down to town and bought a nice diamond skillet. I seriously thought about upcycling it like using it for a saucer for a plant, but I didn't want to look at it anymore, I never thought a skillet could be depressing. I would have had better luck with the unseasoned Lodge cast iron, if you know what I mean.
If I could give Thane Inc, manufacturer of these pans, it would be a no stars! I called them to warranty the two pans I bought because food is sticking to them. Customer service rep hangs up on me! I called back 5 times, and get disconnected. Called corporate office and the US office and nobody answers the phone! Do not buy these pans. They don't last and corporate intentionally does not want to warranty the replacements!
I have never been this disappointed in a product. It does not matter how careful I was because it didn't matter. Food stuck almost from the get go. I should have read the reviews before i bought. I would like a refund but doubt that will happen in my lifetime.
The ads are outright lies. I bought the large and small fry pans and not for ONE DAY were the results as advertised. I even gave up after several attempts and used oil and spray, and still the food stuck and got ruined. These products are trash. Waste of money... and understatement.
Very dissappointed in the Gothem Steel I got from Walmart. Thin and cheap for the price.
I was so very excited till I'm not.Real Big Dissappointment! I🥺😭
I ordered a square non stick pan to try out before I ordered the entire set. I got the pan and it was already used. I think it was a return from some one else. Pan burned on bottom and food on the inside of pan where had not been cleaned out...
I bought a large set of pots and pans. I loved them so much I bought another as a Christmas gift for my mom. So easy to clean. Nothing sticks to these. Thank you Gotham Steel for making my life in the kitchen so much easier! I look more forward to cooking than ever.
I had got the set of 3 square pans and it has only been a little over 1 year and already they are sticking and burning my food. I called the number they have on line for customer service and basically they said there is a one tear warranty and I don't have the receipt so there was nothing they can do that it was just wearing out. So I go to the same store and read on the front of the package and it clearly says they have a 10 year warranty so she was clearly just didn't want to help me. I have pics I trying to cook scrambled eggs and it's was a mess. I was talking this product up for months not no more very hearting that they just brushed me off. DISAPPOINTED
I receive my Gotham pots but never received the free gift that were offered steamer basket, fryer basket and utensil set. I called three times and all three times. They said they would send it out it was canceled for some reason still haven't received it it's been over a month I gave them zero stars because they lied never had the intentions of sending me the free gifts it's a scam
We purchased this set and the grill from Canadian tire 10 months ago my husband bought it for me as a Christmas gift and I just want to mention how disappointed I am in your product all of my pans have been scratched we even have some of the steel coming off of some of the pots so I can no longer use them and everything is sticking to them and I'm just very unhappy! Wouldn't recommend.
While my wife was frying sausages in the pan there was a load bang that was as loud as a gun shot. We later found a cap/ cover that had come off of the inside of the frypan which we believe covered the attaching hardware for the handle to attach to the pan itself. It's good that we both have good hearts and that neither one of us were in the way of the projectile. This definitely needs to be looked at as a danger and safety hazard.
I bought a Gotham steel frying pan a while back, and within three months it was unusable. The non-stick coating was scratched from normal cooking heat, and everything was sticking to the pan. I called customer service and asked for a refund. Instead of a refund I was told to use brillo pads to clean my frying pan.
Needless to say that did not work, and I ended up with no refund and a non usable pan. In my opinion, their cookware does not meet up to their quality as advertised.
Pans are not like advertised and stick. After about 3 weeks of being used my large fry pan food started sticking. Bacon sticks and my Teflon pan that I have had for over 10yrs scratched up, food cooks great but pan just doesn't look nice and new but food doesn't stick.
I thought it was amazing at first then after several months the pans started sticking nothing changed in my cooking so I tried lowering temperature like the site suggested but it didn't help at all I thought there was a good warranty when I bought them but just hit a wall for any information
I was ready to phone and brag to all of my friends that I had a Gotham frying pan but I am so sad to say that
I am very disappoint in this frying pan because I used my steel flipper to turn over my eggs and when I got them out of the pan (it was easy to get them out___ just like on tv they just slid right out) and eat my eggs and then went to wipe out the pan. That is when I seen the 4 chips in the bottom of the pan. This was the first time I used it and now I have whatever those chips are made of inside me. I seen him on TV smashing the fry pan with a hammer and nothing happened to the fry pan. I just flipped two eggs over and wow four chips in the fry pan.
I have been using cast iron for over 5 years now. I stayed away from alleged nonstick due to warping, lack of nonstick over time and pricing to replace. I purchased Gotham steel as a $100 experiment to see if it was really worth the money. I am now 2 months in and I have used most items in my set extensively. I placed them in the dishwasher before using just to sterilize them. Instructions said use a little oil with first use so i did. In the frying pan I have cooked salmon, cod and trout filets, shrimp, scallops, pork chops, eggs, bacon, sausage rack of lamb and steaks ( not at the same time...lol) My meats all had bones in them and none scratched the pan. I use a sponge with the green scouring to clean them if needed and when not needed a plain dishrag and dawn and the clean with ease. I will admit coming from cast iron it is my norm to add a tap of oil to cover the bottom from habit and never using more than a medium heat. 4-5 setting on electric stove. I did cook my shrimp, scallops and fish with no oil and all items cooked came out perfect with minimal clean up. Again, I am 2 months into ownership and I made it a point to cook maybe 3-4 times a week since I have purchased. On note, they do not scratch easily, but I did bump one of the pots with my cast iron pan and it did take a chip out. I am a bit paranoid so I have bubble wrap that i use to keep each Gotham Steele item separated against accidental wear and tear. So far I am more than pleased. I am looking to purchase the bakeware set next for my cakes and cookies and see if they hold up just as well.
Upon seeing many commercials promoting this product I decided to buy the package deal. Now I've been cooking for a very long time so I know that when I'm cooking something on the stove it's always on low I don't like burnt food. But the problem with this product is they say it's non-stick that is not true. Every single pan that I have used has caused issues on cleaning it up. They really are not really non-stick cuz if they are I wouldn't have two pans already that I need to toss out because every time I try to cook something in those pans everything Sticks no matter if I use butter if I use oil or if I don't use anything cuz that's what the commercial says you don't need butter or oil and everything stays non-stick well this is not true. I haven't even had my cookware a year yet and already three pans are useless
The first time this was used I used a metal utensil and it scratched the pan. In addition, the lids have a metal handle that gets really hot; didn't realize this - but don't lift the lid without a potholder. I was not impressed with this cookware at all.
Answer: Did you get your money back? I bought a whole set. The handles get so hot. I burnt my hand. I have blisters and skin is burnt n coming off
