I ordered many items from Ginny's as Xmas gifts. One of the items, a set of bowls which cost $49.99, arrived with the largest bowl in the set broken. I called on 12/14 and the representative informed me that a replacement bowl wound be sent and I would receive it by 12/22. Today I called Ginny's and the representative said it takes 3-4 weeks for a replacement item to be shipped! I asked to speak with a supervisor but she said all she could do was to offer a refund for shipping, which doesn't help as this was the main Xmas gift I got for the person. I am very unhappy!
I recently ordered a set of cheese curds and the batter mix to go with them. It took 11 days to receive the order and then when I open the box, the cheese curds have GREEN MOLD on them! I am absolutely disgusted with this and will never order again! Buyer beware!
I will NEVER order from this company again. Did once but never recieved a billing statement. They had the name wrong (which was their fault) took me a dozen phonecalls several emails & an act of congress to get it changed. The people working there are VERY rude. I paid off my shipment in 1 lump sum & let them know they are rude & more like a scam. I don't know how they stay in business.

I received an unsolicited letter from Ginny's saying I had to pay them $460 to complete a recent order. The letter does not indicate what I apparently ordered, but includes a payment form to send a check in to them. They give a phone number to call if I hadn't placed the order in question, but that number is different than the one on their website. I don't order from catalogue companies and didn't know this company even existed so I knew this was a scam. I kept the letter but won't be calling them since they obviously don't have my payment information. I already have alerts placed on all my accounts so if they try to make a scam charge I'll report them immediately. No one should be ordering from these con artists - protect yourselves, people.
Hi Missy, We are sorry to hear you received a letter for an order you didn't place. We would be happy to look into this order for you. Please send us your contact information via email so we can cancel the order and make sure we put the information in as a fraudulent order. Please send the email to socialcs@sccompanies.com. We look forward to hearing from you soon.
I was going to place an order for a sofa but they said it wasn't available only AFTER withdrawing nearly $200 for a down payment. Then when they said (2 days later) that it was available I called and said forget it (I had already gotten one,) they said no problem. After waiting the normal week for my account to be credited I still hadn't gotten my money back. I called and they said they never received the money but my bank tells me otherwise. This place will not take emails from me or my bank only faxes and snail mail?!?! Are we not in the 21st century? This has been a huge and unforgivable problem. I can not say enough how bad these people are. Even during my phone call to the office the person I spoke to was rude and $#*!y!
I love this site and have made many purchases (also at the sister companys, country door, midnight velvet, etc), the quality is fantastic, some things are a little pricey, but i love the selection on the kitchen products. Also alot of the different products are offered across the different sister companys. Like ginnys will have quilts from country door and country door carries pots and pans that ginnys has. Can get everything to coordinate in your rooms at one place. The customer service is always nice and helpful and besides the email confirmations, if for whatever reason something is delayed, they have always called me to let me know and in some cases offered substitutes or discounts to keep the order instead of cancelling it because of the delay.
I recently checked my credit online and saw a negative mark from ginnys for $50.00. Out of concern I contacted ginnys because I do not recall ever having. A ginnys account, and if I do in fact owe them the money, I want to pay them. When I called them, there story makes no sense at all. They claim I ordered something but they can not tell me what it was, and that I returned it. This makes no sense at all. For several reasons, no where does there site make mention of having to pay to return defective merchandise, especially $50.00? Thats a huge restocking fee, not to mention the. Negative mark was not on my credit report a few months ago, but it's there now, from over 5 years ago? Why cant they at least tell me what I supposidley purchased? I honestly remember thinking of opening an account, but neither my wife or myself remember ever actually doing so. Its no wonder they cant tell me what was purchased, because nothing was ever purchased. Total scam and I want this fixed.
Loyal customer for over 3 years. Set up auto payment and this past year, they didn't automatically withdrawal from my account for the monthly payment. Collection calls me. I find out the account had been in collections and late fees 200.00 worth of late fees! I called Ginny's asking why there were no phone calls made to me or letter letting me know they stopped autopay! They had no reason for the stop payment! They lied and stated, it's against the law to call in WI! So after an hour of trying to figure the problem, I had to pay the whole amount, 200.00 late fee, And $100 balance! They still want me to call back the week after to close my account because they weren't able to do it that day! My credit report now shows that Ginny's write off the charges as bad debt! Dumb business!

Received fraudulent bill for an order not made by me. The foreign individual that talked to me started fishing for information about me when I called to report the fraudulent billing. I am reporting to Attorney General of Wisconsin.
I have email confirmations from the past 3 months that confirm they have received my payments, but every month their site says I have not paid them. So every month I end up paying the current month and the "past due" balance. I called customer service and the woman kept telling me to call my bank. I told her it has to be an issue on her end because my other bills/payments are subtracted from my bank account just fine. She continued to tell me to call my bank. I just hung up on her. Got no where. You would think they wouldn't make it so hard to pay them. I even suggested giving her my credit card # over the phone but she said to just wait and see if this months payment posts. I said of course it won't post since the previous months haven't posted. Maybe the credit card # they had saved on file was wrong. She again said to call my bank. Ginnys, you should really think about hiring people who know what they are doing.
I ordered from here to improve my credit because they claimed to report to the 3 credit bureaus and to increase your credit limit after 6 timely payments. After way more than 6 timely payments still no credit increase. I also complained to them about this and that I did not see them on my credit score besides a credit inquiry which made my score go lower. They told me the computer does increases they do not and they could not help me. Also that they only report to credit bureaus when you do not pay so how does that actually help your credit? I almost do not want to pay them another dime because this has to be fraud.
Hi Stacie, thanks for reaching out and sharing your frustration with us. Please email us at socialcs@sccompanies.com referencing this post and including your contact information so we can look into this further. Our credit increase is something our systems do and not a manual request we can make. If there is anything we can do, please email us. Have a great day.
I opened my account with a credit limit of $250. I have made 2 monthly payments on time. My June statement shows I still have an available credit of $102. To my surprise when I opened my account online it is now showing that I am over my credit limit by $29. And my limit now is only $100. I called them and was told by 2 people that this if how they operate. I was given a promotional offer of $250 limit but it expired in 2 month!. What kind of company is this? I have never heard of such a thing and I have worked in credit and collections for over 35 yrs.

This company has reported false information on my credit report and refuses to remove the information. Their actions have caused my credit rating to decline. This is unfair and should be illegal. Reports inaccurate information on credit reports. Stay far away from them.
I ordered an item and then didn't need it. I wishedto return it and they told me I will have to pay. I was going to get some more items but after talking with the rude customer service representative I will NEVER get anything from there.
I am very disgusted with this company.
Just found this company did a soft pull on my credit report. Have no idea who they are or what they'd be doing inquiring on my credit report-caution is all I have to say. Even a soft pull will be on my report for 2-years. There will be a forthcoming dispute.

On top of everything else in 2020! I've had a charge account since 2014. I've not had a balance since 2018. Tried to use the account to have some gifts shipped. They sent an email with no instructions. I called the customer service they said I had to life the credit freeze on my report. I asked which bureau. No one could tell me. They offered to release the order with payment in full. I asked what's the point of the charge account?
After almost an hour being bounced around they still couldn't tell me what credit bureaus to release the freeze on. "I'm deeply sorry I don't have this information ". WTH?
Canceled the order now things probably won't get to their destination in time for the holiday. Thanks Ginny!
NEVER AGAIN!
Nov 30,2021 (I'm not sure why 2017 is showing) - My credit limit is over $2K. Zero balance. I just placed an order for a few hundred bucks a week ago for gifts. I got a letter in the mail yesterday that they couldn't pull my credit (I locked it), and so my order couldn't be processed... huh? Why do you need to check my credit for an existing open account in excellent standing? I emailed them and asked them to cancel the order. Never again! From the reviews I see that they are doing this to other customers as well. Also, from my past experience, if you write a less than 5 star review, they offer a partial refund to you and DO NOT post the review at all. That is not honest. A lot of items are also overpriced that you can find elsewhere cheaper. They lost me as a customer!

I recently purchase a toaster and a sewing kit from Ginny's, and love both items. Every time I order something from this company; I expect the best and am never
Disappointed.
I love Ginny and will continue to purchase from them items I need for my house.
Ginnys billing and payment procedures are all messed up. I made 2 payments using 2 separate transactions to put me ahead and now they show I missed a payment on the statement. The website shows me ahead a payment. This is baloney. I'll pay them off and never use them again. Ridiculous!
