Unable to uninstall Comodo Firewall in Windows 10. Geek buddy wants me to sign up for a $89 a year contract before they help. Feel really let down by Comodo and GeekBuddy.

STAY AWAY!
November 14, 2014

STAY AWAY! They take advantage and sabatage your computer! They are not helpful and are only after your money. I would have chosen zero stars if that was an option. EXTREMELY MAD AND IRRITATED because now I have to have my computer repaired.

Serious is a scam
June 8, 2016

I was just trying to get tech support about comodo firewall, which is handled by geek buddy, in an online chat. Suddenly the "technician" goes off on how I have spyware installed and identity theft infections. Except even if true he has no way of knowing that. It was an web chat. Clearly he was repeating a script he uses to scare actual users into buying. But it was a blatant lie. I called in and asked to speak to a manager only to be told only paying customers can speak to managers. So one of their employees is committing fraud and they wont listen unless I pay them money... right... I also tried to speak to someone at comodo "corporate" I got a sales guy who at least wasn't in India. He listened to my concerns and said he would transfer me to the American arm of geekbuddy. But there I was talking to an Indian again, and it wasn't even GeekBuddy it was SSL certificates. I tried to call back the sales person to see if he transferred me to the wrong place by mistake, but the call is dropped the moment i picked option 3. I guess I was blacklisted for trying to raise concern that their "product" is scamming people

Must be a scam
November 22, 2016

GeekBuddy adds popped up on my screen every minute when I was using my pc, warning of many issues found, then numerous malware found, and finally system critical, and programs crashing! Their phone number was written large across the add, so I called them. They told me that they could repair my computer and give me a one year service contract for $200.00, or a special deal of three years for only $150.00more. I declined the extra period of protection and told them that I could Not afford it. So then they asked if I was a senior citizen and said they would sell me the extra two year period for only $79.00 Well, like a fool I bought it. After more than 3 hours of being passed from one tech rep to another, I told them that I had to leave, and could they finish up without me, I ws told by the last tech support guy that would be no problem. Two hours later while I'm away from home, GeekBuddy called me wanting to know if I could restart my computer. I reminded them that I was not at home, so they said no problem, as they still had remote access to my computer. When I returned home, I tried to use the computer and got a popup message that my computer was not protected. When I tried to call GeekBuddy I got nothing, so I looked at my call logs of my phone to get the number that they called me from and it is a five digit number which is not a usable number for calling them. In the end I called McAfee and they uninstalled GeekBuddy, now my computer works just fine. I need to contact GeekBuddy so that I can get my money back. This company is the worst!

Left a PUP. Optional. Spigot. Generic file on my computer. Why? These are Potentially Unwanted files (PUP) and usually cause problems.

Spyware
May 30, 2016

Geekbudy is a spyware program that hacks into your personal information and accesses other applications on your computer. It had accessed my chat camera multiple times, but it was unsuccessful in recording anything because I keep the camera itself covered with a sticker when I'm not using it. It also accessed many other applications and files on my computer. In the end, I had to take my laptop to someone to remove everthing it put on my laptop, and unfortunately my laptop had to be COMPLETELY wiped in order to regain access to my files. DO NOT DOWNLOAD GEEKBUDY!

Total Scam
July 30, 2015

I have Comodo on 3 computers. A machine that was Windows 7, one that was Windows 8 and one that was Windows 8.1. No problem at all with Comodo. All machines have been updated to Windows 10. The windows 7 machine is now having issues with Comodo. I get a "GeekBuddy" on the line and allow him to remote access my computer. He proceeds to open Event Viewer, then "Administrative Events" and tells me that because of all the Warning and Error in the Administrative Events log that I need to spend a few hundred dollars to have them fix it... the ADMINISTRATIVE EVENTS LOG! Not even the System log, Not the Application log, Not even the Security Log... the freaking Admin log, with things that have nothing to do with the systems operations. OH, warning, XYZ program can't read the CDROM... because it's empty, Comodo wants you to shell out tons of money for them to fix things that are not broken. When I pressed to have him repair the software I requested, he refuses, telling me that if I don't fix all these errors in the Admin log my machine will "meet a terminal fate" F'n Jokers.
