I used Golfnow for the first time and the hot deal was only $5.00 less than course but with fees it was only about $3.00 less. I booked 1 player because I was playing by myself. After booking I was invited by someone else. I cancelled tee time & cancelation says you may receive refund. I cancelled 22 hours & 30 minutes before tee time. I understand 24+ hours is on website. Golfnow would not budge on refund not even a credit. So the money I paid was kept by Golfnow and the course gets nothing. Even if I received some credit i would be fine but nothing & course gets nothing, Golfnow(NBC universal) kept all money.
For a $5.00 saving I will never use again. Book with course!
A couple years ago...booked a tee *******@Van Zandt Country Club...got confirmation #...drove 2 hours only to find out they did not honor GolfNow...neither the club or GolfNow would make good on tee time...will never use again and would caution anyone from using this service
Golf now sucks balls. Be smart and just call the course to make a tee time. Wish i could give it 0 stars. $#*! you Golf Now.
I've received an email confirming reservations and billing for golf at River Oaks Golf Club through Golf Now, LLC under my name. The only problem is that I never made any such reservations, which obviously gives rise to the concern my identity may have been compromised and services are being billed under my identification (i.e., credit cards, etc.). I contacted Golf Now and provided them with the confirmation number and offered any other information contained in the billing statement. They wouldn't provide me with anything, but, rather, kept asking for my personal information (personal phone number, personal email, mailing address, etc.), which, given the circumstances, I'm not comfortable providing. How does one find out if their information has been compromised if Golf Now appears to be acting in defense of the potential fraudsters. Is Golf Now party to the process, or is this just a mistake on their part they won't own up to? There's no way to tell if they won't provide any information. On every level, this is exceedingly shady.
Tried to book then click payment button then they said the teem time is gone and charged my credit cards. It is classic behavior of the stupid site. GolfNow doesn't even have contact email address to complain or reimbursement. This is terrible site where consumers SHOULD NOT USE. Period.
My credit is never valid.
Golf now fees are never waived by coupons.
For canceling, I have to call the golf course most of the time.
I paid for $99 per year for membership, and I thought it would be better. No. It's the same.
Please folks, use Golfnow as a reference point to search tee time. And move on to the golf course website or call them to book it.
Don't book on Golf Now they false advertise and won't refund your money. Don't waste your money. No!
This web is so expesive for the service it provide. Costume service is terrible. But the most serious problem is when you cancel a reservation in the right way, they put your money as an available credit, but you only can use this money as hotdeal not in your regular reservations. In my case, I never play hot deal, it means that I can't recovery my money.
We had to cancel our tee time because the course did not have enough carts and we did not want to wait too long. Golfnow.com states that they never refund the booking fees and taxes. To make it short, they keep whatever you pay initially to book your tee time.
Apparently golf now does not care about people with Covid. They would not refund me for one of my players who got Covid on a hot deal purchase. It was not a valid reason for a refund. Only a credit. Despicable!
I used GolfNow in the past and had some good experience. However recent experiences are so disappointing that I would NOT recommend using GolfNow to anyone including myself unless GolfNow fix the deficiencies immediately.
A recent bad experience is described below:
1) GolfNow posts so called "Hot Deals" However, these deals are bogus deals if the tee time is for some distant future dates even though those tee times are posted on the GolfNow website as available tee times. I tried to secure a tee time well in advance (~6 weeks in advance), so went through making a tee time reservation and made a CC payment. Instead of getting a confirmation of the transaction completion, I got a message saying "there is an error and contact GN Customer Service" When I called Customer Service, the rep told me that hot deals are not a valid if the deals are too far in advance. She acknowledged that those postings are errors and wrong. If that is the case, why does GolfNow post this "false" information on the website? Or why doesn't GolfNow FIX this deficiency of posting FALSE information that misleads consumers?
2) Worse yet, I checked my CC after the invalid transaction, and found that to my surprise, the fees are charged to my CC. I can't believe that GolfNow processed this invalid/incomplete transaction and charged my CC while it is GolfNow that maintains its website content and transactions, and popped up a message saying some error occurred acknowledging that the transaction is not complete.
All in all latest experiences with GolfNow is so bad that I would not recommend anyone using it unless GolfNow fixes its practice of processing of members' credit card on invalid transactions, and posting invalid information on deals.
Both of these deficiencies are enough for consumers to perceive that this kind of ecommerce site is a bogus one and should AVOID it.

An occasional deal on a tee time, which you can find through courses directly. More importantly, you can almost never change or cancel a tee time because it must be done through golfnow. This requires them to be open, and have a competent person on the other line. On more than one occasion I've waited on hold while they supposedly called the course, yet they replied saying they couldn't get through, however, when I call I get through immediately yet can't make the changes myself.
Stay away from this app
Canceled a pre paid tee time way before 24 hours and was not given a refund. They would only give me credit on my account. Have used this app numerous of times and to be honest haven't had an issue. Don't like the idea of forcing me to play golf and only using the app. Would of been great customer service if the would of at least done a one time courtesy.
I booked a game at Grand Valley and cancelled the following day (well ahead of the game). Golfnow refunded me the money a week later less "transfer fee" which amounts to around 7%. This is the last time I book my games through Golfnow.
Joined GolfNow a five years ago and worked well. Now all of the courses we play do not accept any rewards. I have 15 rewards and can't use anyone of them. They extended GolfNow + during the Covid pandemic and got stuck with a $85 course fee when a hurricane went through because they say the course didn't close. Most of the courses don't accept the rewards but GolfNow still lets them promote tee times on the site. Terrible management.
In my first 7 days I made a tee time, which was charged to my credit card as expected. But when I cancelled it only put a CREDIT into my Golfnow account, not a refund to my credit card. I also agreed to a GolfPass membership which cost $99 even though I do not recall that being made clear. The email I got telling me I was a member made no mention of a cost. When I called their support line for a full refund they told me I had used my first month's benefits when I made the one tee time so they could only refund the unused months. I pointed out that I had played NO GOLF but this did not seem to matter. Ultimately I had to dispute the charges on my credit card. STAY AWAY from GolfNow. The NBC logo suggests this is an upstanding company but it is not.
If you cancel the same day they won't give you your money back and probably they kept the money
I booked a T time it says 12:58 and got a 4 pm for 18 holes cancelled immediately, since I use PayPal they ( Golf now) won't refund my money arguing that is was less than the 24 hours so I guess golf now is keeping the money, pretty shady on their part when I called them they wanted me to sell me a membership for $99 in order to return the $76 saying that I will the membership for $23
Canceled a golf reservation at a course 5 days prior to playing. Golfnow is charging almost $10 for adminstration fee... sleazy!
This was my worst experience trying to book a tee time. I checked the Golf Now website for the course I wanted and it displayed tee times that I wanted. I clicked on those and received a message that those times were not available. The course was 2 miles from my home so I called the direct number to the pro shop. The call was transferred to a GolfNow answering service located in a foreign country. I could hear several voices in the background so I knew right away this was going to be a cluster. The woman gave me the earliest available tee time and I accepted. She proceeded to take my email and credit card info. When she tried to enter the tee time in her system, an error came up and she said she had to transfer me to the pro shop. The pro shop did not answer so she came back on. She said call back in 10 minutes. I did, same thing happened but now the earliest tee time was an hour later. Same thing happened 3 times and I just disconnected. My mistake was not driving to the pro shop and get the tee time.
Answer: Because they got too big for their britches. They think they have such a clientele that the few who will drop off are insignificant. They would not even refund my fees for an accidental booking I made for the wrong day. You are correct, I have been going thru the local websites of the courses themselves. I was a customer for 5 years with about 40 bookings per year, they took away my free fees and the bonuses. I have not booked with them in 4 months.
Answer: Golfnow sent an E-mail to me (Dec) informing me that points must be used by Dec. 31. Ok tried to find a tee time for Sat or Sun because I work M-F. Not one single location available in Tampa, Lakeland and Orlando to book. Having 6600 points that I lose, it seems more notice would have been provided to assist in using valued points (converted $88.20). Nearest course several hours away (Daytona) not happening. Contacted Golfnow and Mr. Joe Babcock of customer service, (oxymoron), had me call 800-767-3574 to get a tee time, what a joke, lady on phone was of no value and promised her supervisor would call back. Hell will freeze first, never again do business with these cons. Thanks, Douglas Roger Sundean
GolfNow provides discounted tee times at local golf courses.
