Gilt has fraudulent online selling practices and misleading products advertisement. I bought a dresser with a changing table on top from their website. The changing table was portrayed to be vertical, but what arrived was a dresser with an horizontal changing table. The 3 or 4 different people in customer service I interacted with provided ludicrous explanations ranging from the fact that one cannot rely on a picture (!) to the fact that if I physically walk around the dresser it becomes vertical. They offered a small partial refund, but refused to take it back unless I sustained the shipping costs, which are of course high for furniture. Wasted hours discussing the issue with them over several days. STAY AWAY.
It's been 2 weeks since my purchase and after contacting customer service on multiple occasions, I still have no credit. Initially I was told it would be applied as soon as the item shipped. But that was a lie. They keep telling me they are working on it.
I absolutely heart Gilt, and I am one picky and seasoned shopper. I have probably bought 10-12 items from them over the last few months. They have some good deals on a variety of items, and shopping and return is a breeze. Understandably some of the items (final sales, lingerie, etc) are non returnable, and the ones that can be returned get you a store credit but not a cash refund. The discounts are not as steep as HauteLook, but thats probably because these guys actually have customer service and inventory departments who are actually doing their jobs! Nothing but love for Gilt!
After it was finally shipped, after numerous emails and two phone calls, the shipping label was so poorly attached it went in circles for over a week somewhere in missouri. Then allegedly set aside because my address could not be distinguished.
Now, after 4 1/2 weeks since my order, numerous calls, and a visit to both my local post office, who contacted the office where this unprofessionally-labeled package was stuck, it's lost.
Gilt will now be forced to refund my money because i've filed a dispute with my bank.
Writing this review makes me full of Gilt. I got this product last week and I use it everyday thinking it was a juice. Some people say I am filled with gilt because I drank the whole bottle in 2 minutes.

Ordered two vintage lights for Christmas gifts. One arrived on time. The other showed delivery due between December 16 and January 2. January 2 came and went. Called three times to find a delivery estimate. Each time was told the item was in the Las Vegas warehouse but Gilt could not provide further information. After four calls, I was able to get the name of the manufacturer. I'll get the information myself. WIsh me luck.
Do not buy shoes/boots/sandals from them. I ordered 3 pairs all at once. None of them fit. It's look like kid shoes. One is very long and very narrow, one is short and narrow, other is just small. It's seem like a manufacture defected or just simple put on the wrong size labels. They refused to accept refund or return. Never again, buy local store like Nordstrom that have great services. Gilt is a scam.
I really like the products from Gilt, but continue to be let down by their ability to fulfill in a timely fashion. I just placed an order for boots for my toddler son and they estimate shipment arrival in early to mid February. That is ridiculous. I ordered a wreath in the fall and it was 2 weeks later than anticipated. What gives? Why are they so lethargic? May have to reconsider buying any more from Gilt. I shop online a lot and they are by far the worst at timely order fulfillment.

In these instances, there can be a longer delivery period as we must wait until all orders are in from our members, order stock from the vendor, wait for it to come through and then ship it out. In cases like this, we will of course let you know before you make the purchase. The delivery period will be shown on the product page and at checkout. I hope this helps.

Gilt Group is a poorly run business with terrible customer service. After losing my package due to an IT issue, I got no refund or credit. They do not have a customer service line, so after 5 email exchanges I finally received a call from a "manager" who did absolutely nothing.
Do not ever buy toys from this site. The retail prices they quote are way above what they ever are listed on the box or packaging. A quick search on amazon, target or walmart reveals that even the gilt price is 10 to 25% higher than the regular prices at those other stores, and those site often offer free shipping with no return fees.
I own the same pair of Valentino Flats I purchased from this website. I thought since I loved my first pair(which were not from Gilt.com) that they would be exactly the same only in a different color. When i walked 5-10 minutes to dinner from my apartment my heels and pinky toes had large blisters. These were damaged product from the smart of them selling irregular and incorrect shoes. I agree with a couple reviews when I say I cant give no stars, because if I could you would not even get one. Then I asked to return them, and they say no. Bad customer Service. I will and won't ever shop this site again. Last $388 I ever spend. SHAME
I shop on gilt.com frequently, and I've always been happy with the service I get. The one time I received something defective (a bent umbrella) they were very apologetic and let me keep it for free. I love the products... a lot of this stuff I'd never be able to afford if shopping at regular designer retail stores. I don't care if it's especially made for gilt, I'm happy with the quality and love how it looks.
Worse site to shop from. They are a scam and save your money. They drop outdated items on sale and then charge but never shop out. This happened to me 3 times and I never received my packages. After going back and forth with them for almost two weeks they basically tell me they can't do anything to help me out about packages I haven't received.
I almost never write reviews for products, but this one is a necessary warning. I have been a customer of Gilt for years and noticed a marked decline in quality over the last year. Every item I received had arrived other than advertised. The last straw was a designer bag I had purchased online for nearly $2,000. Though advertised and priced as new, the item arrived in a dirty dust bag without its original packaging or tags. It also showed wear and tear on the back. When I contacted customer service, they refused to take responsibility. I purchased what I assumed was a brand new designer bag and in return received suspect merchandise. This company has become dishonest and unethical. Do not waste your money or energy here!
I really don't know how this online shop is still survives... I order an item from their online shop, not checking their review. Lesson learnt... after 16hrs I got an email saying that my order is cancelled... called customer service to find out the reason, I was told the price has changed and they gave me option of paying more or cancel.
I suggest you think quadruple times before you order from this people...
Gilt is the worst e-commerce website i've ever experienced! The product picture onsite is very nice but it's not 100% same as actual one. And the poor return policy is the worst on the earth! I said i can pay for the postage but they still didn't accept which i don't understand at all. It's just a waste of money to purchase anything from their site!
I've shopped on a few other flash sale websites before but this one gave me the worst experience.
-- Still very very poor quality comparing to the reduced price. Full priced items with the same price would be much better.
-- No refund, instead, only store credits. But I don't really want to shop there again with this bad experience.
-- Lots of the items don't even allow returning.
Beware of their return policy, it is terrible. All their jewelry items are final sale, meaning, you can't even get credit, they simply won't take it back, period. This is a crazy policy because guess what, jewelry have to fit correctly too, esp. Bracelets/cuffs. Their shipping charges are also very high, so customers beware.
I shop at the flash sale site about once a week though I look at it daily. The few times I've had return/concern issues they've been wonderfully helpful. They have great service, good product and an addictive site.

I've been shopping on Gilt for probably the past 7 years. They are always amazing! Prices are great. Selection is great, and (being in Canada) I also love the fact that unlike some US retailers, they don't stupidly overcharge Canadian shoppers. Answer: DO NOT purchase from Gilt! They state they "stand behind the authenticity" of their products. THEY DO NOT! I paid $975.96 for a LV handbag. Later, (after the 30 day refund policy) it started falling apart. Found out it was a fake. Gilt will not exchange or do anything to correct this. It's horrible customer service.
