Great way to sell old devices

Recently tried buying an iPhone 5s but I received an email stating they needed more information about the credit card I used. I gave them the information and received an email hours later saying the information wasn't valid and my account couldn't be processed. THEY CANCELLED MY ORDER & PUT MY ACCOUNT ON HOLD. Very disappointed with their service.

I wish I could give negative stars. I sold my fully working, iphone 5S 64g in great condition to a buyer on glyde, and I had it professionally inspected before I sent it to make sure there was no damage to it. About 2 weeks after I shipped it, I got an email from glyde saying that the buyer claimed the screen needed to be replaced and would I take HALF of what the agreed price was? I replied immediately, said no, I knew for a fact the screen was fine and would they please send it back because obviously something fishy was going on. Nearly a MONTH later, after emailing glyde again to ask where the phone was, I received my phone... it was wrapped in a plastic bag with a label like it had been put in a store, and when I turned on the phone I discovered that the SIM card had been removed. I messaged glyde to tell them this, and to say that I needed the SIM card returned to me or to be paid for the phone, and I received about a week later a reply that "glyde doesn't track SIM cards". Period. Basically, "screw you, customer". I messaged them asking if I could be put in contact with the buyer, and I've not heard back. I am so, so frustrated and disappointed. Screw you, customer? No, screw you, glyde. I wish I had read these reviews before using your service.

STAY AWAY FROM GLYDE... sell your phone in person. You might make less money, but at least you don't have to deal with nonsense and having your property damaged/lost/stolen in an "approved transaction". I repeat, STAY AWAY FROM GLYDE.

If you are thinking of using this company and have reservations there is a reason! This company has the worst customer service EVER! Even worse you can't bank on getting what you "think" your buying! I learned a HUGE rule of thumb through this nightmare don't EVER work with a company or anyone for that matter that is going to be taking your money that does not have a phone number to provide in the event there is a problem! ESPECIALLY when there is a problem!
My daughter had her phone stolen and she is soon off to college so we needed to get her a new phone the cheapest way possible. We decided to go with Glyde because we thought it would be safer and might get a better deal... WRONG! Not only did we NOT get the phone in the picture (wrong color) but it had scratches that were not only NOT disclosed but my daughter had paid extra for a "certified" phone (which meant that it would be the best quality you could get... in other words NO scratches) In our opinion it should of been in mint condition plus it also meant that you could get the phone sooner and shipping would be expedited. Instead it did not arrive when stated (in spite of the extra money we paid for that "certified") but also the wrong color and with scratches... REALLY?! My daughter had to leave on a trip without a phone and that is just not okay! Especially when we notified them immediately (as best we could since they have no phone number to reach them!) via email. Once they knew that we should have never had the money taken from her account or at best returned immediately. The money should not be released to seller until customer has received it and "satisfied!". Glyde knew we were not keeping it and sending it back a. S.a. P. Once they knew that they should have released our money so we could of at least had time to get her another phone before she left! Great lesson here any company that does not have the integrity or professionalism to provide a number in the event that there is a problem should NOT be in business! NO EXCUSE Glyde!

I have been a gamer most of my life. As an adult, I have been constantly faced with the challenges of staying up to date on current trends in gaming without feeling a massive hurt on my wallet. One of the ways thrifty gamers have found to get some game buying funds back on the table is to trade in games after we are done with them. I did this for quite some time, buying a new game for ~$60, only to trade it in a week or two later for half the price (I'm looking at you, GameStop). While this made ends meet, I was always longing for something a little more true to the market value. And in stepped Glyde!

I heard about the site from a reliable major gaming news site back when it first came about. In all of my experience with Glyde (upwards of 20 transactions), I have nothing but praise for the system they use, as well as the friendly and helpful customer service staff they employ. This is a barebones, simple marketplace for REAL people to sell their used games (and movies, CDs, and books) to REAL buyers. The prices are more than fair, especially when compared to major retailers. Shipping could not be easier - when you sell an item, Glyde automatically ships you a pre-addressed mailer. Simply place the item inside, seal, and drop off at the nearest USPS drop box.

In essence, this site has saved my hobby! I can't say enough great things about it! And to many of the people who have had problems with it, don't blame Glyde. It is a marketplace, meaning that people are responsible for shipping the items, not the administrators of the site. They do all they can to ensure a speedy delivery time, but sometimes the stars don't align. In my substantial experience with Glyde, however, problems have been minimal.
