I ordered a cake for my son's party and it did not arrive on time. Goldbelly tried to blame slow shipping times for the delay, but they didn't even ship the cake until the day it was scheduled to arrive. They refused to refund my money. I would up buying another cake from a local grocer 5 minutes before party just so we'd have something. Disappointed by Goldbelly's lack of understanding.
The food was wonderful, it came in just two days, ice packs still frozen. I won't be able to order again for a while but I will tell everyone how wonderful my experience was. I was able to order that time because my stimulus check had come and I am almost 75 years old, born in Danforth Maine and wanted to help out a place of business in my birth state, So very glad I did! I really liked that I could choose the date for delivery. Everything arrived on time and the quality was excellent. In this different time of social distancing, we were able to enjoy one of our favorite NY foods and relive good memories.

It was great. I ordered these in memory of my 26 year old son who passed away. I took him as a teenager to Chicago and ate at Gino's East. We ordered donuts for $59 (yes quite pricey for 12) but they are gluten free and from our favorite place in Chicago. It was our first time ordering. My kids were so excited to get them. Upon their arrival, we were crushed. Completely melted to the wrappers and the package box was torn open. They arrived on time so it was not due to delays with shipping. We felt completely ripped off. I immediately contacted customer service and requested a refund. It took a week to hear back and Only to find out per policy, NO REFUNDS! They do not stand behind the products they sell. For my first experience and the price. I was very disappointed and had to share so others do not make the same mistake as me. Big RIP OFF AND SCAM! DO NOT RECOMMEND!
I ordered an $80 cake for my mother under the impression that since the cake would be traveling a while it would be frozen and packed with dry ice. No she gets it and it's a ball of junk! I will never use this site again!

The cheese container for my cheese steaks broke open in delivery. They will refund the cheese but as for the ruined CHEESE steak sandwich I'm out of luck. I would have never paid 78$ for steak and bread sandwiches. Profits over service, keep away from them

I ordered the shake shack burgers. Basically just paid $60 for a package of regular ground beef and some buns. Instructions didn't make sense, packages all required scissors to open, it didn't include tomato or lettuce so I had to send out a second order for additional supplies, and it honestly didn't taste any different from a regular hamburger.
Skip this nonsense and just go buy some regular burger meat for $10...
Well, I logged on to order from a completely different restaurant and it was not listed. So I searched for other places. I wish the restaurant and vendor options were longer.
Plus, I was told one delivery would be made by TU 6/23 but then get an email it would be delivered Fri 6/26 instead.
The first delivery was not completely frozen but we decided to eat that day. Seems shipping took longer and Ice packs started to lose their muster.
The bagels were good when they first arrived. I would like to suggest that the company provide a sheet of paper on how to keep them fresh because after only 4 days there was mold. Perhaps indicate that if they cannot be consumed within 3 days to freeze them.
Wow! It was a lot of boneless perfectly seasoned Cajun turkey with corn bread stuffing. My guests loved it. I will never be able to top it for next Christmas dinner.
Only thing I can do is order again next year. Thank you for making my dinner so special.
This item was a gift. The couple watched the delivery on camera. Unfortunately, delivery person dropped the box from waist high and it bounced a few times. Although packaged well did not survive the volley ball toss.
Flavor was good and presentation slightly lopsided. I would consider ordering again.

Answer: They aren't necessarily a scam, but very poor customer service policies. If anything goes wrong with your order, like it did with mine, they just blocked me from their Facebook page so I couldn't leave a review. It's just luck if your order arrives and looks as you would expect and if it doesn't you are out of luck. Just contact local bakeries or restaurants and have them deliver for you, no reason to pay Goldbelly and have a third party who cares nothing about your order throw it around in the back of their truck and deliver it trashed. Goldbelly is unscrupulous and a big risk of wasted money.
