The red blazer and matching trousers were something Id been eyeing for a while post the holidays. I finally decided to make the purchase and I am IN LOVE. The blazer is cut perfectly and fits like a glove. Its amazing with the pants and paired with other pieces (striped pants & jeans too!)l. I always get compliments when I wear it. The pants are adorable and when worn together, whats better then red from top to bottom! It's my fave statement look right now. I am giving 4 stars because the pants could fit my booty (I have one) a slight bit better!

I bought 2 sweaters on sale (at $90-100 range) because the material description say wool-acrylic-mohair blend. I was suspicious of sizing so I chose the oversized style. Took 3 weeks for them to arrive, which I expected as they came from China.

The sweaters were warm, but definitely not as stylish as the photos. They were also HORRIBLY itchy and smelled SUPER WEIRD (like gasoline!). The itchiness went away after I soaked them for 3 times. For the smell, I had to use up a bottle of cheap vodka to neutralize, then sprayed them with perfume over and over again until the sweeter scent stuck.

The prices are steep which leads you to believe that the quality will deliver. I paid $200 for a purse which I believed to be leather but it is faux at best. Most the clothing in unlined and poorly stitched. They run sales so that you can't return things not because they are actually offering a discount. Customer service is horrible. AVOID AT ALL COSTS - they are featured in a lot of fashion blogs but listen to all of the awful review of this company. A nice website and photographs does not equal a good company.

Saw this site through social media and really loved the look of one of their coats, so I waited a bit and it ended up actually going on sale! Score, right? Wrong. For the huge amount I still had to pay POST sale discount, this was a huge fail in all aspects. It took forever for the item to be shipped, even longer for it to arrive. When it finally did arrive I was shocked to see how poor quality of an item I had ordered. The item looks cheap in every aspect, the material, the stitching, the hardware everything was off and cheap. Im furious because I didnt even pay full price for the item. Based on the other reviews this is not out of the ordinary! Never again, do not recommend!

I found this site through an instagram ad, but I regret giving in and making a purchase. I was suspicious of this site as soon as I saw that they ship from China, but it looked legitimate enough to be safe, so I made a purchase anyway. The item looked as pictured, but literally all the buttons came unstitched when I tried the item on (and I definitely didn't overstretch it or anything). It was bizarre, I'm not sure how no one in quality control caught that -- or perhaps there is no quality control. I emailed immediately and explained the situation, and they were only able to offer me store credit in exchange for the bad item. As I'm looking for something to use the store credit on, the site looks more and more sketchy to me. They have exact knock offs of items from other retailers (i. E. Free People trapeze slip -- also the fact that they're called "Genuine People" is weird), which I would think wouldn't be allowed, but perhaps it hasn't been caught yet. The lack of reviews for items is a red flag as well. Shipping is slow, as mentioned by others, but I wouldn't mind this if the items were of high quality. Overall, I wouldn't bother with this site, better safe than sorry.

I see a lot of negative reviews below about customer service, but I had a very pleasant/prompt interaction with an employee. Perhaps they've stepped it up since they just started out.

I would avoid ordering from this company as the other reviews have stated- wish I had seen these sooner. I had to contact them twice as the "processing" took double the time quoted on my order confirmation: "Thank you so much for your order! One of us will get your items boxed up and shipped in the next 1-3 Working Days. Once it ships, you will receive a second email with your shipping details"- for reference, none the statements/promises made in the aforementioned quote were fulfilled, accurate or honest. I took multiple attempts to even get a response. Ironic, considering it says their customer service is available to help from 9-6 PST. It was not until I told them I would be flagging the charges via my bank, that I heard back at all and was told "good news! You're item has been shipped". No explanation for the time lag. I still have not received my product and am skeptical that it will arrive in the now extremely pushed back delivery window. Its a domestic shipment so the fact that I have received international items in less time is beyond sketchy and extremely disappointing given the price-point of their products and labels they carry. It is quite clear that they never bothered to even prep the order or respond until I offered to stop payment. Mind you I had already been charged on day 1 of my order being placed. The shipping label literally was not even created until yesterday. Genuine People did nothing to remedy the situation and feels they need to supply no explanation or communication to their patrons. For high end clothing or just general customer respect, I would look to alternative retailers.

I bought a knit set and knit sweater with extra 40% off, which is cheaper than other brands. The design looks lux. The knit material keep you warm but it is not really soft. I think it might be itchy to some. I would give 5 stars for the value.

However, I would give 1 stars for the shipping and customer service. My order took more than a half month to be deleveried. Moreover, they havent replied my email for a week. Aditionally, discounted clothes are not refundable.

Beware to decide your size because their clothes are smaller than other brands, and it takes about 7$ to return. If you want to exchange, the only way is to return then process a new order, which might miss promotion.

I was a little nervous because I read a few bad reviews but I am so happy with my experience with Genuine People! My order was quickly received and I couldn't be happier with the pieces I got! It's hard for me to find clothes that fit into my style, body and budget. I prefer high end style but with a little edge and more gender neutral appeal but I am "ballin on a budget" so it's always a little tricky. I bought a couple really cool staples and the fit and quality are both commendable!

I was surprised to read some of the reviews because my experience was very different. I was a little hesitant to order but I really loved this jacket so I sent a message on their online form to ask about sizing. The customer service person got back to me right away, and explained the size and measurement guide. I took my measurements, placed my order, and my new jacket fit perfectly! The shipping was fast too! I will without a doubt shop this site again.
