Golf Nonsense

I booked a "Hot Deal" with Golf Now for Seven Bridges and paid more though Golf Now then I would have had I booked directly through the course since I had to pay An extra $20 per cart when I arrived. It wasn't a hot deal: it was a Hot steal of my money. Then, there is no customer service number to contact. A rip off and major waste of time.
Never again. Fool me once...

Beyond angry. Canceled a tee time days ahead, my friends had concerns of Covid. They wouldn't refund, only a credit. I tried to book a tee time and can't find how to apply it anywhere on the site, they've hidden it well and they give you very limited time to use the credit. The only pay option was my credit card. I find it odd that they can't answer a phone due to the virus! Working with my credit card company now on a resolution. Ugh, never again.

I attempted to book a reservation at one golf course, ended up getting booked at another. I spent two hours trying to reach them to change. No luck. They don't have live customer support and when I tried to log into their site, I couldn't get them to send me a password reset (naturally, the password I used to start the account wouldn't work).

I tried calling their 800 number, they refer me to the website, which I could not log into because they wouldn't send a password reset).

I will be disputing the charge with my credit card company.

Getting Worse
July 21, 2020

Been a VIP or Plus Member since the beginning. They've put limits on how I can spend my own money. After I prepay, I've had to cancel a few. I understand not getting my money back directly. They use to give me a credit and next time purchased anytime, any day my credit was used first. Now, I do not get a credit. I get reimbursed with $20 coupons that can only be used Monday thru Thursday after 12:00 and purchased three days ahead. THIS IS MY MONEY NOT THE $10 CREDITS YOU EARN. I SHOULD BE ABLE TO SPEND MY MONEY ON ANY TEE TIME. I NOW HAVE ALMOST $300 WORTH OF $20 COUPONS THAT I AM STRUGGLING TO USE. LACK OF HOT DEALS AFTER 12 AS WELL.

Stole my money!

Made a reservation night prior. Cancelled the reservation immediately after. They notified me that they couldn't refund the money, so I went to the course to play. They resold my slot and wouldn't allow me to play. I couldn't be refunded or allowed to play? Thief!

Don't ask GolfNow for a refund. Apart from not giving you one, despite my cancellation being down to their erroneous booking system amid COVID-19 restrictions, they don't even acknowledge your request. The customer service email address doesn't exist so I wrote a letter to their complaints address in Belfast. That was two weeks ago and still waiting... Thank goodness for Barclaycard who back charged the £32 booking fee to my account.
Deleted the app from my phone now.

They lie to customers in a passive-aggressive manner. In April of 2020, they announced a 2 month extension of memberships due to Covid-19. "In order to help our GOLFPASS+ members enjoy their benefits and take advantage of their membership during this time, we are extending your membership an extra 2 months." Now my membership is in the 2 month extension period and I discover the policy is monthly tee time credits (last month they changed that from Unlimited Fee Hot Deal M-Th PM tee to $10 off Hot Deal anytime without notice) won't be issued during the 2 months. That is a benefit of the membership and it's not what they told their customers. It's disgusting treatment.

I have tried to book today and spent nearly two hours getting Checkout Error, credit card not authorised, messages. Customer service could not see my transactions nor explain the problems, nor could they book for me. Useless! The web pages do not allow you to go back easily, if you have chosen an incorrect option, as is easy to do since the options are not fully outlined at each step. You also are unable to select different modes for each golfer, such as two walking and two carts, but have to make two separate bookings. Even though I purchased Golfpass to get lower convenience fees on Golfnow I have not been able to save in two months trying. Generally I fail, then call the course and often get a cheaper price. Only the Hot Deals are worthwhile!

I booked a tee time through these crooks and because of covid emergency I canceled it 2 days before my tee time.
I get an email from them that they will not refund the money but to make me happy gave me 14 $20 promo codes,
Which doesn't work ever!

This is a $#*!in' scam, it's better to deal with courses directly. BTW It took me 4 days to get a customer service rep ON CHAT! This is a $#*!in' joke! These guys are scam artists!

I booked a tee time at a course for $148.00 (2 players) when I showed up the course had no record of my tee time, apologized and made me pay $95.00 for 2 players which was the correct cost after 3:00pm. I tired calling golf now but you can only use their chat feature which I tried but could not resolve the issue. I will never use them again.

They change the VIP agreement in the middle of the year! When I signed up they told me I would receive 1 uncapped "Hotdeal", well I did the first 4 months. When I called and was on hold for 57 mins. They told me that deal has changed. WHAT?

My first time using their "service", I stepped up and purchased a "Hot Deal" for our 4-some for $117.66. Torrential downpours closed the course for the first weekend in June-both Saturday & Sunday. Our tee-time was for Sunday. Looking at my credit card statement the following week there were TWO identical charges for $117.66 one on Saturday, and the one purchased for Sunday. I spoke with the Pro and he assured me the charge(s) would be reversed within a couple of days. He had no explanation for the Saturday charge on my credit card. Nearly a month later, with no resolution I've contacted my credit card company to dispute the charges. The telephone number for Golf Now Customer Service is merely a recording providing no assistance what so ever. Beware!

NOT GOOD

Golf now has gotten to be a bait and switch, money grabing app. They have raised prices to where it's cheaper just to go to the course. You can get green fee with a cart cheaper at the course then Golfnow has walking. The rewards are worthless. They are impossible to even use. The membership keeps going up, the benifits keep going down. Most of the tee times they have you must book for at lest two people (does me no good). Credit given for a canceled tee time does not come up when you want to use it, and is not even good at the original course it was booked for. GOLFNOW is not worth anything anymore. I will not be renewing my subscription.

Made a tee time reservation through the golf course web site and cancelled 1 day later. The golf course said the refund has to be issued by GolfNow. GolfNow does not offer an option to talk with a representative by phone. Also their recorded website states a CHAT service is available but it is NOT. What a scam!

I am pissed with GolfNow website, There is no option to talk to someone and the live chat is also an automated prescript. I am golf plus member for last one year. My membership was supposed to expire in April 2020 but due to Covid 19, GolfNow extended to June 17th, but I cannot modify or cancel my tee time because the GolfNow system doesn't recognize the extension. There is no way I can contact some one in GolfNow. I'm trying for last 2 days and same automated message on the phone too. Really frustrated.

Terrrible Business

I have never actually written a review before but my experience with this has infuriated so much that I feel forced to write this.

This company has actually taken 75 dollars of my money. I booked a tee time and tried to cancel it in accordance with their terms and conditions. However they refused to refund my booking. There is no way to talk to a representative because when you call they direct you to their garbage website which doesn't actually display anything. If you have any dealings with this company be prepared to have your money taken away. Whoever runs this should be ashamed of themselves
