Ginny's is a bunch of bad actor scammers that will steal your identity, will open a credit account in your name, and will send you items you purportedly ordered and never received, and then they will threaten to trash your credit score, your ability to purchase a car, your ability to obtain employment, your ability to obtain housing if you don't pay up. Sounds pretty cancerous to me.
Here is what I did to combat this fraudulent company:
File a identity theft/fraud complaint with Identifytheft.Gov, your State's Attorney General, and the three Credit Bureau's, Experian, Equifax and TransUnion.
Then contact the three credit bureau's and put a freeze on your credit report.(Creditors now cannot open an account without your consent).
Then place a fraud alert with the three credit bureaus on your Ginny's account.
It does take some time and effort, but it was worth it. I didn't get scammed $525 and my trashed credit score was restored back from 662 to 818.
More than likely Ginny's will then close your account and walk away from their scam.
Ginnys is untrustworthy they shut my credit off because they made an acct for a relative of mine without any information (they got it all online)and tried to say I did it but thanks for 3 way calling and recording them saying this my relative reported them for fraud and they want me to write them a letter of apology to reinstate my credit which I'm not doing also they are all with seventh Avenue, Montgomery ward and Swiss colony which they shut my credit to all of them off, DO NOT TRUST THEM!
I guess I lucked out. Everyone that I spoke with were EXTREMELY nice. The shipping was VERY fast and the item was beautiful. Sorry that so many had a bad experience. I wanted to come by and share mine. I just wish that they reported to the credit bureaus.
I received a letter from a collection agency for this company. I have never heard of nor bought anything from this place. Never received catalogs, bills, items NOTHING from Ginny's. The collection agency has little info and gave me incorrect numbers for Ginny's.
I got a great catalog in the mail with my prequalified credit. I excitedly placed my christmas gift order only to be denied credit. So this dinged my credit again by another credit inquiry.
Please don't send a catalog with prequalified credit if it's not true.
I have been Ginny's customer for about 10 years I've been loyal and I have never been late on my payment last week in order on the phone through Ginny's, I first made sure my payment would only go up 5$, as I am disabled with a small income. I also have a Montgomery Ward account which is fully paid off. For some reason the woman on the phone put the order on my Montgomery Ward instead of my Ginny's imagine my surprise when I got a bill in the mail for $30 from my Montgomery Ward account. I called them I explained to them over and over again to each different Department the mistake that was made on their end, that if they don't fix it is will have to go without food 5 days a month. By the end of our call I was in tears and they were adamant that I placed that order online at wards and it was my own fault.
I placed a ordered on August 17th 2020, and sent a $20.00 check. A few days later I decided to canceled the order. But, Ginnys cashed the check anyway, even after I had canceled.
Now im fighting tooth and nails with Ginnys trying to get my money back from these crooks since August 17th. I want my money and someone to contact me about my refund Asap. Order # JA*******
Someone opened an account in my name and trashed my credit score for not making payments on the account. I have reported them to the FTC, BBB and the attorney general. This is a FAKE company!
My account required a Down Payment. I have proof payment was made... But the system fodnt process order when made payment. I just thought to call back bcuz wanted to make sure grandbaby would have before Christmas. He will not have a Christmas bcuz of them. The worst customer service and will hang up in your face if don't want to listen to your complaints. They don't notate the account. You have to repeat self Everytime pick up the phone. They have an uncomfortable unconcern attitude.

Ginny's. Com sent me a bill in October 2013 for items they said was purchased by me in April 2013 and shipped to another address. They would not tell me where it was shipped. I never heard of this company. After some discussion with the representative, I discovered my SSN was not used to open the account and someone had made several payments with a credit card that wasn't mine. I was initially relieved that my information was not used but concern they had my name, address and phone number on file. I received forms today from Ginny's.com asking me for my SSN, DOB, Copy of my driver's license, current address, previous addresses and signatures. This is clearly a FRAUD ALERT. I am in the process of filing a police report, filing a complaint with the US Post Office and with the FTC. Beware of doing business with this company.
They sent me Magazine say I am approve for $400 with $25 per Month, well at checkout they ask me to pay down payment of $115 for the idem I want to buy, ridiculous, if you don't trust us just don't send magazine with buy now pay later fake ads
I have been aGinny's customer since 1990 & have always been pleased up until my last order. I ordered 5 boxes of the selfstick floor tiles(item #jl*******) & the roll top veggie bin(#JL*******) received the items in good condition & a timely manner.The floor tiles are of the poorest quality & surprised me by being in the catalog at all.The tiles DO NOT stick for more than 15 minutes & I had to buy glue to stick them down. Even that did not work well as the corners are now coming up.The tiles break Very easily & half of 1 box had the (supposedly)sticky stuff on less than half of each tile. I was totally disappointed in this product & although I've always been pleased with Ginny's products before, I am not sure that I will order again.
My daughter wanted Kareoke machine which i bought it through here on Ginnys. What do you know? They shipped the box as is... so of course my daughter first one home and saw her christmas gift. The gift wasn't boxed at all. I called to let them know customer service lady was so rude and said she doesnt deal with the shipping and that to return it id have to pay for shipping and handling. Even though they made the mistake. People dont be fooled these conpanies which include their sisters conpanies are all horrible. Thanks
Got approved for 400 credit, so I figure I try this company, out, and wh yI did this is, because I got a mail for no credit check nor money down, bunch of bs, they want me to put a down payment on it, what a buch of crock bs comany... LIES

Masks took 2 months to arrive. They looked nothing like the photo on their site and they are very cheap. Do not purchase from this site. They will also not refund you.
Good to know all of this... I just received a catalog with the whole "You are approved for $400, buy now, pay later" crap. I was going to place an order but now I am not.
Ginny's customer service is a joke. Their products break easily and they say they dont receive your returns so you a stuck with a bill anyway. Do not buy from here.
As others have noted. I received a letter stating due to the Amy if my order $670 they could not process without advance remittance. Only problem we have NEVER EVER placed an order with Ginny's. They want us to send in a payment form with credit card information. They hit your credit report. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS SCAM COMPANY. Do not reply to the letter.

My wife went to their website to make the minimum payment as she has for several months now. She made the same selections as usual, but instead of the usual screen asking for confirmation she got a screen stating something to the effect of congratulations! You've paid off your account. She called Ginny's customer service and spoke to an EXTREMELY rude woman who said there was nothing she could do and the over $700 charge to our debit card could not be corrected to the minimum payment. She claimed that it was our mistake and they would do nothing to help.
We have had to pay $30 to our bank to stop the charge, as it would leave us overdrawn.
Shady practices and terrible customer service.
