I bought an iPhone X through Glyde site 3 years ago and everything went well and worked as it should. However, I went to change the sim card I learned that the phone has been added to the black list of phones that owe money to the carrier. I am with Verizon and they said I have to track down the previous owner and get them to pay the debt and clear the phone from the black list before it can be allowed to be used again. I contacted Glyde and they do not keep records of transactions that old. Not sure why they don't keep records of transactions and consider 3 years of recordkeeping old. I have kept every email I have ever sent and received since the early 2000s -- it is not that hard. Unfortunately, the email receipt from Glyde for this transaction had no useful information in it -- all it had was the order id number. It did not document the seller, the phone IMEI number, or anything concrete. It was my understanding that all phones bought through the Glyde platform are free and clear to own but clearly there is a loophole to beware of.
I asked the Verizon rep how this is even possible given that I have already been using the for 3 years on Verizon and she said the seller probably sold while money was still owed on it, but it took awhile for their provider to catch up to them and black list it. At Verizon, the black list dis not get checked against my phone until another transaction happened, which in this case was me switching sim cards.
So now I am stuck with a perfectly good iPhone X that I cannot use with Verizon, bought through Glyde.
Here was their response:
"Hi John. I am very sorry this issue is happening now. Unfortunately we are not able to go back to this account record because it has been too long. We can only go back to a certain point unfortunately. With that said we are unable to track the previous owner for you. I wish it was within the warranty period - 2 years at most, we would have replaced it. I apologize
Mona from Glyde"
I have bought a few phones from the Glyde platform, but with this loophole available to sell unpaid for phones that later get blacklisted, and no long term support/record keeping at Glyde, I have lost confidence in this marketplace.
I have bought three phones from Glyde. Two were defective. One had a broken antenna, which I had only discovered one month after the return period closed. One that was recently purchased had a defective battery that would cost me $50 to replace by Apple
Only a 7 day free return policy and we have been out of town with me trying to get used to this camera. I will be trying to figure out how to return it or I suppose resell it thru someone. I hate my Google Pixel 4a. Screen is way too small and the battery life is awful even with battery saver on and app saver settings. Will try to upgrade to the 4a5G, for size and function. My husband has that one and camera is much better as well as battery life. Just very disappointed in this Pixel phone versus others I have had.
While the selection is good, the customer service is poor. I received a phone that worked fine except the left side of the touchscreen did not work. Had to send it back before they would send a new one. When customer service agent says that she understands, it does not mean agreement. Horrible customer service, defective phones. They are supposed to check out the phone before they send it. I was told they would not expedite my replacement. Now I will be several days without a phone while they send me a replacement. Would give zero stars if possible. Run, run, away.
Downloaded this at seller's request to verify that everything is working on iPhone. Seems like most but not all sensors and functions were tested.
I purchased a phone and I am very pleased with it. Great service!
I bought a "good" condition iPhone X just for a week later it had gotten the green screen of death. I tried reaching out to the company by calling many numbers that were listed and no one ever picked up.
-My phone came in with minor internal screen damage.
-Glyde was very difficult to get in touch with.
-When they did reach out (actually by phone, a surprise), I was given a 5% discount. Meh.
-Prices don't quickly adjust to other used phone prices across the market (ex. Ebay). So you might pay more. Glyde didn't feel any less sketchy than other marketplaces, given their being reticent to respond.
-But I did get a phone, and I wrote this review with it.
The photos attached to *all* the auctions shared the same photo, so the scratches on the device that I purchased could not be seen. This was a gift, and the damage was a bit more than I was expecting.
The instructions upon receipt are to load the Glyde app to confirm the correct model. Unfortunately, on the iPhone 8, the credential button is not accessible on the main screen - scrolling will snap the button away.
There are obvious improvements here.
First time buyer, very satisfied.

From the website to the final step was so easy! The price was a fair price and even hit a discount. Awesome experience from start to end
The phone came quickly and in good packaging. Phone looks almost new condition, so this was a great buy. No regrets. Thank you!
Thanks for the quick service! And fair price. Quick delivery and phone testing is a nice perk. Thanks again
Very satisfied with this purchase. It came in great condition. Only complaint was there was no charger. I already knew that from the description.
Great condition, everything great. Shopping for an iphone glyde is where it at.
Came as expected. Buying was easy. Easy website to navigate. Only down side is this survey making me write 50 characters when my review is just basically good
I bought a refurbished Samsung S10e, and everything is perfect about it. Love the fact that I spent less than half of retail!
This was my first purchase on the new glyde platform. The phone I received had a problem but I was able to communicate with the seller and send the phone back for a replacement. The replacement phone worked for me. The Glyde Connect app was easy to use on the new phone to confirm the diagnostics. Good prices and simple to use interface!
Answer: Glyde is a great companyi did have a bad experence with a purchase but glyde sent out a return label on them and i was credited really quick. When dealing with companies on the internet i use my amazon or my paypal so that way its not hlding up my personal account. At any rate my issue was the person that sold me the phone had sent me a phone that was originally a sprint phone but flashed to cricket carrier when i tried to switch it to sprint they werent able to program the phone and i was already a customer only they couldnt figure out why. When we were programming the phone it showed the name cricket as we completed a reset of the system. So most people these days they jailbreak phones or flash maybe another work at any rate your covered regardless but i would recommend
